  1. I have to say, it was a wonderful story. Your first place is well-earned @kbois!
  2. You're absolutely right. They are rude. I understand if you're interested but the rest of the comment was not polite or warranted.
  3. As we are D/s, tim wears my 'collar' in his case it's a silver chain with solid silver flat ring with forever on it. he has worn it since we got married. How long is that, 12 years? It's only taken off for medical procedures. I don't that's weird at all. For instance many catholics wear the crucifix their whole life. That's not considered weird is it?
  4. Yes, it's rare he makes something I don't like.
  5. Yes, I'm sure it's much the same in Canada. tim and I decided that we'd stop wasting food. It's made us look at what we buy and how we can use what we buy to avoid wasting it. We do pretty well but it does take effort on our part.
  6. We've watched a lot programs about food that is thrown away or plowed under because it doesn't fit what the stores want. One year we bought an absolutely huge cauliflower but it wasn't wanted because it was more yellow than white. It tasted the same. There is so much waste we really don't care if the stuff is fresh. For us it's the the right thing to do. We may get things we don't buy often. I'm looking forward to it.
  7. I'm not sure what he'd say as he really doesn't like fresh water fish. Either do I really. But he has signed us up for Remarkable Rejects. A place that delivers a box of vegetables each week that cannot be sold in a grocery store because they are not pretty enough. Or they are an odd shape, too big or too small. It's cheaper than the grocery store and supposed to be very fresh. Something our grocery stores struggles with. A couple of weeks ago, they had to be told about bags and bags of blue oranges. And no, they were not a new variety. We both love nearly all veg, so this could be fun. The deliver on Thursday and we shop on Friday, so that will work out well.
  8. Have you literally gone fishing? I've not gone fishing for eons. I hope you had a nice day, molly.
  9. Mmm. I agree with tim. Find your land and live your dream. You can do this Wayne, if it's what you want. We should not have to be afraid in the countries we live in. Toronto isn't perfect but it's fairly safe for us. I wish the same for all of us, everywhere. And like others before us, some will pay the ultimate price for that freedom. We cannot give up the fight and I believe that one day all of us who are different will know what it is like to be free to walk down the street unafraid. I have to believe that.
  10. No. Let the pros take care of it. Crazy short women! Wonderful and too dear to me, I'm glad you called for help. We enjoyed hail today!
  11. Great story. It made me smile.

    The Date

Nice to see these two again. A good pairing, I'd say, like wine and cheese. I enjoyed the brother's banter, such a twin thing to do. I like the pointed references to the 'younger' brother. LOL And I too enjoyed the sweet ending and the promise of more to come.
  13. A sweet love story about two men thrown together by chance. It is about family, judgement, and honesty. It is seeing past the outside; to see the only thing about us that lasts, the beauty that is inside. After you read this, you can read more about these two: Rainbow Waffles

  14. I think many struggle with this, molly. You are a person who always does her best but be careful of forgetting you can say no. Don't overextend yourself. And buy yourself a bunch of flowers. They are good for the soul.
  15. I recall your nephew's passing, and your mother's also. We cannot escape pain in this life but we can share and lean on those who love and care for us. you are a very special person in my life and, of course in tim's. Thank you for sharing both the good and bad with us. M xo
  16. Yes, we need more people like her and we - all of us need to stand up with her and others like her who believe in this place. There is a lot of good here, a lot of caring and welcoming people who don't like the wrong things we know happened and the wrong things that are happening today. We need to stand up together and say so. Nice and timely, tim xo

    Reverberations

Thank you for sharing this story for Pride. The Supreme Court should be more diverse.

    Why Pride?

That is wonderful. To have friends to support you in that way. I think we will see this more and more from the younger folks. They are more accepting. They look at each other and see friends, not black friends, gay friends, or Asian friends, just friends. It's a beautiful thing. Keep writing these positive messages, Wayne.

    Chapter 1

Well, that was a lot of fun. You did an excellent job.

    Why Pride?

I like this Wayne. Myles is a good guy. My feelings are we should be who we are. I understand that many don't feel safe holding hands with their same-sex spouse or being 'out' as who they are. It's wrong. But that won't save you from broken bones or a bullet. In Toronto, people still stare or jaws may drop. The odd one may say something. Being a giant helps. It's partly why I don't care what others say. It's partly why I insist we do hold hands, so people can see. The more we do it, if we can, the more 'normal' it will be. Do it if you can, but not at the cost of your safety.
  21. It is completely a cycle, nearly to the same date monthly. But you learn and can see it coming. The good days are wonderful and a chance to regroup and breathe. It is difficult to deal with ... reach out if you need to.
  22. Don't be sad. Many live with this. he sees his doctor, takes his meds and when those are not enough, quiet, rest and time will see it pass.
  23. I am grateful for the days you promise me that you won't. Thank you for sharing this place where you sometimes have no choice but to live.
  24. tim mentioned it to me. That's excellent news. you will be brilliant.

    Chapter 1

I'm not a big lover of most fiction. I'm here mostly in support of my husband who posts his work here. he suggested I'd like this one. he was right. A very nice story. Believable and honest. I enjoyed it.
