  1. Just post the link to your gallery image in the Story Note. It works. @Talo Segura Paste the link directly into the text editor. Do not use the insert image from link button. (That only works if you have the direct image location)
  2. Welcome to week 2 of the Fall 2014 - Scars Anthology flashback! Please be kind and read and review!

    Read It!

We are looking into add a check mark graphic with description of "Read it" We are aware of this desire and there are plans to give members a read history list that shows you the last chapter you were reading. Being able to pick location doesn't really work without a lot of development time currently.

    Greedfall

Yeah... I'm a contrarian that often goes a different way just because my peers went one way. But I prefer single player games over being canon fodder in multiplayer. lol
  5. This games was originally released 10 years ago. It's considered the unofficial 3rd movie, written by the same two that wrote the first two movies. It was fun 10 years ago and is incredibly nostalgic for those of us that were kids when the movie came out. I picked it up again. Perhaps it'll help erase seeing the trailer for that 2016 toilet leavings reboot movie.
  6. October is upon us and it is time for another month of Flashbacks! But first, authors, please make sure you are working on the anthologies due November 15th! (see above) Without further ado, here is October 2019's Anthology Flashback. We are going back to Fall of 2014 with the them of Scars!

  8. So I picked this up near launch. It is from a double A studio, instead of your usual mega studio. It's very much like a budget version of Dragon Age or Mass Effect. You know, the last few good games from Bioware before the EA pestilence set in. It's story driven and it's good. It's good enough so far, in fact, that the minor technical issues I've experienced can be ignored. I'm having fun with it and want to see where it goes. Some of the foreshadowing in the early game isn't subtle.
  9. So far so good. This looks great... It sounds right. Now I just hope EA didn't totally trash it somehow.
  10. I like all four of those themes. I have some ideas for them
  11. We are bringing back our Anthology Thursday features! Each month, we'll do a flashback to a previous Anthology. During that month, we'll feature each of the stories from that theme. This month, we're jumping back to the Fall of 2013 and the theme of Pandora's Box. The final set of 5 stories:
  12. So I played the original version of this on Gameboy back when it released. The music brings so much back. I've not played a lot so far, but what I have played has been fun and cute.

  18. Each year, Gay Authors sets a number of themes for stories. As of 2021 there are two anthologies per year. Starting 2022 we will move to a single annual anthology. An author writes a story that is related to that theme and the story is posted as group with the anthology. These are GA sponsored events. More extensive details can be found here in the Anthology Forum:

  20. This does look good.... I think after Outer Worlds, this is the game I'm most looking forward to right now...
  21. And because I don't have enough distractions in my life, I picked up the new game from Remedy Entertainment, Control. This seems to be an evolution of the pretty good Quantum Break. https://controlgame.com/ I spent about an hour playing and the game looks cools with some interesting visuals. It also has enough of a hook in the story that I'm interested in playing more. Has anyone else tried it out yet?
  22. So, I have been addicted to the Mario Bros since the original Nintendo came out when I was a kid. I just picked up the New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe for Switch over the weekend and I was playing that. https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/new-super-mario-bros-u-deluxe-switch/ I think this is the first Mario Bros in quite some time that gave me the feeling of the original. Or probably more truthfully, like my favorite on Nintendo, Super Mario 3. The graphics are really pretty too. They did some nice lighting effects. It makes me look forward to Luigi's Mansion. Anyone else enjoy Mario Bros?
  23. Yes it should. We'll know about both Sony and MS at that point. I'm a MS first guy, since I went all digital this generation. I have a huge library and with MS giving away 4 free games a month for years now.... my library is insane and they've already said it'll play in the next gen with backwards compatibility. My only big sadness is that my favorite game type by far is single player and Sony almost owns that. Though, alarmingly, they say they are moving away from that a bit in the next gen. Though with all the studios MS has bought, Obsidian especially, there should be some great single players coming for Xbox. You know, if I could just use my xbox controller on Playstation 4, I'd actually use the Playstation more. Phenomenal games... world's worst controller with a ton of gibberish for help. r1 r2 prompts... How the hell am I supposed to know what that is without stopping to look. RT and RB are obvious.
  24. I like digital foundry when they dig into details.
  25. I grabbed an NES Mini (And a super nes mini) when I had the chance for just that reason. Though with Nintendo online, there are starting to release the old nintendo games on subscription on switch.
