When I came downstairs this morning, the ground was nearly clear. By 2:00 pm, it was covered in a thick layer of snow, with more expected to arrive over the next few days.
Looks like tonight's dinner will be McDonald's by battery-powered lamplight. The electricity has gone out in our neighborhood, due to the heavy weather.
A 600-meter bicycle path in the Netherlands, designed by artist and innovator Daan Roosegaarde. The path is embedded with stones covered in a UV-sensitive coating. The stones absorb sunlight by day, and release photoluminescent energy at night. The patterns are modeled after Van Gogh's "Starry Night".
