I stopped at my workplace to pick up a paycheck that I'd accrued while I was in the hospital, and I was delighted to see my favorite item on the Specials board: my employer's take on a baked potato pizza.
Garlic oil, potato slices, bacon, sautéed leeks, some fresh herbs, and plenty of mozzarella and Parmesan. I got two of them to bring home for dinner.
Hey, Tea Bat. We're doing well at the moment. I just returned from an appointment to have the sutures removed from my head; twenty-six staples in all. I was able to drive myself home, too. There will be a follow-up appointment in a month or two, to ensure everything is functioning as it should be.
Max has ballet class after school, and Colton will be having some friends over to play soccer. Not sure yet what we'll have for dinner, but the other kids won't be staying that late.
In 8th grade, there were two boys (I think they were cousins) whose family didn't have much money. They wore hand-me-downs from an older brother. They didn't wear underpants on Fridays, as that was usually laundry day. The warm-up in gym class was...interesting.
