If anyone... and I mean pretty much anyone offered to have sex with me, I would have jumped at the chance. At that age, you're hard pretty much all the time and even a knot in the fencepost looks good... Is it any surpise then that boys are having sex? I don't believe in all this claptrap that a 13-yr old is too young to make a decision. Kids are growing up far faster than they used to and have access to an unbelievable amount information. This is not to say that there isn't sexual abuse. There is. No means No whatever the age. But what about when they say yes and the government is saying "they aren't old enough to say yes". If you look at that age worldwide, it ranges anywhere from 12 to death penalty for gay sex. or 12 up for het stuff. I can see where it is easy for a man to abuse a boy, as very little cooperation would be needed... but for a female to force a boy into sex... a certain amount of interest and cooperation is needed for that. In a society where we want to charge a 12 yr old as an adult for murder and then turn around and charge a man with raping the the same boy because he's a child... (The King Brothers, Florida) It makes no sense. We're hellbent on saying the 12 yr old is an adult for everything and anything, except the ability to consent to sex. Sorry for my rambling... what do you folks think?

I've disabled the auto-shutoff on the error he keeps throwing. Hopefully, that'll stop the on and off issue.

Yes... I think his webserver is broke. It keeps throwing errors in the early AM.

It is also possible that they are getting flagged that way if they are returned from de-activation. (The link checker automatically shuts off bad links.)

Something you don't see, that I do, is who some of the guests are. Some of the guests on the board are MSN Bot, Inktomi (Yahoo), and GoogleBot. These are the automatic web "spiders" that add our topics to the search indexes. The fact is, at least one is always on the site. That's a sign that we're busy and have a lot of incoming links.

That's because this post is about 4 months old and the attchments got axed in one of the board updates by accident.

I think the situation is thus that people watch witch hunts like this Michael Jackson thing and others and they want to avoid the possibility. I still say that as long as you make no attempt to meet someone you think is underage and you avoid getting into graphic discussions of sex, you're fine. If they are asking about sex, direct them to a few informative sites for youngsters. And as Aleric says, kids are people too.

Please don't link to homophobic asshole sites. They tend to do stupid things like Denial of Service attacks when they notice a large number of links coming from a site they don't like. And if they are anti-gay, we'd surely qualify.

Singer Two Teenagers in Twenty: Writings by Gay & Lesbian Youth by Ann Heron If you go to amazon, they'll also recommend similar books to those. I've only read Am I Blue? The Title story is written by Bruce Coville of "Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher" and "Monster's Ring" kids book fame. It is a good story.

As someone that owns all the Hardy Boys books... I especially enjoyed one of the books where Mom Hardy tells the boys not forget their rubbers when they leave. (I think it meant shoes ) We might be able to set something up here if we can find the writers. I've certainly found some published books for gay youth.

Our Ranking on Google has gotten really good. If you search for "Gay Authors" we are number 1. (Not as obvious as you'd think. We've been number 2 for quite awhile). We are also about 4 down on the "Gay Stories" search. So... pretty cool!

I had to mess around with some settings on the hosting account. Unfortunately, I was at work. So, I'm not sure how long today we hit that funky bandwidth thing. I have fixed it. We shouldn't have that issue again for awhile. Myr
