  1. Today has been a George Carlin kinda day. Back when real comedians were around. Hello, everyone. Enjoy the night.
  2. Valentine's Day? What's that? Must be something for non-single people. 😝 In all seriousness, nothing special this year. Was too busy to realize it was.
  3. Cool. I must have missed the announcement, or simply forgot that part. Thanks!
  4. I noticed today, that I've not received the Sunday Newsletter in some weeks. I have received a couple of emails directed at Authors for special messages. Do I need to reapply for the Newsletter?
  5. Finally back on track after that little stint. Now to do what I said I was going to do back on Tuesday. Peace, Love, Recycle.

    Hello, Goodbye

Excellent work, tim. Out of all the chapters in Changes, Again, this one and two others, are up there as one of my favorites. The emotion that you put on display here is brilliant. I keep saying it, but it's true, I love how you humanized Lous, Donny, and Maxy. You bring so much depth into them.
  7. Thank you, Mac. What tim said. I learned the hard way as well, so my latest is a finish it all before edit and posting.
  8. There are plenty of beautiful things, that don't need wings.
  9. "Lots of different places." - Connor Macleod, of the clan Macleod - Highlander (1986). Some plots are old table-top Role-playing game campaigns. Some are inspired by things I've read. Some just hit me while I'm in the bathroom in the shower. Some are the voices in my head telling me what to write. Not the ones that tell me to go dominate the world, but that's a different story. Sometimes a song, tv show, movie, might spark an idea. Reading over my old work, I might get inspired to do something. Reading a "Hetero" romance book, and saying, "Hmm this is good, let's do it full of gay sex." So, yeah, "Lots of different places."
  10. Yes, tim is very nice, even when he's chewing me out, about something I wrote that doesn't work, and he does it in private. I think that's the key to this thread. I like the idea of a set of guidelines on how to write a review. I admit, that a lot of mine are substandard, and not really enticing for others to read. I feel that comes from two things: 1. Not sure what to write, and I rush it before I forget to do one. 2. I liked the story enough that it made me want to write a review, it was a really good story, but nothing overly "slapped me across the face, making me yell WOWZERS!" Having a suggested format, outline, and examples of "good" reviews, and comments, in general, would go along way. On the subject of criticism... Yeah, keep that stuff in private. If you find an error, politely send the author a PM saying, "Hey I found this." I know I would be glad to have a PM like that because it tells me that someone read my story, and found it good enough to warrant a PM to help me out.
  11. Damn Onions. Hugs, Bro. Hugs. You are not a slug.
  12. Hello everyone... I'm sorry if I made people worry. A couple of hours after I posted this, I went to the ER with a severe asthma attack. Even though I had just used my nebulizer at home, they immediately gave me a double dose and an hour later another one. I had a BP of 120 for about 30 mins after the third treatment. They kept me for observation and found out I was dehydrated along with asthma. So an overnight in the Hospital turned into three days and this morning. Nebulizer pipe in my mouth, and an IV in my arm... Good times. I'm alive, I'm here, but I'll be in and out on GA, cause I need to catch up on an already hard class for our final week. Next week starts class #6 - English 200 - Rhetoric and Research. Five weeks for a term paper that is written as an informed argument.
  13. Morning. Last week of this class. Gotta finish a beta read this morning, and then diving in.
  14. I agree with your estimation, Bro.

Another great chapter, tim. The interaction between Don, Louis, and Max is great. Very realistic with how you are portraying Max. Love the humanization you do with each of them.
  16. I will admit that the doc and I are talking about switching me to Medical MJ, but we have a good combination of meds right now. Though it's three pills. If it was my car, I would do the same. I've taken the keys away from a friend once that was so fraking high, he couldn't remember his name. Looking forward to them, if you can. Question, if I may and forgive the cold climate ignorance, could a gas generator work for you? Or even one of the solar collectors?
  17. Good to know. I forget the name, but I watched a movie the other day whose music was annoying af. Oh, had some time to kill earlier. If you haven't seen it yet, I'd recommend Ready Player One, for a good SciFi flick. It's also a good representation of the LitRPG genre of books. I've watched the movie like five times now. LOL. Also, I think I've said this before.
  18. The worse is when you're in a car with someone that's smoking it. You come out smelling like that shyte.
  19. I've seen ads for the show, any good? Stay warm and safe, my friend. Though, a positive would be the stunning scenery of the snowcapped mountains.
  20. With all the stress, school, migraines, and panic attacks I've had this past week... I've been in a bit of a writing funk. I went through and read over the chapters I have for TC4, Freedom Station, Timeless Online: a LitRPG story, and a few others I've not mentioned before. There were several times, I had to ask myself, "what the frak was I thinking?" Meditation, walks around the block, warm beverages, have all been godsends. Thank you all for supporting me, when I pop in here randomly. Especially after I said I wouldn't be around.
  21. I read this poem, this morning, but had to fly thru. Mike, my friend, you have some talent. This had some great visuals, spoke from the heart, and was beautifully written. I can see the love you wrote into this piece.
  22. I've been in a little bit of a writing funk the past week... 733 is calling my name.
  23. I blame Mike and tim... we had Chinese tonight... I'm stuff on steamed dumplings and eggrolls.
