On my GA feed, this story is on Page 3 of the GFD list of stories. On page 4, there are three more chapters to the story with this same Title. Still not complete, but good reading anyways. The three writers who participated in the round robin did a good job. I wish they’d take it further. 😄

Well sadly the beginnings of yet another amazing Comicality story that will never be completed… although, he did mention this was originally supposed to be a collaboration. Are any of you out there one of those possible Collaborators? I’d love to see someone step-up and add a little closure to some of the far-flung strings Comicality originally cast.

Comicality put together great stories. This is a great addition to the GFD series. But a warning is required. He didn’t finish it. If you’re catching up on his stories like me, the 1-chapter shorts are guaranteed to be pleasing. This one with 4 chapters is awesome, but sadly, awful in the fact it builds an amazing storyline that is simply never going to take you to the next chapter, much less the end of the story.

Great story Lee. And just to add a little support, I understand Zuri’s comments, but Love and Marriage … as the theme song states… goes along like a horse and carriage. They don’t have to be and seldom are one unit. You can ride the horse without hitching up the carriage. My husband and I were together for 16 years before it was legal to get married. The reason we decided to finally make it legal was because he wasn’t employed at the time and suddenly everyone was required to have Medical Insurance. So it was a federal law that made our marriage happen. Without it, we’d still be happily together wearing rings, with our finances legally entangled the old fashioned way Gay couples used to have to do it. I can’t wait to see what you write next.

Oh man… what a cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers. RIP Comicality. This was a great series!

See this is what I mentioned in the last chapter … “If the prophecy says that he has to be taken from me in order for the world to live...then the prophecy has to be changed. Either that...or I'd gladly take the rest of the world into the abyss with us when it ends.” We really shouldn’t piss-off someone who can take us all into the abyss with him. Are they just fucking idiots?

I loved that whole paragraph at the end that had, “The world doesn't need another structure, Justin. It doesn't need another loudmouth demagogue, telling the people what to think, what to believe, or how to feel. Leading them down a dark path by a league of control freaks who crave applause more than an opportunity to make the world a better place. No. We've been down that road many times before...and we know where it leads." Now that’s about as real world as it gets in 2024!

I knew it! I knew Rage was Taryn’s little brother! Dammit! Why did I take so long to read these when I have so many comments and questions for Com!?! Ugh!

Knowing that Comicality won’t be able to reply, I haven’t taken the opportunity to read much he’s written, but I’m catching up now and I really like this story so far. He definitely had a way with imagery and dark emotions.

As sad as I am to know there won’t be another chapter next week, this was an awesome way to wrap up this story. You have a gift. Thank you for sharing it with us.

For the record, I like combined chapters… or just really long ones. You weave a great story. I love the characters, the imagery, the dialogue. So I’d love getting to spend more time in that story when you’ve gone to all the effort to grab my imagination.

Did I misread something earlier? I thought they were taking over a ranch property Farmer owned, not repairing the home next to the park for the boys?

So I just binged this story over the weekend (plus a couple days). What a story. I had tears in my eyes a few times… especially the last few chapters. I see how so many of your stories have the same muse. 😄. I love all of them, but this one… I could see when it became more than just a story. A bit of real life, a bit of fiction, a bit of cathartic release, a bit of righteous anger, a lot of love and all married together strongly enough to make a Delveccio gravy jealous. I'm looking forward to the next installments of all of your stories!

Geez! I couldn’t figure which emoji to use on this original post. Just started reading this story now in 2023. Like wasn’t right, the big-eyed one seemed off. A hug would be appropriate but isn’t an option, but the heart… for you being there for your husband seems most appropriate.

Treat them right and leather pants will last forever. I have a pair I’ve owned since the 90’s. Been through more bikes than pants! Zippers are the only thing that break on leather pants and I expect the gnome used laces instead of zippers.

Out of curiosity, was it ever mentioned what Lloyd Corporation does? Being a working schmuck in the corporate world now, but a history with a Department of Defense, I have to question the expense to profit ratio. I know how much a submarine costs. 😄 The story has a lot of good will, but a corporation also needs an income. Where is the income coming from?

I’ve withheld comment t since I just discovered this series of stories and I knew it was already completed. But finally others have said something I’ve felt since the first story. Trenton is not a good person with others. I think someone mentioned it previously and you shut them down with a simple, “no”. But if he isn’t high-functioning autistic or has Asperger’s, then he’s a prick.

I can’t believe I missed that there was a sequel to Spirit Wolves, but I love the fact that unlike all of your other loyal followers, I got to binge this entire story over the weekend. Awesome story. I can’t wait for book 3! On a side note, I was kind of hoping the different colored wolves in the dreams would be the key to a genetic sequence that would lead to the cure…

I may be expecting more from the Kardoval than everyone else. These leaders have the memory of others. You think this is the first time there was a rebellion? They’ve successfully suppressed their own histories to keep people from knowing the extent of what they’ll do to stay in power. I think Garjah is a great leader and strategist, but unless one of his memories is of trying to overthrow power-hungry politicians, he is the one in danger here. They know what they’re doing… they’ve done it before, guaranteed.

I read “Brothers” and had to go find the beginning of the story. Very enjoyable! What a unique set of characters you’ve created. Now on to book 2. Hopefully I’ll find out about Calico Nekos at some point. 😄

A very fun story! I haven’t read the preceding stories, so this was my intro to a very interesting world you created. Fantastic story telling!

If I knew how to do that url thing and post a picture of our zoo (or ark), I would… including a Rat we rescued after it was kicked out of its nest in the attic who likes to cuddle with his human dad (thank god, not me!) and plays chase with the kitten we rescued from a tree before the coyotes could get to her. If there is trouble in the house the two of them are probably causing it and driving my dogs nuts! 😂
