“Thanks. We can do each other’s hair while we talk about boys.” OMG what a great line! LMAO
-
A very nice "feel good" chapter!!
-
WOW - another super-charged exchange between the boys. I'm really glad to see Chase standing up and putting some real teeth in his words to Hank. It may be a little to late because it seems that Kevin has already marked his territory so to speak. And yea - why take Rex! I think it's just another way for Hank to punish Chase with this last minute decision with no advance notice to him. Another great chapter Gary!! Thanks.
-
Yes, I agree, Hank is being an ass. We still don't know his complete background but it seems he has issues as well. Therapy ? Perhaps!! It seems he is very astute in psychological projection - transferring his anger of one individual onto another. Is his anger with his Mother so deeply ingrained that he passes that to Chase? I'm sure all will be revealed eventually! I agree this was a "meaty" chapter. Thank you Gary for a great read!!
-
This will be an interesting development to see if this is a catalysis for change in Hank's attitude towards Chase!! He is acting like a spoiled neglected old queen!! Kevin?? I doubt this is a relationship in the making!! Another great chapter Gary - thank you so much.

Chapter 4 Mac and Cheese
KayDeeMac commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 4 Mac and Cheese
Another very powerful chapter chocked full of emotion, insights and self acknowledgement. You are painting a very realistic picture of a very complex mixture of human psychodynamics! The mac and cheese was excellent and brought forth some laughter - which can also be a wonderful panacea. I think it helped both Cindy and Chase. And yes, I see a glimmer of hope also for Chase to begin the long journey of healing. Great story Gary! Thank you!! -
Yes "captivating" is a very good portrayal of this chapter. And some very insightful comments from the readers. I do see and feel the anger/hurt Hank is presenting - and maybe, just maybe - a little hope! Thank you for sharing this heart wrenching but beautiful love story!
-
Jeez such emotionally distraught characters. They are all hurt and carrying baggage that needs to be swept away by something! I'm not sure therapy will be sufficient but perhaps it will open everyone to self realization of what their issues are and how to deal with them productively. Great chapter - showing each character's individual insecurities that need to be dealt with! Thanks for a great story!!
-
Well I'm new here to "Endings" but it certainly got my attention. Yes, it is different, but you are crafting a story upfront with very exposed raw emotions of the characters. I'm looking forward to the ride because I am well aware of your excellent writing skills! I am staying for more, more and more!!! Thank you Headstall!

"So, the nervous vomiting you did when I woke you up is perfectly normal?" Classic!! Great chapter and a wonderful story - even though it was a ghost story!! Looking forward to more Camp Refuge as well. Again, thank you Wayne for sharing your incredible talent with us all. David PS - I read somewhere the following: "The coldest ashes can hide an ember" ! :))
-
Yes a very emotionally powerful chapter!!! Good job Wayne! AND, no Harrisizing either! I'm happy about that!
-
Well Wayne you present a great diversion for all of us! You enable us to distance ourselves from the realities of today and live vicariously in the great stories you portray. You have no idea how much you help me maintain some sense of normalcy! My hat is truly off to you. To you and your partner - stay safe!! David
-
There is no apology necessary Wayne. You take care of yourself and thank you again for the services you are performing during these very trying times. BE SAFE !! David aka KayDeeMac
-
Deep and complex characters you do indeed produce! And, of course, the erotica ain't too bad either. Another great chapter Wayne. Thanks.
-
Yes another great chapter. And yes - PLEASE BE SAFE and thank you for all you do!!
-
I totally agree! However, I have met a few people who thought otherwise, primarily about themselves!
-
Amazing Wayne! You are truly a gifted writer. Bringing social issues into your stories that spark lively conversations that promotes understanding and acceptance is absolutely admirable. Thank you!!!
-
Yes - it is always interesting to see how, when ones own mortality comes into the picture, it changes their outlooks and perspectives!! Great chapter Wayne, Thank you!!
-
I have to agree with Danners - "You done good" ! I believe it brought both of their emotions front and center and cemented their commitment to each other. Thanks Wayne!
-
Yes - as always - another great chapter. Only two more !!!! Going into withdrawals already!
-
DRAMA to the max!! Danny wants the best of both world's but Jake is not into sharing! Complicated but, I really feel that Danny is right about Jake's fear of abandonment! And yes Lydia is a BITCH!!! Ryan is the wildcard ! I am thoroughly enjoying the story and it is a great diversion. Thank you!!
-
Mr. Reilly comes through once again with some excellent advise. Sounds like he been there - and done that!!!
-
Well it is obvious to me the boys do truly love each other - it just can't be in the physical sense! But teenagers, with raging hormones, often allow that little head to overrule the bigger head!! I do believe their friendship is strong enough to survivor this identity crisis. At least I hope so!! Thanks for providing us with a great diversion during these crazy crazy times. Be Safe!!
-
I love this story on so many levels. I was in band all through high school so I can relate!! Thank you!!!
-
Interesting start - not a whole lot of character development yet, but, some interesting tid-bits!! Hey - I had a VERY FAST (454HP) yellow Corvette!! Only got to experience it for about a year before I got drafted! My Dad ended up selling it to a CHIP (California Highway Patrolman).
