One of Max's friends came out as transgender at school today. Max hugged her and said, "Thank you for for telling me. I know things are hard right now, but we'll get through this." Someone who overheard their conversation said, "Ewww, gross!" Peyton (Max's former bully turned buddy), fired back with, "Yeah, you are gross! Ever tried using a napkin at the lunch table?"
Legends and Lattes, by Travis Baldree. An orc warrior named Viv has had enough of bloodshed---monster slaying really isn't good for her lower back---so, she decides to hang up her sword and settle down in the bustling territory of Thune. To support herself, she decides to start a coffee shop. The catch? Coffee is relatively unknown outside of the Gnomish lands. Also, could she possibly be falling for Tandri, the succubus she's hired as the shop's barista?
Huh. Some suggestions from a chat group of chicken farmers:
1. If the chickens graze outside in the yard, instead of feeding from a tray, the flavor of the eggs will simply be more pronounced.
2. It could also be the result of the chickens eating flax seed or wild onions, which can affect the quality of the eggs.
3. Check your fridge to ensure nothing with a strong odor is near the eggs, as the smell will be absorbed through the shell.
4. Or, perhaps the oven was too hot. Cooking the eggs at higher temperatures gives a strong flavor, as well as a rubber-like texture.
The eggs might have been a bit too old. They don't necessarily need to be putrid, but when eggs are close to expiring, the flavor becomes overpowering.
