This is one of the best page turners I've ever read. I'm jealous of anyone who is just now starting with chapter one. The descriptions and flow of the story are amazingly balanced. They create great images, and suspense you can taste until you are able to read the next chapter. A wonderfull masterpiece from a great artist.

My mouth moved, but the words weren’t mine.

“So,” I said, voice calm, curious, almost amused, “even if I turned out to be a test-tube baby from a lab experiment gone wrong — and maybe some kind of ... — that’d still be okay?”

The pressure eased. My vision cleared.

…Well, (said faintly inside my head), that went better than expected.

Instructions: Read carefully and with purpose or you WILL miss all the key points in this spell-binding, riveting, thriller from @Jeff Burton.

From the first sentence on the first page to last sentence, you will be caught up in this can't put down (if it was in print 🤞?) book.

A truly exceptionally well written thriller/mystery/family drama.

This had a little bit of it all.  The characters were amazing well written, and they all just grabbed you from the moment you encountered them.

The ebb and flow of the story was perfect.  It would build to a crescendo and then you would get a few answers then the buildup would begin again.

It also asked a couple of really important societal questions, how much are we depending on technology and what happens when you lose access to your creation.

You won't be able to stop when you start.  And I truly hope there is a part two.

Josh Quinn wakes up injured in a hospital bed from a serious car rash was no memory of his past. He begins to learn fragments of his life, but his full life remains encrypted. He gradually exhibits uncommon fighting skills and shows he has a brilliant mind beyond his years. He is fortunate to find a loving, supportive family to build a normal life and help him finish high school.

What may seen a normal life tuns out not to be one. Josh is tested and only lowly learns who he is and what he faces.

Read on and prepare to be fascinated by a substantial, exciting mystery story.

I've read a lot of great stories on GA and this ranks right up in the top one percent!  The characters are more than complex, they are human, believable and more importantly they grab you emotionally as you feel their pain, their hopes and travails.   The writing is excellent with great pacing and style as well.

I recommend this story to anyone who likes a compelling story.

I really enjoyed reading this book.

The author has crafted a very believable world where anything can happen. The procedures seem logical, the storyline works, the characters seem real and you can admire them.

I don't like it put spoilers in my reviews.

This is an action packed read and I was eager to read each chapter as it arrived and as the story unfolded I wasn't disappointed. Only by the delay but you won't get that as it's now complete to read in an uninterrupted whole🙂

Well done to the author.

After surviving a horrific car crash, a teenager wakes up in a hospital bed with severe injuries and total amnesia. Rescued by a state trooper and cared for by devoted hospital staff and watchful officials, he learns fragments about himself - though he may only slowly… or not at all pieces together his past.

All he knows for certain is that he was adopted, and that his real name is Joshua Thomas Quinn. But that truth is only the first crack in a much larger mystery.

What begins as a medical drama soon transforms into a compelling family story, then spirals into a gripping blend of thriller, intelligence operations, detective work, and the hint of supernatural.

This is an unforgettable story about identity, destiny, and finding family - while one question lingers in the shadows: who is he really?

Read this masterpiece and uncover the truth.

A wonderful and exciting suspense story, well-crafted, with striking plot twists and lots of interesting characters. At the core is a fascinating young man whose secrets keep many of the plot twists going and a loving family whose entitled status has not interfered with their humanity.

Altogether a great read.

So I not only say BRAVO!!! I say BRAVO!!! infinity squared....... I know that's probably not a real thing but you get the point. In all seriousness I highly, highly recommend this

Absolutely powerful writing that will challenge the reader to wonder "could this really happen or has it already been done?"  Has any government, including our own, genetically engineer a human intel agent?  And what would life be like for this agent?  This story certainly addresses that question.

I will attempt to keep this spoiler-free.

Jeff had created a rather unique story that blends elements from a few different genres with a nod to how much technology is too much.

Josh wakes up after a horrific car crash with no memory of who he is. At first, he lives in a perpetual fog as something seems intent on keeping him in the dark. But as more pieces of his past start to come to light, we are taken on a quick-paced tale filled with twists, secrets revealed, and an ending that will leave you breathless.

Encrypted might be one of the easiest reads of last year and one of my favorites on GA without question. I highly recommend you read this wonderful tale. I don't like rating authors work and I wish we weren't forced to leave a star rating but this is an easy five star.

This was a such a wonderful story! The plot was  gripping. But the characters were so interesting and well drawn—Josh, Adam, James, Claire, Rodney—that I think I would have loved the story even without the adventure and intrigue. I came to really love these characters and would have been happy had the story simply explored these relationships and Josh’s new life. The fact that we got both amazing characters and a suspenseful, action packed plot is an incredible testament to the author’s skill.

This is an amazing and ambitious story. It's the first part of a bigger tale, but it ended on a good stopping point. I don't really know how to review this without giving away spoilers, but I'll try.

There are two sides to this story. One is about a teenager who doesn't remember anything after an accident and has to get used to a new life with a new family. The other side is something I can't even begin to talk about without giving away too much, that side takes makes the story unique and takes it in a direction I definitely didn't expect from the first chapters.

If someone had told me what that second side before I read the story, I would have been sceptical of the ability of meshing those genres with the ones from the first side. But the authors pulls it off very well, integrating those two aspects to not make them feel part of the same story. I wish I could explain better, but this is the best I can do without revealing more than I should.

Wow what an amazing read... It's been a while since i came across a story with this level of writing, you get attached to the characters from the go and Jeff really know how to develop them well. It's never boring, and we get to learn things from every perspectives which is so cool. Can't wait for the second book, i have a feeling we just got the basis from a story that could get very interesting. Thank you for this Jeff ! And people ! Go read it !!!

I’m not sure what I can add beyond the already written reviews, but this book is certainly worth the time it will take to read it.

We have a teen-aged boy who due to a tragic accident loses his memory of everything that came before. If that wasn’t bad enough, he somehow finds himself involved with the alphabet soup that is the US government. Twists and turns abound. There’s even one character you just want to strangle, and another you have to wonder whose side they’re on.

Stir it all together and you’ve got something worthy of professional authors. So, stop reading reviews and read the story!!!
