You made me curious AC, and I just did a quick Google search. I found this on Uranian Poetry on the Wiki: So, it could be possible that Alfred, Lord Tennyson had a hand in them. EDIT: Sauce - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uranian_poetry

Yeah, they can be used to the point of absurdity. There was one story I read, that had a trigger warning about consensual heterosexual sex, in a straight romance novel. It made me wonder why it was there, until I was told that 'some' readers consider any form of heterosexual sex 'non-consensual'. It made my head hurt.

There are a lot of characters on GA I wouldn't mind spending some time with. Garrett Atrix, Devin and Davin, from @dkstories's Dreams of Humanity and Dreams of a Father stories, come to mind first. My guys from the Tampa Chronicles Series would be cool to meet. @Stellar's Aspect of Dawn series has some good characters that I wouldn't mind talking to for a bit. @Myr's Psionic Corp world is loaded with characters that seem to be good folk to meet.

Now, I see way @Carlos Hazday said, I would love this month's AAA, when I mentioned a new story idea about an Author who falls in love with one of their characters. Excellent responses and great blog.

I think we see a big difference between Jenifer and Jill. I for one, hope that Alex and Harry get back together soon. Jill is coming off as the loving mother, and Harry really needs to learn to trust her. Jenifer, however, I was half expecting her to kick Alex out. Excellent chapter overall.

Open Those Ears-- Walk on the Lighter Side of Dialogue

Yeah, that's another pet peeve. The 15-year-old that acts more like a 45-year-old Leather Daddy, with the abnormal pornstar length schlong. LOL True. But fantasy is one thing, and gross incompetence, especially if you are going to publish on Amazon, is another.

Add-on to my last post: I've even read a book from Amazon on Kindle Unlimited that had sizes and coatings. So, it's not just internet story posters.
-
Yes. There's an abundance of stories on Nifty, Literotica, Reddit, and other places that has this sort of stuff. Even here on GA you can find the occasional dick size, and feeling of insides being coated.

Two of my biggest pet peeves is when a Writer of Gay Fiction gets certain basic biology things wrong. For instance, if a guy is about to take a load anally from a bareback session, he is not going to feel it. Unless his partner is running a fever over 20*f higher than his current temperature, there is no way someone can feel sperm coat his insides. Even then it's unlikely because of how the nervous system works in that part of the body. A guy can feel a cock throb, pulse, on his anus, but sperm inside, nope. STOP WRITING THAT CRAP! Second, the average human penis in five and a quarter inches in length. Anything larger than seven inches is not considered normal. So, when I see something, "It wasn't that big, only eight inches long" it makes me want to rage and fling my laptop across the room. Obviously the writer knows nothing about basic human biology. Even a Google search can help in this, by giving a writer the basic understanding they need in order to write accurately. So what say you, fellow writers? Does your rage burn with the fire of a thousand suns, when you see this crap in a story?

The only thing I wish Hero Forge did was anatomically correct miniatures. Got a character that runs around naked, except for certain gear strapped on, and I can do everything but parts hanging out. LOL

Yup, that's how The Hybrid Twins series is being written. First book, Freedom Station, the main character is Warrant Officer Russell Andrews, United States Space Force, for 10 of the 11 chapters, and the single chapter is from the prospective of Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp Cadet Trenton Christensen, his half-brother. So far in the second book, Operation Homecoming, Colonel Trenton Christensen, Terran Republic Space Force, has been the eyes that the reader will see through, but also, Colonel Russell Andrews TRSF, Captain Tyler Crawford M.D., TRSF, and Red Deer, Little Person of the Chinook, have a chapter each whose eyes will be what the readers sees through. So, head hopping between chapters. The third book, Victory At Any Cost, will most likely revert back to the first type. Yes it does. That's typical third-person PoV. The Writer is essentially the narrator.

Excellent chapter, both of the teens working through their emotions and affection for each other is perfect in my opinion. Talk with mom is going to be huge in what direction Alex and Harry will be going.

I'm a lot more comfortable with third-person point of view, and have been doing a writing project exclusively in first-person. It's hard, it's restrictive, and it doesn't let me do what I want to do as a writer. The project was originally situated for two stories, and now it's going to be three with the first one already completed. However, none will be posted until all three stories are done. In the first story, I got six chapters in, and realized that I needed to tell one part, which was critical to the story, from the perspective that wasn't the Narrator character. So, for chapter 7 of that first story, I switched to the other character. He was away from the main narrator, and showing events that needed to be told. Then from chapter 8 to 11, it went back to the main narrator. I thought and felt that worked. So, in the second story I decided to do things a little different. Each chapter now has a different narrator character. I look at my plot, outline, and who has the "most screen time" for that chapter and that's the character that gets tapped to be the Narrator. Out of the seven chapters for the second story, there's been four narrator characters. One has had four chapters, and the other three have each had one chapter as the focus. In most cases it's been like what happened in the first story. The chapter called for someone else to be front and centered, and therefore I did it that way. Do I regret writing like this? No, because it's working, and I make it clear at the start of the chapter who is the narrator. Is it a challenge that I'm finding interesting? Absolutely, and there are days I'm wondering if I'm cut out to be a first person writer.

Just spoke with Mom, and no new cases overnight. However, how her friend, Lily, caught it is now 100% known. Seems before she had to go to the hospital for her essential procedure, don't know what it was, a Contract-Agency Nurse took care of her and was only at Mom's facility for a day or two. That contractor went on to two other facilities, and he has since tested positive for Covid-19, and patients he was in contact with have tested positive in the other facilities as well. So, it was a nurse that spread it. They have the National Guard going in to all three places to do cleaning and such, which is what FL has been doing since this started. Must admit, I'm still worried about it, but I'm doing my best to stay in a good mood. On the subject of food: One of the cousins got Starbucks the other day, and got me a slice of their Pumpkin Bread. I'm now trying to find a recipe for it, because that was damn good! Been wanting to do some baking something fierce the past few days.

I've always felt it that going camping during a full moon was the best. Spent many a night staring up at the great orb, and dreaming about what the future may hold. Thank you, tim, for reminding me of those times.

Thank you, everyone. From what Mom said, when she called about this, the person was put into isolation immediately upon learning they were positive. They are in a different wing of the building, and my Mom has been taking care to follow all safety precautions. Just hearing about what's happened at other places and scared shitless about it all. @Fae Briona I'll be praying for your dad, as well for your parents @MichaelS36.

One of the residents at my Mom's facility has tested positive for the virus. They went for a procedure at the hospital, came back, and tested positive. So, if you're the praying type, I would welcome it.

I hope you both feel better. Lots of virtual hugs.

Congrats to her!

Excellent chapter. I like the slow build approach you're doing, it makes it more believable. Harry's lack of self-confidence is something that is relatable.

It does keep to the more than 50% rule, and sex isn't in each chapter. But, I'm not shying away from the descriptions of the sex scenes or the number of participants in the scenes.
