  1. Does it ever get you down when you have meetings with your client and the ex partner? We hear of people fighting over animals, kids, possessions etc, life is too short to worry about the small stuff, animals and possessions can be replaced. There is Nowt as Queer as Folk.

Oh wow that was so intense, but very revealing and I think that it would make a few readers think about their life. 💕

Typical damn fundys, so judgemental and narrow minded in their view on religion, if you don’t bow down to us then look out.

    In The Limelight

I have only been to pride events once in London but missed the parade, I have watched the parade in New York once, we were in an air conditioned shop as it as too hot during the day. Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade is on at nighttime, which is so much better than day time. It’s the 1st Saturday in March, after the parade there is an all night dance party at the Horden Pavilion finishing on Sunday at 8:00am.

I am glad that Eric is drawing again, it will give him some enjoyment in his life. Looks like he might have escaped the clutches of the two evil Jehovah witnesses in the cafe

    Out and About

Fish fingers in custard? never heard of it, I think that you mean tomato sauce or as Americans call it ketchup. Some people use tartare sauce but that’s not custard. Haggis is a traditional Scottish dish, made of sheep’s offal, (heart, lungs, liver) Oatmeal, suet, onion and spices cooked in the sheep’s stomach or sausage casing can be used and served with Neeps and tatties, ( parsnips and mashed potatoes) another working class dish.

    Out and About

Jellied eels are a traditional working class dish from the 19th Century, eaten cold another favourite dish is pie, mash and parsley liquor, the liquor being the water that the eels were stewed in, there are still several pie, mash and eel shops in the East End of London, and some shops here in South East London. Goddards of Greenwich have been in business since 1890, and they are still always busy. Often these dishes were the staple diet of the dock workers and barrow boys of the markets around Petticoat Lane and other parts of London’s East End. https://www.goddardsatgreenwich.co.uk

    Talking it Out

I feel sorry for your friends that have to take that from their mother, if it had been me, I would have just cut off all contact with her, if she cannot accept her own flesh and blood for who I am then I don’t want anything to do with her. I know that it’s easier said than done, but it’s my life and I will live it how I want to. I am the most important person in my life, we need to love ourselves before we can love anyone else, the second most important person in my life is my husband. People need to move on from negative, selfish hateful and toxic people, it doesn’t do you any good to your self esteem, your relationship with others and it will eventually affect your health. Life is to short to appease selfish people, live your life for you. Religion and narrow minded people have a lot to answer for. Read Awaken the Giant Within by Tony Robbins

    Mixed Emotions

Several teachers are trying to introduce LGBT studies in schools in England, the biggest protesters are the Muslim parents, who are hideously judgemental but it’s ok for them to talk about their magic sky friend and call others who don’t follow their religion infidels. It annoys me the way they carry on, there is a mosque in South East London that has a sign that states love all, hatred for none. Very seldom anyone takes notice of this.

At the present moment in America the voters seem to prefer old men over anyone else. It’s definitely the power of the penis and who is the best liar, the same here in the UK we have a complete babbling, incompetent buffoon in charge.

The way they treated Alan Turing after what he did for England and the war was just damn outright appalling, the government should be ashamed of themselves. I can recommend a visit to Bletchley Park in Milton Keynes as it is a fascinating place.

    Just Desserts

Yorkshire puddings used to be cooked in the oven under the meat that was roasting so that they caught the fat dripping off the meat, this was meant to fill you up when food was rationed during WW2, My grandmother said some people used eat bread and dripping (lard or fat) for the same reason. Some people like Yorkshire pudding to mop up the gravy on their plate, personally I prefer spuds for that.

    Just Desserts

A good chapter, I had black pepper ice cream once, it was nice. I do miss the Haagen Dazs shop in Leicester Square, London, they had some nice ice creams. There is a new store called Udder Delicious a lot of the ice cream is hand made, and they also have a vegan range which is quite scrummy.

What an ass Andy’s dad is, why his wife suffers his ignorance, drinking and his attitude is beyond me, she should leave him and take everything she can. Eric’s neighbour reminds me of a woman in a tv show in the late 1970s, called Number 96 it was about the lives of the residents in a block of flats in Paddington, Sydney, Doris was the self appointed concierge of the building and liked to know everything that was going on, her poor hen pecked husband was called Herbert, her favourite saying was Herbert why wasn’t I told? the show was also very risqué it had bed hopping people, you got to see naked women’s breast, a bit of lesbian sex and gay men in bed, with Dudley Butterfield who was a right old movie buff, his line was did you ever see, he rattled off the name of a movie and then started talking about the main stars of the movie. Number 96 gave plenty of teenage boys something to ogle at, and learn a thing or two about sex etc.

    Glad Tidings

Christmas is so commercialised that it’s not funny, children pester their parents to buy them this and that, people spend to much money on presents and food etc, it’s just not a nice time of the year. It’s supposed celebrating the both of Jesus, but he wasn’t born on December 25th, he was born in April. December 25 was the pagan celebration of the Winter Solstice until the church decided that it was the birth of the son of their god.
