  1. To be honest, I joined to watch over my husband. But I've met some wonderful people, read some wonderful work and even written my own blog. GA and its denizens grow on you. I'd like to see some 'regular' members come on here and say something. Be a more active part of the community .. and for those who just read and never join...well you don't know what you're missing.
  2. It's hard when you're used to being strong and one day wake up and find you are not … at least not today. I know. But it's the time to take stock. It's time to be as kind to yourself as you are to others. It's time to be allow others to take care of you. Allow yourself breathing space, lower your expectations of your personal self for a few days. Do something kind and good for yourself. I believe tim suggested a camel ride? much love and respect, mollypop
  3. Set yourself free. As Mac said, why be anyone else. Be proud of the person you are.
  4. Yeah, well, he looks after me. he's a good cook.
  5. Oh … my blood sugar! Sounds like a good party.

    Elegy

He actually hasn't explained ... but an elegy is a poem of nature and also remembrance. And I see AC has explained in his comments.

    Elegy

It may not be perfect, boy, but she would love it anyway. It's beautiful. xo
  8. We wouldn't want to leave a bad taste in anyone's mainstream mouths ….
  9. It was kind. And you end up talking about something that was meaningful to you both. A shared experience. Something that brings us together. I wonder why we are often so afraid to share.
  10. Sounds like a good time! Is there space in the basement?
  11. I would like to see a culture of compassion. People's attitudes tire me. tim has mentioned the horrific construction we are all suffering here but driver's would rather die then let in someone. No one wants to give up their miserable 10 feet, they may get home 5 seconds later, should they let the guy on the side street in. Here is a secret for you … If we each let in one person, we'd all be home faster. tim walks now with a cane, many good souls allow him a seat on the bus, but plenty of able bodied do not. Looking at your iPhone is much more important than letting that older, disabled or suffering person sit. There is more than just the LGBTQ world … all of us are deserving of compassion and a helping hand. Even just smiling and saying good morning can change someone's day.
  12. This is true. However, it is also true that we each are responsible for ourselves and our local community where we may have influence. Too often we complain/worry about the world, without looking to our own local communities. Perhaps we should each look to fix our own backyard first. Then our neighbours will, and then we can help the ones down the street, then in the next town, next province, next country.
  13. Nice job, Carlos... yes I know I have only read here and there. Not a huge fiction person, but I read enough and this is a fitting end. Congrats.
  14. Well, Tacos are important … and frankly I am not sure where my Super Gay cape is. No matter, under my regular clothes I wear my rainbow leotard with the Super Gay badge. I do not however fit into … the damn.... phone booth.. well. LOL... have a good Friday.
