  1. Thanks, miss molly. We wave at each other from across the lobby, so we have that at least. Sleep well.
  2. With the Covid-19 restrictions in play, my every other day visit with Mom, has turned into random phone calls, and a once a week drop off of stuff for her. Can't enter the building, so I have to wait out front for a staff member to pic up her stuff, and then they have to wipe it down before she gets it. I'm glad the facility she lives in is taking all these precautions. But it has disrupted our routine, and she's non-to-happy about that. She didn't even get to see me on my BDay.
  3. Thank you, @Myr and team, for all your hard work!
  4. The voices in my head are telling me to start a new project. A story about how an Author falls in love with one of his story Characters.
  5. Hope everyone is doing well.

    Chapter 3 Raincheck

Poor Steven and his boyfriend! Nice opener to a long, multi-episodic story. Hint, hint...
  7. This, I agree with, and any further discussion I would have on them, would surely send this to The Pit. However, they are required on GA for certain story elements, and I've had to use them on a few of mine because of that requirement. I have a story now, that when I go to post it, would required several Trigger Warnings and Story Tags the Admin require. So, sometimes, this is beyond the Author's control. I love that you've expressed this, and that most Readers would have this attitude. However, there are some Readers out there, who are the opposite, and demand that you post the next chapter, or story in a series, because they feel entitled to it. Sometimes an attitude like yours, and a good compliment is enough to get an Author to post that next chapter, or story, because they've finally had time to write it, or felt inspired enough to write it and post it. While the latter, will make Authors run for the hills.
  8. From what I've seen, and to add another category or two to the discussion, Were-creatures, Shapeshifters, Changelings, and the like are found in Horror and Paranormal. I think the overall tone of the story would dictate what flavor of genre the story is. But as previously mentioned, Shifters are so overdone it is an instant, "nope, I'm not reading" in most cases when I come across them. It would have to be a seriously class-A story for me to read one that contains Were-anything in it. So, either a fresh take on them, i.e. people don't really change but channel the essence of the critter, or the story comes highly recommended by someone I trust, for me to look at them. For example, @Backwoods Boy has suggested I read @WolfM's stories, and I've been beta reading one of BB's stories that uses shapeshifting elements in it, that are really fresh.
  9. 831 added to my growing list.
  10. Cool, thanks for the explanation, Myr.
  11. Damn... I would be tempted to call child protective services. That just ain't right.
  12. Getting ready to start posting a new story, and decided to refresh myself on what's on the add-story system. I noticed that there is a new Content Rating of "Mature - Member Only." Is there any special criteria to use Member Only over the normal mature feature?
  13. Noam Chomsky: "If you're in favor of freedom of speech, that means you're in favor of freedom of speech precisely for views you despise. Otherwise you're not in favor of freedom of speech."

    Never Be

    Hugs, tim. You got this!
  15. I do think it looks visually appealing, the knot work, etc. Current story I'm writing, I'm planing on using it, and just need more information. Want to do it justice and not half-ass. Thanks, Mike. Just looking for more info on it.
  16. Yes, that's it. Me and my damn typos.
  17. tim once told me to write bravely, and Mike once told me to write something outside my comfort zone. Well, I'm about to step so far outside my comfort zone, it could be nightmare inducing. So, anyone know something about Kimbaku-bi? EDIT: So my knowledge of it is limited to Wikipedia.
  18. Thanks for sharing that meme with me via email. It's funny as hell, and the guy is smoking hot.
  19. Thanks, tim. Yuppers, with the nonstop classes, plus the testing on real world experience for credit hours, I'm halfway to completion.
  20. Hey everyone. Been doing school work, during these #TogetherApart days. Started my lastest class this past Tuesday, The Science of Management. Counts as an Elective for my Accounting degree, but is a requirement for my AA. Also, it's the last class for my AA, so in four more weeks, I'll have my first college degree. Papers due every week, and this week I've got to do one on Jeff Bezos and Amazon. So, that's going to keep me busy. Stay safe, stay healthy.
  21. Pants or no pants during these #TogetherApart times? No pants...

    Bad Timing

They had one in Utah, too this morning. Stay safe, Wayne.
  23. Just a FL boy's way of saying all the Pollen in the air. Something my friends and I've said since 8th grade. Mainly Oak, Popular, and Pine around me.
  24. I had appointments next week, I'm canceling. My asthma is already acting up to all the Tree Sex going on, so I don't need to be out there in the middle of it. FL has activated its Price-Gouging Hotline, the same one they use during hurricanes. FL will prosecute your ass, they don't play. Even down in the "rich" part of South Tampa, any sort of TP, Paper Towels, Wipes, etc. are gone. Other staple items are too, but one thing I've noticed from the four places we went to. No one is buying the Vegan Food.
