  1. The only reason I watched that show is because of the eye candy that is Gavin Casalegno.
  2. One of the whales surfaced a bit too close to the boat, so the pilot cut the engine. Our guide informed us that the whale was a female humpback. She rolled over to one side, so her eye was above the water level. She was probably curious about the tiny creatures on their floating thing. She stayed for two, three minutes or so, then dived down under the waves. We had to wait a bit before we were sure she was truly gone. I'll never forget that experience. The pupil of her eye was as big as the hubcaps on our rental car.
  3. We went on a whale-watching tour yesterday. It was so amazing!
  4. We had pancakes for breakfast this morning, with marionberry syrup. (A variety of blackberry, which has notes of raspberry.) 😋
  5. No, Gary made sure to include you.
  6. Collateral damage doesn't count towards being nice.
  7. I said nothing of the sort.
  8. Yup! It's lovely, so far.
  9. Well. At least the sea otters will have something more interesting to play with besides kelp.
  10. Also, there are new chapters available for my story.
  11. I know someone who breeds pigs. Anytime I need bacon, ham or pork mince, I get it from him. A few times, I've even helped him prepare the pork belly that would eventually become bacon, so I know what he adds to the meat. Making bacon from scratch is certainly more labor-intensive, but well worth the trouble. 😋
  12. New chapters are available.
  13. The Dough and the Window Light Cira — second day of the week, associated with rhythm and learning. First Flame, early morning. Several dawns had passed. The city had dried. Cedric had said nothing about the old monk near the baker’s row, and neither had the boys. But the silence between them had shifted—less a shield now, more a waiting breath. They worked, rested, laughed—carefully. Morning arrived pale and slow, pouring in through the high bakery windows in golden
  14. It's literally from South Park.
  15. Love you, too, buddy.
  16. Hey, Tea Bat. My family is almost ready for our trip to Washington.
  17. The Door Left Open Elaris, the day of thresholds and caution* Starcall, twilight—when endings hover and change begins It began with a door. Not slammed. Not even shut loudly. Just… left ajar. Ailin had gone to the well for water before Starcall. The light had nearly gone by the time he returned, the kitchen door—usually bolted, always secured before the light faded—was open a sliver. The fading sky threw its last gleam across the threshold, casting long gold into the quiet r
  18. Currently preparing for a family vacation in the Olympic Peninsula. I've always wanted to visit Washington state, and I'm finally gonna make that dream a reality.
  19. Hey, Nicky! You look nice and green today, Your Froginess.
  20. @Flip-Flop I noticed a continuity error in the last chapter. Towards the end, the calendar jumped from Vena (Wednesday) to Auryn (Saturday). The passage has been corrected, so it makes sense now.
  21. I never suggested anything of the sort. That was your interpretation of Spikey's words.
