  1. Happy Mother's Day!
  2. I am.. "almost" a vegetarian. It's by choice, I don't like a lot of the meats out there. The only animal I am a weakling for is Chicken for the most part. I absolutely hate fish and pork, but I will eat beef on occasion. I don't know any Vegetarians here, this is a state that loves to outside barbecue so I'm hardly ever around any, although, some of my family that never show up to the family functions here are Vegetarians, and they didn't call ahead and tell me they were or I would've had a full course vegetarian dinner plan out for them, but eh.. they probably won't be to another family function. Anyway, once in a while I'll think my health would be better if I was a strict vegetarian, but milk products are my comfort foods... yogurt, ice cream, cheese, milk.. lol. Good source of calcium, but there are vegetarians that eat eggs and milk as it doesn't hurt the animal. I am unhappy when I always have a salad sitting in front of me as well.

  4. Happy Birthday!! Have a good one.
  5. David Archuleta is too corny and sing-songish. He does have a good voice, but he just cannot carry himself in a mature way, in my opinion. He is young though... and will probably be second or the winner of AI7. He'll have a record deal regardless of the outcome and will be successful for at least one record album, but to me David Cook is the more complete artist and I want a rocker to win.. instead of the country and pop tarts.
  6. Eh.. David damn near was a one night stand.... enough said.
  7. I date guys older than me, but as far as significantly older, I don't. David is in his late 20's, so it's not that large of an age gap, but we do have our days where I want to be out and about and he just wants quiet time.. lol.. So, even though the George Clooney types are hot and attractive, I won't date guys too much older than me. Thirty-two is probably my strict cut off age. I have never been fond of muscled up men either. A toned body, but not a muscle-bound man is far more attractive to me. I don't want to be engulfed by a hard bodied man.. lol.. as I'm really petite. Anyway, personality is far more important.
  8. Happy Birthday!! have a good one.
  9. Lol.. I would've been like, "hell with this" and called someone to come rescue me then take me to eat.. lol... That was an interesting lunch break to say the least.
  10. In High Schools now girls are more openly saying they're bi or attracted slightly to other girls, way more so than guys. I suspect it's for attention more so than actual feelings, which I think is a growing trend in young women. They want to impress as many guys as possible as it's not a competition and game to them, really doesn't allow for serious healthy relationships though. Also, pregnancies have always been a problem around here. Girls as young as 14 have had confirmed pregnancies here as well. As for Bisexuality in males, I think it's more authentic, most will probably come out as gay later in life when they're more comfortable, but right now Bi is seen as more accepted and people tend to be more open-minded with the "chance their son or daughter will live heterosexual." So I would think some girls will say they're bisexual to impress guys, and guys will say bisexual because either they are bi, or they're not comfortable enough to come completely out of the closet and in society straight people around here accept bisexuality better.
  11. Happy Birthday!!!
  12. Happy Birthday!!! Have a good one.
  13. I am still opposed to the war, I have been from the start. I wasn't able to vote against Bush the first time, but I did the second. Anyway, I believe the United States will be at war with Iran in the future regardless of the outcome of the war in Iraq. I do believe that Iraq will fall regardless of the outcome of the war as well - it's just the region of the world that isn't ever going to be a true democracy like Bush wants. It's the only reason we're in there now, to form an established democracy. As far as deployment, it shouldn't be abrupt, but it should be happening. Our economy is suffering. We the US decided to take action unilaterally so the burden is on us to turn a country out at all the costs of not having significant help. So the argument really isn't with senators and the way they voted we should have had a president who understood that he needed Allied help from the beginning. Authorization doesn't mean he should step right in to a war, it only gives him the right to. He chose a unilateral approach and now we're paying for it. As far as eradication of Terrorism is concerned, that won't happen. To slightly defend McCain (I know shocking), I believe he meant that we'll always be stationed in Iraq. We have military stationed in many parts of the world, I doubt he meant war, just us being established there for a hundred years is going to happen. But I'm still not going to vote for him. Oh and I am beyond tired of hearing that Hilary Clinton cannot be president for the sole reason she is a first lady, married to Bill Clinton. She isn't carrying around his baggage, she has her own brain and ideas, her own qualifications. If that's the only reason people have for not voting for her then they shouldn't ever vote for president as their views are screwed. Just like the people that won't vote for Obama because of his name or skin color.
