  1. You needn't have removed the list Fae.
  2. Hug completed! Thanks Jeffrey..
  3. You're a wonderful part of that, Wolf. Good to see you.
  4. Writing for this made me relive things I'd rather try and forget. But, it's funny I remember a lot of their names. I worked traffic for a number of years and saw my share of horrific accidents. It's us that looks through their pockets, us who track down next of kin, and us who visit the families and tell them their son, daughter, husband or wife is not coming back. I have been spit on and slapped and I carried many tears. It is hard to remember, hard to read about the sadness but they deserve to be remembered. These are beautiful pieces, written by wonderful authors .. read them, let the 49 live on.
  5. Wonderful thank you for sharing, Def.
  6. Difficult to read, but beautiful as well. Thank you for putting this together. Thanks to all of you who joined in.. you made this very special.
  7. tim, congratulations. I am beyond proud of you, my boy. I have the privilege of watching you work, seeing your process; you are a thoughtful and dedicated writer and poet. Hmm, poet and writer? you have earned this, very well deserved.
  8. The love is for number 1... not 2 .. hope you are okay, A.
  9. An excellent review of a very good story. This is very close to how tim lived for a long time. It is sad and touching and full of hope.
  10. They all have lawn disease. To borrow tim's word...insane. There are a few people who have tiny front yard that are full of only plants and flowers … lovely things. A much better idea than grass, IMO.
  11. I would not have thought anything else.
  12. Those are wonderful... thanks for posting that, Reader.
  13. tim seems to need to be bothered somewhat... he is a bit down .. I will go and keep him company in the kitchen.
  14. I often mow my parents lawn when they are away. Dad is a 'lawn man'. If they will be away longer than two weeks, he leaves pages of lawn care instructions (which I ignore for the most part). At least he doesn't leave a ruler and pair of scissors. Perhaps, I'll try and convince them of your solution for the front lawn at least, Mac. However, I am sure that will only cause me to be removed from their will. LOL.
  15. It never fails to surprise by just how horrible we can be to our families. How very, very sad.
  16. Oh, this is so good. LOL … you need some cider-fuel so you can write some more.

    Death's Door

It's easier to forget that we are not immortal. I try to. I try to just live each day as it comes. Good poem, tim. And I hope I tell you often enough what you mean to me. xo

    surrounded

This is very sad, too real and a great expression of how depression makes you feel. I hope you are all right.
  25. This was a great read. As AC says, twists abound, so many I was dizzy. A wonderful 'do not miss' story.
