  1. Hey, Spunky Drewster!
  2. If anyone wants to try their hand at baking a cake from scratch, I have a carrot cake recipe to share. https://www.cookingclassy.com/carrot-sheet-cake/
  3. Well, Max enjoyed his sleepover this past weekend. It was a mix of kids from school and his ballet group. A good opportunity to hang out with some friends outside of ballet classes, and to let the two groups mingle, I suppose. They had pizza ordered in, followed by some trivia games and a movie on Netflix. At lights-out, the girls stayed on the main floor while the boys headed down to the basement. A good report all around, but I think Max will appreciate sleeping in his own bed tonight.
  4. Hey, Drew! Any funny cat stories to share? Hey, Man! Hey, Terry!
  5. I'm familiar with that feeling, myself.
  6. For us, it's grilled steak skewers, smashed potatoes, a nice green salad, and strawberry shortcake.
  7. Makes sense. You can't eat studs. Oh, wait. Ummm, it'll fill you up. Gah. That sounds worse. I'm just gonna quit now. That's what I get for staying up until 4 a.m.
  8. Oh, yeah! Sorry, I got them conflated! Sadly, the original French version didn't have subtitles as it was advertised, so I had to rely on my limited knowledge of French and some context clues to understand some of the jokes. Initially, Disney did an English voice-over, but they botched it so badly that Roger Ebert actually insulted the movie in his review. Regardless, I remember "Mimi-siku" was very cute in both versions of the story.
  9. Hey, Tim! How's it going?
  10. Sounds like the opposite of an American movie called The Shaggy Dog. A lawyer is bitten by a dog from Tibet, which has mystical powers. When the lawyer gets stressed out in the courtroom (as lawyering is wont to be), he behaves like a dog. Sort of reminds me of how Un Indien dans la Ville was adapted into George of the Jungle. Both of the aforementioned American movies feature Tim Allen, and are both equally unwatchable.
  11. Good night, Drew! Don't let the spiders bite!
  12. Yayo is neglecting his guard duties.
  13. Currently, my favorite gay story is the relationship between Jesper and Wylan on Netflix's Shadow and Bone series. Yes, it's only a watered-down representation of who they are in the original novels, but still one of the better relationships I've seen in a TV adaptation.
  14. Congratulations, Clo! What Gary said, ditto here. We're all proud of you, and I'm sure that your mom would be, too.
  15. Good night, Drew!
  16. There was some miscommunication on our part there. The hamburger meat had been cooked previously, but was reheated in a microwave.
  17. Hey, Drewberry Pi!
  18. Max: *sneaks up behind Clo and snatches some strawberries*
  19. Hey, Clo! Happy Wednesday!
  20. Yup! We did the grocery shopping tonight, and Max got invited to a sleepover at his friend, Michael's place.
  21. @raven1 Hey, Terry! How are things?
  22. The Universe tastes like raspberries. Scientists discovered a cloud of gas particles close to the center of the Milky Way galaxy. This isn't remarkable by itself, but when they aimed a light spectrometer telescope at this particular gas cloud, it was determined that the cloud was made up of ethyl formate. Which is the compound that gives raspberries their flavor.
