The Pulse project was an emotional topic for many. tim worked hard to pull it all together, to make it a community effort. I see your poem there now among the others, as it should be, part of the community. If there was any confusion about participation and inclusion, I'm sure it was a matter of miscommunication, nothing more.

Good night, molly.

I would like to be there with you, Def! (and not just for the kissing... although I'd like that, too) Good for you to participate in the march. I am far away in geography but close in spirit. Cheers to you, my friend.

Reflection: Commemorating PULSE
MacGreg commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Reflection: Commemorating PULSE
I, too, have tears. I had to skim over most, but I will be back. A big Thank You to all who participated. May we always remember.- 26 comments

I should probably know what AFK means, but I don't. At any rate, I hope you're OK, A.

I am remiss in writing a review for this gut-wrenching tale, which is one of my favorites by @Mikiesboy. Here, tim provides a quick dose of reality told in a blunt and powerful way that pushes the reader to an uncomfortable but important place. The interactions between Lev and Charlie and Lev and Jon clearly illustrate the stark difference between physical abuse and physical domination, where one is dangerous and the other is safe. There is zero pablum in this piece - everything is raw and upfront, without fanfare. tim is gifted at 'showing' not 'telling'. More importantly, this story hints at hope, which makes it very strong. Levko is one of the first stories by tim that I read on this site, and it endeared him to me as a skilled author.

A great review of a gut-wrenching tale. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about Levko, @Cole Matthews. Anyone who hasn't read this short story should immediately do so. Good night, DiC. Hope everyone's OK. Stay safe, molls.

I have to mow my backyard and it's a pain because it's big, but it's by no means manicured, the back 1/3 is weeds that I mow down. Front yard has zero grass and low maintenance xeriscaping.

Sounds like a nice time.

I dropped the ball on this conversation with you, molly. I'm sorry (maybe I'm Canadian..?) The day off was good. I helped build a wheelchair ramp with some other volunteers through a non-profit I sometimes do work with. I also took that nice drive I mentioned to you, plus finished my piece for the Pulse project. Today, it's back to work. Hope your day is better than yesterday!

I hope your day went better after the IT issues.

That it is.

It took me a while, but I got it. Lol

Absolutely, all voices should be heard. I'm glad to hear there was a good turnout, and I look forward to reading.

Yes, thank you @AC Benus!
-
Thank you for putting it together, tim.

I finally completed my contribution to the Pulse remembrance project that @Mikiesboy is putting together. It was not an easy piece to write, but I feel better for having done so.

This was hard on my brain.

I usually do short stay-cations around Colorado because I'm never able to take more than a few days off at a time. However, at the end of August I actually have a whole week off, so I'm deciding on where to go/what to do with that precious time.

I like the new avatar, @Thorn Wilde.

Ah, so Nate's been snared. As they say, there's someone out there for everyone; Nate was going to find his someone eventually. As for the mystery of Tad and Chris... you're keeping us on the edge of curiosity. By the way, you ended this chapter perfectly with the "You'll be back" line - because you know we will.

Geron, I've neglected reading your writing for a while, and I regret that. You are a gifted writer. This is a great start to what will surely be another blockbuster story. Your character development and scene descriptions are fantastic. I am anxious to see how/when/where and to what degree that Kisner kid will get his comeuppance.
