Happy 31st wedding anniversary (in advance? Belatedly? lol)

I’ve never been one for chips in their sandwich or on the side, lol; I’m also not an a la mode person either, lol. Go figure. 🤷‍♀️ It was touching (and especially brave on Evan’s part) that Evan and Drew volunteered to be Big Brothers. Loving the name Jordan Larry Williams. both as a child of the 80’s and the black/white combo….also love that for all his height, he’s not cut out for hoops, lol. This topic was a brave one to tackle, especially as it advocates for the perspective of atheism. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, it (as of today anyway) is still a hallmark of this country. I am the daughter of a devoutly Catholic mother, as a result, I was raised in the Catholic faith…. the parts about Catholic guilt resonated heavily with me, in both a humorous and sobering way….I now consider myself spiritual as opposed to religious, which is an evolution from the “non practicing Catholic” I called myself when I first stepped away from the denomination. Catholicism is a very black and white religion, whereas life is swathed in various shades of gray….to discount those gradations is where the guilt is born and festers. Everyone is walking a different journey in this life, my path is mine, different from my late mother’s, different from anyone else’s reading this story or my comment. I cannot and will not discount anyone’s belief in organized religion because that is where they need to be on their journey….sometimes a path needs to be clearly defined, sometimes the path is broader, each is okay….the problem comes when one tries to propagate their belief as the right or only one. I have respected and loved your writing from the very first story of yours I’ve read…. I applaud your bravery in tackling this topic, @kbois it was done in the engaging, detailed, evocative style I’ve come to expect from you, well done.

Even in their current predicament, the twins are already very appealing. (much of that for me, goes to their Mom when she humanized them before Elijah and Tyler went to search for them) I'm just a stuck in the mud hopeless romantic….of all your great characters, Kage, Lex and David are my favs, Lex and David have their HEAs with their loves, I just really wanted one for Kage with Elijah.

I don’t know if it’s Silas’ age, special gift or a combination but Silas is more seer like than the average lupine ability….the clearing of his age clouded eyes during a “sighting” shows the skill is still very present, no matter how elderly he is.

T’was a nice visit back to Montana….I forgot how much I like Ben and Zev, as well as Kellan and Hunter; besides kicking off the hybrid journey, “Spirit Wolves” was a truly engrossing love story. ❤️ Sebastian truly showed why he deserves to be supreme alpha with his reaction to what he almost did to Caleb after discovering he was poisoned, t’was also reassuring to see that each wolf showed the other respect-both are where they should be. Besides being the cure, Asa was absolutely needed at Caleb’s side for this first trip back, only his mate could have offered him the support he needed. Much rides on this first curing attempt, hopefully Asa is correct that the danger to him is minimal and that everyone follows his rules to the letter. 🤞 There will be much celebration once the twins are cured…. I admit, I’m still adjusting to the fit of Elijah with anyone else but look forward to the end of the tormented existence Ashton and Austin have lived.

Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday was magnificent in this movie….he made me crush on a tubercular dentist that I knew was going to die, lol; damn near stole the movie from Kurt Russell, which is saying something because he was equally magnificent.

TOMBSTONE❣️❣️❣️❣️ I LOVE that movie. It came out around the same time that Kevin Costner had made “Wyatt Earp” & much had been made of that production at the time of it’s release…. I never saw “Wyatt Earp”, saw “Tombstone” instead years later & was enchanted-the casting was superb and the story riveting….it was the first western movie to enrapture me so, matter of fact, it’s still the only western movie to engage me that way, lol.

I’m all for ecology beginning at home but that bug hotel gives me pause, lol. Here’s to hoping that the bugs recognize their reservation is at the hotel only. 🤞 "Wow, that's so cool", Toby had reappeared and was looking at the picnic table, "are we using this at home?" Toby considers Brian and Gordon’s home. ❤️ A sign of the resiliency of children….he’ll be okay. The nude photos (a gift from Gordon’s folks, no less) was different, but certainly not unexpected from Drew and Evie, lol!! "If you have a problem with a teenage boy seeing his Dad and his Dad's boyfriend naked then I think there's a strong streak of homophobia in there too." I didn’t view that as homophobic, just a more conservative view, as I took it that the same perspective would exist with a heterosexual couple, as well. I share Brian’s concern about Deirdre and hope the solicitors finally put the brakes to her erratic behavior, should it come to pass….Toby is not a toy, nor are his and Brian’s feelings ones to be toyed with; enough is enough.

Glad of the cordial relationship between David and Brian, which was extended to Gordon….David seems to view Deirdre and her situation with clear eyes, it’s clear she was accustomed to having Brian at her beck and call to manipulate and abuse emotionally at whim….now she’s with someone as miserable (yet potentially more dangerous) than she is; Toby is much better off with his father….he loves his mother in spite of her emotional immaturity but the older he gets, the less he may tolerate; he already seems more mature than her. “Handbags at dawn." One of those delightful English euphemisms not common here in the States…. I take it handbags in lieu of the guns usually used at a duel? Lol, I love it!! A delightful chapter, that showed being receptive to new ideas can enhance one’s life, as David (and his wife) can attest to, lol.

