  1. Any chapter now... We're getting close.
  2. Jack is sly... come on, let's give it to him, lol! As for advice, there's good advice and bad advice.
  3. There is a whole cast of characters who will play a role... Close to getting on the last straight line of the race!
  4. Chapter Forty-Two – The Great Passing He couldn’t see Jack anymore, and it was getting so hot that his lungs burned each time he tried to inhale. The fairy was no longer there, either, making him wonder if he hadn’t imagined everything because he was in too much pain. With one last-ditch effort, Vince rolled on his back, his eyes turned toward the ceiling. It was burning like a furnace, hot yellow and red, and he had the strangest sensation that something was staring right at him thro
  5. Ha-ha, didn't even realize it! But yes, you could say that, lol!
  6. Oh, gawd... well, it's been more than thirty years since I took Latin. It was one of those thing I thought I wouldn't have to check - I'll edit it now, and thanks for the correction. Of course, Veridien students wouldn't make such a mistake, but this author would.
  7. oh, that little mention of a diary... and someone noticed! But is it a real clue, or just a lil' honest red... fishy?
  8. He's one meaty boy!
  9. He-he... let's not get ahead of ourselves!
  10. Thank you! Yes, Abelard would be obvious... but obvious doesn't usually work in novels Lawrence won't hesitate a moment to question Abelard's absence and his alibi. He knows how to shake these boys... He-he, Anton... some of my patrons have already changed their initial opinions about him, but I'll let you be the judge as the events will unfold. The twins will also offer you their fair share of surprises! Lawrence will be an active investigator and he will poke around mercilessly in search of the truth. Lukas's diary... oh, it will offer some really interesting insight!
  11. Lawrence can't tell it either, and it's intentional. Whoever it was, the perp gave up quickly, which leaves room for interpretation...
  12. Lawrence, so far, doesn't have a clear suspect in mind, either - so he will continue to observe... as his uncle told him, but he will do much more than that. Without giving spoilers, I can tell you that the killer has already appeared on page.
  13. You are right on the money here. Lawrence will pay attention.

    Kindred Spirit

Chapter Thirteen – Kindred Spirit Whether the faculty would eventually hear about how he ruined Lustratio or not was beyond his control, so Lawrence preferred not to dwell on it. He’d cross that bridge when – if – the Rector summoned him with the intention of expelling him. However, he had great faith in Bastien’s ability to convince Felix to keep it all a secret. Apparently, hierarchy was strong at Veridien; according to Ali, the master of Lustratio – Lustratio Solis being the exact name o
  15. I love how 'fingers crossed' are the reaction to your comment - they are heading over to a big reveal, a big confrontation, and a big resolution!
  16. He-he, it's like a TV series! Vince and Jack will reunite! Theo will learn new things...
  17. Theo has never stopped being brave
  18. Thank you so much Theo is going to find out new things - well, not new, but things he couldn't remember - and the past will become clearer and clearer. They will all learn about the fate of the pack and what truly happened.
  19. Vince, Jack and Skarg will become a little team! Theo is facing the past, and learns things he couldn't remember before.
  20. Jack has a knack for that! Good attracts good, I suppose. Vince will discover things about himself, while Theo has to relive the painful past.
  21. They both needed to have 'spirit animals' - though Jack might be more surprised to hear that than Vince!
  22. Chapter Forty-One – A Matter of Perspective The house was collapsing. The earth roared underneath Theodore’s paws, and the tremors intensified. Behind him, the cries of terror from the cubs faded away. It took him but a moment to realize what was happening. He was falling through the floor, still battling the branches of the evil tree that was attacking them. Using all he knew, all the muscles and sinews in his body, he started jumping from one curled undergrown root to another, while
  23. Oh, yes... a very dangerous place. But fear not, Lawrence believes in his role as an investigator the most!
  24. I know I'm asking you guys to basically take notes... Rest assured - and hopefully vindicated - that while I'm writing this, I'm basically like
  25. So many people say the same thing!