  14. I don't really like public displays of affection for anyone. It's not disgusting - well it can be rather disgusting. PDA though, I think is inappropriate in most places that I usually am. I think the circumstances like say an engagement proposal, romantic birthday party for two, and such allows for people to be more romantic and expressive with kissing, but that should be it. I cannot stand sitting in a computer lab or library or cafeteria and see two people who obviously can't kiss suck face and grope one another right in front of me where I can not only hear their lips smacking together, their tongues swapping spit around, I can see it all too. I've been known to be vocal when I think people take it too far.. it hasn't been welcomed with understanding from the couple I have made comments about.. for the most part. I wouldn't be mean though. I have self control in public places and I would never kiss anyone in a computer lab or indoors in a public place. I won't be all over them either. I just find it annoying. Expansive places like a public park or resort on a beach there is more room for that. People can get away if they don't like what is going on around them, but where space is limited and one has to share it people need to have self-control.
  15. Congratulations on the big 4-0-0-0!
  16. Let's see if I can name them all. Faith Hill Ft. Tim McGraw - "Let's Make Love" Tim McGraw Ft. Faith Hill - "It's Your Love" Gary Alan - "The One" Lifehouse - "Everything" Lifehouse - "You and Me"
  17. Happy Birthday!
  18. Even if they say Breast feeding is beneficial, I wouldn't do it. It has always been something that bottles looked so much better really. My mother didn't breast feed me or anyone of her babies either.
  19. In my State and pretty much everywhere in the south.. Women want to be married with a child on their hip before the people they graduated with (some even get started well before graduation) so really I went along with that sort of idea towards marriage. Proof in having two quick relationships turn into two bad engagements, and two breaking off engagements. My four closest female friends are married and three of them have their first child and the fourth is pregnant already. So, they fell right into the idea. I know I have some bouts of jealousy when I see them as a young family. Seeming more adult to me. Anyway, so after the two failed engagements I still have kept my thoughts on a traditional wedding, and I dare not propose to a man unless I absolutely love him and he has yet to pop the question.. lol.. as I am impatient too. But, the idea that I don't have time to waste to find and marry a man I have left far behind which has actually taken a lot of pressures away from me. As far as marriage goes too, I don't see it as something I could easily do anymore. It would take an exceptional guy to convince me that a marriage is a good idea. David probably isn't that guy either.
  20. Hang in there. People never get over the death of someone that close whether it be a father figure, a sibling, a child, those deaths I'd think would be something that would last and never really lose its powerful emotion. Watching someone slowly decline in health is something hard to do as well no matter who it is. Being part of something like that does make one think about how much time they have too.
  21. I would rather be proposed to, but I won't rule out asking some man to marry me... lol.. I mean especially if the guy doesn't feel brave enough to propose. It wouldn't be romantic or anything, just a suggestion I would guess... I'm into traditional weddings and proposals, it's the southern belle in me I guess..
  22. Well I think the poll lends itself to hopeful answers. Even I found myself thinking it would be easy to stay with someone who I have made a significant commitment to or that I'm married to. Physically it wouldn't bother me to stay with someone as the physical part is just one level and it takes so much more than that before a commitment is made in the first place and it be healthy and lasting. So scarring, would definitely take time to get used to, but it is something that would be in the back of my mind. The emotional scarring that the person would take on after that would be something that I would struggle with. You can console and encourage all you want really. It's the changes in their personality, self-esteem, the way they spoke and reacted, if any combinations of those change it would be difficult for me to honestly stay with that person. As it would be like dating a complete stranger with a lot of emotional baggage attached.
  23. Well I depended on my friends for all of my happiness while in high school. It wasn't until I graduated High School that I became close to my mother and still we have our days where we're arguing and such, but the friends I had kept me sane and on the track that I'm on now. So out of the list I would choose them as being the personal relationship that affected me the most as I really wouldn't know where I'd be without them - well really, losing anyone of the relationships that I have with family and close friends would be a significant loss.
  24. Happy Birthday!!!! Have a good one!