The threesome with Nick was memorable, I was surprised Rob wanted to be fucked by him….guess if you’re going to say goodbye to something, do so with a bang (pun intended, lol). Nick seems a great guy but I’m glad Rob and Mark’s playing days are behind them. Legally, what are Rob and Mark’s last name? Do they go by one or the other? Do they hyphenate or ship?

As a city girl, born and bred, I do the same as you. The concept of unlocked doors is foreign to me, lol.

I think Prescott stalked Gold Rush Farm (maybe even burgled the new cabin)….stands to reason he was stalking every move they made (he even saw Jubal shave Lucas) the realization was chilling. Ronnie Prescott’s ambush of J & L at Gold Rush Farm was a reminder of how vulnerable people and their property were to dangers of the two and four legged variety…. I wonder what steps were taken to safeguard one’s home, or if it were possible, outside of getting a dog or staying strapped.

The set up was perfect-some type of resolution came of Lucas and Reid’s conversation, enough that Reid left Gold Rush Farm understanding where he stands with Lucas, enough that the innate decency previously hinted at was more transparent in his talking to Jubal. The conversation firmed Lucas’ resolve to tell Jubal about the nature of his relationship with Reid, to tell Jubal “things about me you have a right to know”….and they get shot at (with Lucas gravely wounded) by Ronnie Prescott!! A reminder Sidewinders aren’t extinct. 🐍 Gotta tell ya, Gary, mortal danger to your protagonists are a development I’m not used to, lol. Goes to show that one should always expect the unexpected. Jubal’s breakneck stealth trek to the old cabin for his firepower was worthy of a scene from “Mission Impossible”….I winced at his broken skin, his torn nipple (!) and gouged chin and rejoiced at his getting the drop on that sonofabitch. Speaking of….the older I get, the harder it is to remember why shooting someone in the back is dishonorable-if you’re going to kill something or someone you know is dangerous or a threat, better to do it the first time however you can, than to risk another encounter with that threat, likely more dangerous than ever. one more snake put down = good riddance. *dusting hands off.* Jubal’s cauterization of Lucas’ bleeding may well have saved his life and a reminder of the courage and strength one had to possess in everyday life back then….a good time could turn into a bad one in the blink of an eye and one had to be prepared to do whatever to literally survive. Jubal and Lucas’ first encounter with Ronnie Prescott forged a deep trust in each other within hours of meeting, this encounter no doubt solidified Lucas’ place in Jubal’s heart, as I suspect it will to Lucas’, should he survive (will he, Gary? I’m no longer taking that for granted with you anymore, lol) Dear Lord, continue your support and blessings with this fine man. He’s decent and kind, and has a beautiful soul you should be proud of making. Please, I beg you sustain him in his grief and that he knows people far and wide appreciate him and the impact of his words. See ya next week, Gary. 🍻

What an incredible chapter, one with cliffhangers on so many levels. This chapter absolutely deserves a “love” but all the enthusiasm I wanted to express is tempered by your loss. My deepest condolences on the loss of your Sky, Gary. You’ve got your own personal star in the night sky, now. I’ll come back with another comment.

My son was born looking like his father but as he got older, he looks like me, too. (His dad & I look nothing alike, lol).

Been rereading this story.thought I’d left my impression of this story previously….if Mark and Rob have to have a threesome, Nick (who is a very intriguing person himself) is the ideal someone to do it with, his attraction to them are genuine and he can be trusted to be discreet. His family and career are important to him and he’s fully devoted to both. It’s been a pleasure rereading this….U-N-I are a great band & more importantly great friends, Rob and Mark’s love and devotion to each other is intoxicating, with all the action Rob could get as frontman, he’s not remotely tempted, he only has eyes for Mark. ❤️❤️

I wonder….does Vann look like Caleb now? He clearly didn’t before, hence him being able to not be connected to Caleb but genes are funny….

That’s assuming Vann would find out Caleb is his father, which he currently doesn’t know. When he was Alpha, Caleb kept distant tabs on his son….part of why he was able to willingly leave when he was banished was because he knew Vann was being well taken care of and he didn’t know Caleb was his dad, thus sparing him shame.

Reading about Asa’s tasks and equipment he uses when Caleb met up with him at the ranch he was working reminds me-Your in depth details of the professions of your characters are impressive & appreciated, it fully fleshes them out. It was nice to see Corbin again, him becoming business partners with Caleb and Asa would only enhance his standing with the pack….the fact that Caleb is making plans for the future is an encouraging step forward in his recovery, as well as hopefully a sign his wolf will respect Giles’ position as Alpha. Caleb and Asa’s mating was scorching 🔥💥, each inheriting the other’s abilities was a wonderful bonus…. I’d have to refresh my memory but didn’t that portrait of the ancestral wolves include two white ones? The newly mated wolves’ exploration of their area and each other had a very Garden of Eden like quality to it, their world consisted only of each other….my expectation of drama had me worried the one(s) who shot at Caleb would take aim at two very bright targets but that thankfully did not happen, will it ever be discovered who took that shot? Caleb and Asa’s week of mating will be an idyllic time, one Caleb definitely deserves (Asa probably as well, lol)….this honeymoon phase can only be a boon to Asa’s physical abilities, he’ll need to be as strong as possible to heal the pups; with Caleb inheriting his mates traits, they may get two healers for the price of one…. I can see him wanting to help heal the pups, though Caleb’s skills are untried, will there be some practice before they leave?
