And kudos to Jed & Max’s support of Kyan’s entrepreneurial attempt at financial independence with “bed in a bag”, lol. 👏 -
Part Two. Chapter Eleven.

Reid and Max clearly have a tumultuous history, to say the least. Though I am still very much Max and Sven, I remember “Three Strikes” and what you could pull out of a seemingly hopeless situation so….come what may. 🤷♀️ “Gracie stood over them with her arms crossed. “I done. Reder-rant is out of food. You go now. Bye.” Gracie’s business plan needs some work, lol which I saw Trudy tried to improve….it’s refreshing to see that everyone is determined not to repeat the errors of the past-then again, it’s easier to do certain things as a grandparent as opposed to a parent, as noted by Perry: You can’t say all the things to Gracie that you never said to Dayna. That’s not how this works.” Seeing hurricane Jessica arrive with her category one entrance was a reminder that both Steele sisters are very strong willed, I wonder whom they take after, I don’t get that vibe from either Jed or Trudy. Listening to the present day dreams of the kids reminds me of how fertile and limitless children’s imaginations can be….if one is lucky, real life and adulthood doesn’t dim it. 🤞💝 If Ava’s fear of seeing something sending her Uncle away is any indication, coupled with the kid’s previous sleep strike until they got their Uncle back, Perry doesn’t have anything to worry about regarding the answer to his question….his house will be full much sooner than later.- 163 comments

Improvement is better than nothing, even though you’re still feeling shitty. A woman I worked with had an issue with vertigo, took her months to fully heal & I think it’s always something she’ll be susceptible to. Hope today is a good day….does laughing impact it? If you can, maybe something funny can make you feel better.

Though he was to me, Elijah wasn’t Kage’s “mate”, that may factor into what abilities are transferable during sex.

Kage was/is important, too. ❤️🩹 Do we know how many other shade shifters (light and dark) there are? Was Kage the yin to Asa’s yang & is there an imbalance in their world due to Kage’s physical demise? Is Kage’s spirit (currently residing in a part of Elijah) part of the hybrid pup healing along with Asa?

The effects of Asa’s healing were immediate-Caleb accepted help he previously would have shunned and he was more communicative….his quiescent thoughts (besides providing a long missed relief) led him directly to his mate; Caleb’s wolf keeping watch over Asa while he recovered was touching. “It was raunchy and sexy at the same time.” The best sex should be. 😉 The hot sex and the tender cleansing of each other created bonds that rival what the completion of their mating bond will bring. “Asa took a deep breath and stretched. A thin strip of skin peeked through the narrow gap created by the movement. Caleb’s eyes narrowed, then flicked to Giles, satisfied the Alpha couldn’t see anything from his spot across the table.” 😍 I’m one of those people who thinks a certain degree of possessiveness is hot. 🤷♀️ I’m glad that Asa can be a cure for the hybrids, while it was suspected that physical healing was less dangerous than mental healing, it’s good that it was confirmed. Thing is….is Asa sure the healing will only be physical? The pups endured mental trauma from the exploitation of their hybrid state, would his empathetic nature be able to leave that damage he’d be so close to? Hope your vertigo is improved or gone.

Chapter 33 - Coming home - Part 2
FanLit commented on unilive's story chapter in Chapter 33 - Coming home - Part 2
It’s never too late to write about great characters (if you need inspiration, John Grisham is currently promoting a sequel to “The Firm”, which was written over 30 years ago.) 🙂 You don’t have to follow up but please know if the muses inspire you, there is interest….either way, thank you for sharing this journey. 🙏 🎁 -
Chapter 11 A Gentle Touch
FanLit commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 11 A Gentle Touch
What a pretty comb, looks like ivory, which I guess is a type of bone; like the boot, too. In my earlier comment, I meant to say “rooter to the tooter”….frigging spell check, lol.- 80 comments

Chapter 11 A Gentle Touch
FanLit commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 11 A Gentle Touch
Antler bone comb. 🫎 I like when you touch upon the particulars of the past, in this case, the type of toiletries used before the advent of modern materials and mass production….back then, every single part of an animal was used, from the rooter to the rooter, lol. The description you gave of Lucas’ property was beautiful, I’m still partial to Larkspur but like Jubal said to Lucas: “Yep, and I see why this be the place for you.”- 80 comments

Chapter 11 A Gentle Touch
FanLit commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 11 A Gentle Touch
REEEEAAAALLLLYYYY GARY?!?! LOL!! That is definitely one heck of a cliffhanger….you had to promise a double chapter after that!! “Ah, I must admit the Lord didn’t shirk his work.” What a sweet turn of phrase to call someone good looking. I just knew Reid would happen upon a freshly shaved, fine as fuck looking Lucas, lol; It just added fuel to his fire: “Well, I’ll be. That be a welcome sight—almost forgot what your face looked like. “ Reid ain’t beatin’ ‘round the bush no more, he is forcing the issue of he and Lucas’ “friendship” in an unmistakable way….it puts me in the mind of someone trying to hold on to something they know they’ve already lost; to Reid’s credit, he’s still very cordial to Jubal, even when he clearly regards him as a romantic rival. Will Lucas lose his temper? What will happen between Lucas and Reid? What will Jubal find out about Lucas? Find out next week when we check out “Bearpaw: An Old West Tale” 🐾 🍻 Double chapter ✌️📖- 80 comments

