No. I actually find that Gay Authors' content restrictions clement to other sites, and that they foster a sense of comradery among the authors that choose to be here. Only a petulant child would find the policies constrictive to the point of being prudish. Judging from the fact that you've only made one post in the four years you've been a member, and have never interacted publicly with any of the authors here with comments or reactions---yes, anyone can look up anyone else's activity---I must assume that this is a trolling post. Because had you interacted with the very people you insult, you would see how wrong you are. Now I shall do the best advice there is with dealing with internet trolls... I won't feed them.

I think you'll come up with something. Warm yourself up with a bowl of Chicken Soup, and a hot beverage of your choice. Relax, Chill, and just be in zen. Thanks, everyone. Woke up feeling bleh this morning, and starting to feel better now. Took my own normal advice, and got some Chicken Soup into me. I've been there too. Just remember to breathe and know, "This too, shall pass." I hope you have a better today, and that hike tomorrow sounds wonderful. Snap some pics while you're out.

Not headed to bed quite yet. Still got many miles to go, before I can see my bed tonight. So I will see you tomorrow, and it's not a candle, lantern or a light-source... Have a Goodnight Kitten...

Very true, BB. I'm an Aries if you follow astrology, and bucking the rules is something in our nature.

Not an excuse, but I have another priority that I need to focus on for the time being. Getting my degree. Then finishing stories for here on GA, in the time I've allocated for writing. Need to finish the Tampa Chronicles series. Book Four is the last one. Period. Then I'm reworking my EVE Online FanFic, and my projects of Timeless Online a LitRPG, Freedom Station - SciFi and my attempt at doing a first-person story exclusively, and One Little Spark... my Spring Anthology story. After that... then I'll seriously think about it.

Also, Dreamspinner is located here in Florida, so I gotta give my State some loyalty by going with a "local" company.

Thank you, Bro. On the subject of going the publishing route. As I mentioned before, and my ego is going to show here, I am an excellent storyteller but a shitty writer. And the reason is, I don't follow the conventional rules for publishing houses. I do infodumps. I do Prologues. I follow a "Tell, Don't Show" model at times because frankly showing bogs down the story. I exclusively write in third-person omnisentient view, with head-hopping, and mix it with Deep PoV. I honestly admit I'm a failure at a first-person limited view. The only reason why I'm even entertaining the idea of trying to publish something is that my Mom challenged me to do it. She wanted to but never got around to it. Had to take care of me, dad, and the bitch, and went to nursing school for her RN license and degree. She did it a while ago, and then again after the Fall Anthology came out. I've been looking at Dreamspinner Press and their Dramspun Beyond line.

Oh, a 7th idea... 7. More transparency on getting out of the Moderation Queue, now that the Community Reputation is separated from Author Reputation. Last I looked, the Help Menu Topics hadn't been updated to reflect the duel reputations for Authors.
-
Some things I think would be nice: 1. More transparency on Author Promotions from Normal, to Promising, to Signature. We've seen the list of the basic criteria in the help menu topics, but what else is the promotion team looking for? 2. I wasn't able to participate in the Summer 2018 novel contest due to life reasons, but I thought it was a good idea for Authors to strive for. I think a Winter 2019 Novel Contest would be a good foundation and gives a year for Authors to work towards the goal. 3. Have a new GA Blog that features a different Author each month, who writes it, and talks about their approach to writing. However, it may be. This would show the diversity of talent we have, and why certain Authors do the things they do. 4. As number 3, but from an Editor's perspective. Also, one for Readers and what they look for in stories. 3&4: I know there are a billion and one threads on those scattered across the forums, but a blog post, to me, seems to focus attention better. 5. A series on how to get published, for those that desire to go that route. Not talking about self-publishing, which is saturated with low-quality work, but actual agency and publishing house publishing of work. What do the Houses look for, and if you can "thumb your nose at the conventional rules?" 6. I would suggest a special anthology from GA authors, that would be published, but I'm not sure how the compensation would work between GA and the Authors that participated could be handled.

Also, I woke up thinking today was Friday. It wasn't until AFTER we got home from Mom's and Walmart (again), that I realize it was Saturday.

Morning everyone. Mom says "Hi" to my online friends. LOL. She does ask about you guys. Usually, I go from mom's to the fitness center. Not this morning. Too much to do, but I will be there before the end of the day. I'll be in and out.

You already know how I feel, but I have to say it again, my Brother. You have another hit on your hands. Congrats on the great start!

And the origin of my "Could be worse, could be stabbed" saying:
-
*Mumbles, Grumbles, hisses, and spits* *winding down from classwork, by getting in some "Rim and Chill"* *Fires up Skyrim. Crash. Fires up again. Crash.* Meh, could be worse. Could be stabbed. my debugging says it was a mod this time, and while removing said mod. corrupted the system. "Oh, A... disappoint." In good news assessment #2 has been sent it. One more to go.

But, But, But... IT LOOKS GOOD!!!

Back later... Off to do more classwork.
