  1. I cannot personally have children, so that forces me to be undecided on the whole idea. I do have it arranged to search for a Surrogate mother to carry my fertilized eggs, but I've been around children all my life - babysitting (practically raising them honestly) so I'm pretty tired. There is still that curiosity though of what my children would look like if I and whoever I married would have a baby. Adopting is something I've thought about doing as well. Two of my brothers and sisters are adopted so I see the appeal there. My oldest sister is taking care of a little boy who's mother is in jail for drug possessions and when she gets out of jail and goes to rehab and all that good stuff she gets the kid back... it's a good program, but I doubt I could do something like that.. as I would think a bad mother would always be a bad mother and when the child is happy.. then put back into a place of stress and neglect.. wouldn't be a good thing. Actually, this is the second time the child has been taken away from the mother and I think it's time for people to see.. that she doesn't care. So.. adopting is something good to do.. if you can afford it. Anyway that was slightly off topic.. lol. I would get a surrogate and permanently adopt though.
  2. I still don't know.. we're holding the "serious" gifts for our night out Saturday and since I don't like chocolate he didn't get me anything else - other than the "surprise."
  3. Aww. It's ok to buy you stuff... maybe not wrapped really. You're young dear so no worries you have plenty of time and chances to figure out the dating scene as it's not easy. Krista
  4. Happy Birthday!!!
  5. Aww.. Burger King... yuck. Lol. I'm not celebrating Vday officially until Saturday when David is off work. He said the nurses, doctors, and other staff all had a good laugh at his expense. He wasn't the only victim though so that made him feel better. He said he really liked the gifts, they were a nice surprise and it relieved a lot of stress and tension for him. He had spent most of the morning giving flu shots to little kids and that had him frazzled. Anyway, he said no big surprises next year.. and honestly, I don't know how to top this one.. and it remain G-rated and appropriate.
  6. Happy Birthday!!! Have a good one.
  7. Honestly.. I flirt... that seems odd, but really, if it's too early for me to believe them I don't want to dishearten them by changing the subject or freak out. I definitely don't want to say it back either - if the feelings aren't there. It leads to expectations afterwards and I tend to stay well away from unwanted expectations as all that becomes messy. So, I flirt. So that they see something encouraging, with out me submitting to the words in any way. They may take it as me "feeling the same way," but since it's not said - and really so far I've been lucky and not met a guy to actually force the subject it out of me with countless discussions or questions - then the guy cannot hold the words against himself or me. Anyway, It's easier for me to be flirtatious. It is leading them on, but saying I love you just for the hell of it is a lot more damaging compared to me turning the attention away from the word and returning to a light moment. I guess it's a perk that women have... and I don't recommend it for most people.. lol.. it's just something that I do. We've been desensitized to the word.
  8. I am not watching it for the Eye Candy.. - Maybe because I don't think there is much? Edit: Luke Menard and Michael Johns are definitely my type. But anyway, I don't see any standout people on that show at all.. most of them were barely consistent - even the judges said so. But American Idol does have it's share of unknown artist winners that haven't done much of anything after their season ended. I'm bummed that the young blond haired guy with the hat didn't make it..
  9. David will be receiving his gifts at 1:00 p.m EST.. It is good for him that I couldn't find a singing telegram person though. Anyway... Happy Valentines Day!
  10. Aww.
  11. Well!... lol. You have until what? Thursday? You better get rollin' dear. Anyway, David has been completely absent about that whole idea.. lol.. But since he's terrible at hiding things.. I know the smile and blushing means he has something planned. I actually bought the most girly gifts I could find for him actually.. lol. A HUGE stuffed bear.. it's about four feet tall. A box of Chocolates, and I'm sending him those and roses at work because I know he'll kill over dead from embarrassment. That will teach him from withholding information. For his serious gift I bought him a bracelet that matched the necklace he gave me for my birthday.
  12. Welcome to GA Rose.
  13. Lol... rest easy it wouldn't deal with that. The way I understand the process it would be taking genes of both 'fathers' and removing the genes of the mother in the egg. The process remains the same after that.. you will still need the egg. A woman will still need to be the surrogate, so in a sense you're creating a Designed child. I could be wrong though.
  14. I wouldn't read an incest story. It's something I just tend to stay well away from really and I'm extremely picky when it comes to what I read. I would though, warn people that it contains Incest beforehand in the disclaimer. There is an audience out there for you.
  15. Yes, it is possible to love more than one person on the same level and intensity.
  16. Out of all of the Boy Band'ers Lance Bass was my all-time favorite.. I thought he was the hottest and I knew he was the most down to earth really.. lol.. A real loss to women everywhere... I'm glad that he is a solid role-model for the gay community and a valid source with his testimony that it's okay to be who you are.
  17. I have three close gay male friends. They are now, considered as my best friends since the "girls" and my straight male friends are playing house most of the time and don't get time away from their jobs, school, and families. So, over the years, my gay friends and I have been the closest and we do talk and hang out a lot - not as much as we all used to - but I still ask their advice and such. I also have an extremely close family member that is Bi. My Brother-in-law is one of my most valued relatives as he's the only person that doesn't stress out when the family gets together and he's a huge help when we're together.. and that means a lot. Krista
  18. Hmm.. the genetic match is the aspect that is appealing I guess? I don't see any difference in adopting than having one of your own. It is still with the person you live with, love, etc.. Anyway, science involving reproduction is something that is concerning. Genetically modified children would be something I'd not support. Krista
  19. If there are authentic feelings behind what you're saying then the words never lose their potency. "I love you," should be large part of any relationship, but now people just say it too easily and when they don't mean it. Anyway, you can say it a billion times if the feelings are there... hearing it a billion times won't matter either.. if the feelings are returned. Krista
  20. Hmm.. I hold nothing sacred when it comes to sex. There are some acts that I will absolutely not do and the only thing I would hold sacred is if I still had my virginity - which I kind of lost for the sake of losing it.. lol.. Now though, I just maintain the idea that I will not be a person that has casual sex. I will forever only have sex with someone I'm in a fully committed relationship with - but that's not an act.
  21. I'm glad the charges were dropped, I saw nothing wrong with either ad - if the woman posing topless was the one causing the problem was the problem. It's tasteful and my former Spanish professor said that she saw some nude mainstream ads. We're far more conservative than other parts of the world, when it comes to things such as this - to be so developed, it really causes problems.
  22. So I'm guessing the half inch of butt-crackin is what the complaint is about? I see more butt-cracking getting milk at the grocery store or getting a leaky pipe fixed. I'm sorry, ads like this are nothing compared to some of the global ads. There is nothing obscene with that. Abercrombie and Fitch is a clothing line and fashion. I saw nothing wrong with it and it's ignorance. Don't buy their clothes if you can't take their advertising don't go around complaining, just get away from the organization completely. People just want to make a fuss and that censors creativity. I thought the picture was tasteful photography. I know it was planned for the "butt-crackin," but captured seemingly spontaneous, I could see it being tastefully artistic. Anyway, Americans need to lose their fear of the naked body, it's sad to be so afraid of it.
  23. Happy Birthday!!! Have a good one!
