I posted it just after midnight, or early this morning. Since it's a work day for me, I would not have had time for posting before I left for the office. That means the story would have been posted about now, early afternoon, because that's when I eat lunch. And if it was a really busy day, I would not have gotten to it until almost dinnertime. So, I thought it would be better to have the first chapter available for the entire day, rather than just ten or so hours after lunch. That will hold true for the entire story now.

The monster shoved its way down the broad street, brushing the facades off buildings with each sweep of its massive tail. Faces in the seventh-floor windows gaped and contorted and screamed as the baleful black eyes looked in at them in passing. The guys are rolling along now with their business, Third Planet Inquiries, and it looks like their future is secure. Good ol’ planet earth has a lot of strange things going on that need to be investigated! And as Halloween approaches, Kippy is hoping something will come up to occupy their attention, something creepy or spooky, in keeping with that holiday. So, when Amy gets a strange phone call, things start to get interesting, and the guys are off on another adventure, just in time for Halloween!

Sounds like this haint no joke! The place would seem to be possessed by something. The windows are a key. But perhaps WHY they are a key is important, too. Seems to me some ardent snooping is called for here!

I have to admit this feels like a very good first chapter to something that should be much longer. But it stands as it is, and only makes us WISH for more. I don't believe you can do more, as an author, than to leave the reader smiling and wanting more! Except, maybe write to the author, and ask for more! MORE!