It makes sense that healing such negativity would manifest in a literal physical expulsion….is being an empath a part of being a light shifter? This was not only a gesture of love, it was brave and noble and speaks volumes about the depth of Asa’s character….as he previously did for the two ranch hands, Asa would perform this task for anyone he could. It was touching that of Giles and Santos, it was the Alpha who tended to Asa after the healing; he already considers Caleb a member of his pack, Giles’ cordially respectful relationship with Asa, now coupled with the knowledge that he is Caleb’s mate will make considering Asa a pack member a small leap. I like Giles. With such an obvious effect on Asa, there is no doubt Caleb is better off than he was at the start of the day….how much better remains to be seen.

I’m the child of someone with severe mental health issues, as well as the sibling of someone with mental health issues (something inherited via nature and nurture) It affects your own mental and emotional health as you try to cope with the realization that your “normal” wasn’t normal and you deal with the aftermath of what such an upbringing does in your adult relationships….it makes you look harder at your own children when you recognize the signs of what came before. Reading this story and these comments reminds me of the saying: “You never know what someone is going through. Be kind. Always.”
-
Avery’s struggle is real & was made worse by being traumatized by a sexual predator and diagnosed too late to put coping skills in place that might have helped….his victimization can’t be allowed to victimize others. I thank you for your insight and wish you peace, love and understanding on your journey.

This was an unexpected surprise, (I saw that you wrote these in one of the comments for your anthology submission) This was painfully, beautifully well done. The struggle for mental health and dysfunctional family relationships hits too close for me given the year that I’ve had but it makes me more appreciative of the journey this story takes….Being related to and/or loving someone is no excuse to deal with abusive behavior, even if they are going through crises of their own. I'm thrilled Maverick & Sloane’s marriage survived, as well as the family they have in Shawna, Sammy, Rhea and their girls. I wish Avery the best, his trauma was exacerbated by his mental condition and divergent thinking but I believe hate is a choice and if you chose it, you understand you may choose to live it alone. Thank you for the new word: “opprobrious”….on that note, in chapter four of “Light At The End Of The Tunnel”, thanks for using “elucidate” (not a new word, lol)
-
The path to one’s true self can take many twists and turns….sometimes down the road to self hatred and forgiveness. Though I wonder why Kelsey and Chris’ divorce meant Chris had to lose access to his children, I’m glad he was able to step up and back into their lives now. Wishing Dustin, Oliver, Kieran, Chris and Ross a life full of love and blessings.

Martini’s name story was the cutest!! “Change is what you make of it. There’s no sense in waiting until it’s too late before you do something. After all, a doctor doesn’t wait for the autopsy before he makes a diagnosis or prescribes medication.” It was an odd way of looking at things, but I realized he was right. I agree with Nick, lol. Brock’s business model seems sound and thoroughly researched, his vision of quality photography for the “average consumer” is appealing….why shouldn’t someone get champagne quality work on a beer budget, especially when that beer budget is hard earned and they want to mark the milestones of life? Mum selling a property full of character and promise ‘twas a great start to Brock’s new chapter. What a wonderful turn of events Nick’s leap of faith lead to: “Little did I know every night would include Brock Daniels for the rest of my life.” This was a beautiful gift to your friend, who sounded like she took her own leaps of faith….you were blessed to know her, as I’m sure she felt blessed to know you. Thank you for sharing. ❤️🩹💝

I’m surprised this escaped your notice, lol. Think of it as a nice add on to whomever is left that needs to be punished for other shit, lol. Or- Caleb may get some redemptive strength confronting and reckoning with whomever poisoned him. 🤷♀️

I resent Deirdre’s managing ways on Brian’s behalf, that’s a monster he’s going to need to check in the future….granted he accommodated her because he wanted a smoother path to Toby but fuck her manipulating ass, she’s a bitch, I’m glad Brian recorded her homophobic comments and her desire for Brian to have custody, she seems a bit flaky. While Toby will be better of in my opinion, Deirdre is his mum and he loves her….he misses spending time with her but it hasn’t been just her and him in a while. If Deirdre doesn’t want custody of Toby anymore, it is best for both that he not be there….sad that she’d choose a man over her son but I suspect she’ll harbor some regrets later on. Toby has great bonus grandparents in Grandpa Drew and Evie & they’ve taken to their new roles easily and gladly….Hopefully the more stable environment at his dad’s will ameliorate any hurt he may feel over his mother. Gordon has been good sport with all the changes and will also be a great influence on Toby as well.
