  1. Ahh, the Wiki I was reading from was also written in French. Maybe there's a different numbering system? Or perhaps it was only a typo. 😅 But anyways, thanks so much for the update, Zombie!
  2. From a French soap series called Demain Nous Apartient, we're blessed with Jack Dumas Roussell and Rayane Saeed. In Season 6, Jack is injured in a car accident, leaving his eyesight severely impaired. When he reappears in Season 7, his tense, somewhat antagonistic relationship with Rayane grows into a reluctant friendship, and later blossoms into a full romance. The series is only available in French without subtitles, and my knowledge of the language is very limited. That being said, I can make due with some educated guesswork, and fill in the rest with context clues.
  3. He feels intimidated by dairy cows. 🐄
  4. Oh, I've been drafting a new story. A young English man travels to the Scottish islands of Hebrides, and becomes the navigator for an air mail service. He slowly starts falling in love with his colleague, who's the pilot. Also, Colton discovered that he likes baking more than cooking, though he's learned a few recipes for preparing meals, too. Max is actually Level 3: he's able to cook independently, without his dads hovering over his shoulder; but, he's NOT allowed to cook without at least one adult in the house.
  5. Hey, Nicky! Glad to hear from you again.
  6. Good night, Bumble B.
  7. @spike382 and @Drew Espinosa It took me a few moments to realize whom I was seeing in this picture. https://ar.pinterest.com/pin/28780885113010647/
  8. I just finished reading The Vanished Ones, by Chad Lucas. On Rhodenroode Island, a remote colony of the Homeland, there sits a Mission on the Hill, where boys are taken in and taught the ways of the faith. Darian is the only trainee of his race there, and he doesn’t remember how he came to the Mission. All he remembers are brown hands and the belly of a ship. Life among the other boys and the cantankerous Brothers is not always easy, but Darian is determined to live up to the lofty calling the leaders of the Mission have laid out for that one day he will carry the Sacred Word to places it has yet to reach. But when another trainee at the Mission disappears—the latest in a string of vanishings—Darian is determined to solve the mystery that begins to shake his faith in what he’s always been taught. When Darian and his friend Micah sneak away from the Mission and head east to see what they can learn about the rebel sect supposedly responsible for the vanishings, they discover that the island holds far more secrets than they ever could have imagined—and somehow, they must save the other boys at the Mission from a danger even greater than they realized.
  9. Hey, Gary. How's Cookie?
  10. Not to steal your thunder, Dugh, but I believe my GA-versary is tomorrow. It'll be my 9th.
  11. Peace? It's rare that we've ever had a quiet day since you joined!
  12. Then why are there posts dating back as far as 2006?
  13. My latest work-in-progress: Arthur, a young man from London, is discharged from the British Armed Services, having been deemed "generally unfit and lacking the necessary vigor for basic training." Fed up with his father's chronic criticisms and disappointment, Arthur answers an advertisement for a mail courier service, making his own path to the Scottish islands of Hebrides. Once there, Arthur meets Lachlan, the young pilot responsible for delivering letters and parcels across the islands. Lachlan is a bright soul with wild energy and even wilder hair---but he's also hampered and harried by the enormous burden left on his shoulders after the sudden death of his mentor. The moods of Arthur's new supervisor are as ever-changing as the weather, but he is ready and willing to meet the challenge. As the two young men work together, pilot and navigator, they forge connections with the residents of the Hebridean archipelago, and with each other. Before long, Arthur believes he may have found a home---and possibly more---in the cottage he shares with Lachlan. There may or may not be an external threat in the form of German U-boats. I'm still deciding what form I want the conflict to have.
  14. It's meatloaf for us, with mac and cheese and a salad on the side.
  15. You just proved Spikey's point about the perviness. That's all your own doing. Sorry, Clo, but the truth hurts.
  16. Awww, what a cutie! And he has good taste in room decor.
  17. I've seen the trailer.
  18. In the UK, there are several electrical power plants which were built to handle the extra load when everyone turns on their tea kettles. Engineers at the power plants study TV guides to ascertain when they should activate the generators, so the power grid doesn't descend into cascade failure. In the USA, the only phenomenon that might come close is the use of HVAC (indoor climate-control) systems during the summer and winter, but our power grid already has those factors accounted for.
  19. @dughlas I saw this clip of Mason Ramsey, and I can't believe he's so tall now. Reminded me that Max is turning 13 in just eight weeks.
