Thank you very much, Mac, for reading and the comment. I feel that there's a lot more to Eric's story, and he'll eventually get back to where he needs to be.

We're 79 F today. Tomorrow we'll be lucky to reach 59 F, as another cold front moves through. It's supposed to dump a crapload of water on us tonight too.

Thank you very much, Kitt. I appreciate the support.

Thank you very much, JefferyL, for reading and the comment. It was a hard story to write and edit as well. I was challenged to write this story and put it off and off until I felt compelled to write it. This is the product of about three hours of writing and research. I think we all need a little Greg in our lives. I try to surround myself with Gregs and can count on several as close friends.

Thank you very much, Mike, for reading and the comment. I agree, no one should be forced into anything they don't want, nor comfortable with. It is sickening to me as well. If I were to write the next chapter, I'm sure Eric would be learning to trust again, with the advice he got from a friend.

Thanks, BB.

I'm out for the rest of the night. About to go find a six-pack somewhere.

Thank you very much, Butcher56, for reading and for your comment. I'm sorry to hear about your cousin, be there for him for support, and encourage him to seek help if he needs it.

Eric is a shattered man, and this group session is his first step toward healing. Will it help him, or hurt him? Only time knows.

Yes. I had to be a member of the club to post there.

Okay... So I had to join the club in order to post... Anyways, I tried my hand at doing a Tanka again. So, here is my crappy piece: Original: No snow on the ground, winter is never that cold. The sand I walk on warmed by the sun, shifts away dreams of winter wonderlands. I was given some formating advice: No snow on the ground, Winter is never that cold; The sand I walk on Warmed by the sun, shifts away Dreams of winter wonderlands.

I'll try again to post in Live Poets. When I went earlier it didn't even give me the option to. It might be because I'm not a member of the club.

I just did one between reading sections in the textbook. Thanks, Mac. It partly does. I should have written down the syllable count, but forgot to like a dumbass. Thanks, Bro. That helped. Okay... here's my lame-ass attempt at one. No snow on the ground, winter is never that cold. The sand I walk on warmed by the sun, shifts away dreams of winter wonderlands.

Because I can't post it in the Poetry Club... Is there a Tanka Syllable Counter out there somewhere? No promises but I may try my hand at it.
-
These are excellent Tankas, Mike. You paint a beautiful tapestry with these.

January Classic Author Feature: The Falcon Banner by Topher_Lydon
Brayon commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I enjoyed this series a lot, as it's a fantastic work of Science Fiction. In my review of the second book in this series, here on GA, are the links to the remaining three books posted offsite. From what I gathered there was supposed to have been a sixth and final book, but I'm not sure what happened to that one.- 2 comments
