Air Force Academy is about 5 miles as the owl flies in one direction. Peterson AFB is less then a mile. airport is about 3 miles in another and Fort Carson army base is about 4 miles in another

omg. one of the jets just went over and set off the alarms in the parking lot. not nice dud. i can still hear the plane this was his 4th pass. my head hurts now

it's a nice poem that evokes memories of a day a number of years ago, when my son and i were in a park and we got caught in a storm of them. there was close to a hundred that we startled out of their rest and they flew just over our heads. cool moment, cool poem. thanks

i inherited one from the 1970's. i had to finally get rid of it in 2015. not because it didn't work, but i broke the plastic lid and there was no replacement available.
