We're supposed to get a few sporadic flurries for the next couple of days but I dont think any accumulation until maybe Sunday night. Then I guess we're getting plunged into an arctic freeze on Tuesday. Today is the first day in about a week or so that the sun has done more than peek out from the gloomy skies for more than hot minute. Its a major change from the 250+ sunny days on average Florida gets. Lol. I wish I could take a nap. I didn't sleep much last night. My boss is gone for the day and I want to write but my brain is too foggy.

I think its one of those weeks. Today I overslept and was an hour late to work. Yesterday when I was getting out of my car and grabbing my stuff (I had extra because I was going to the pool after work), I went into a panic because I didn't see my backpack and my work keys are in it. Hopefully the rest of the week behaves. Have a good one!

Today is a cooking kind of day. This morning I discovered we had no biscuits for egg sandwiches which is a Sunday favorite so I made some from scratch. Then it was off to the pool for some much needed exercise. Came home and put some meat sauce in the crockpot to simmer for a few hours. Dinner tonight is roasted pork loin and a balsamic roasted veggie. I think I'm going to throw some onions in another crockpot overnight and make onion soup tomorrow ... yum. MIL and son are off to the relatives for the evening. Alexa is playing holiday tunes and I've got an eggnog cheesecake in the oven. Hubs and I get to enjoy a rare evening without any other humans around. Let's hope the pets behave. Merry Christmas to all. May your holiday be peaceful. ❤️

Happy Christmas Eve Eve everyone! I hope your shopping is all done and presents are wrapped. I think I'm all set, but every year it never fails that despite writing a list, I remember one more thing I need and its usually 5pm Christmas Eve. I was planning on a nice Christmas prime rib for me, hubs, the child and the MIL. Plans have changed as MIL and the child have decided on going to our SIL's tomorrow night, and our niece's for Christmas dinner. No sense in cooking a 7lb roast for two people. Hubby's birthday is in 2 weeks so I'll save it for then. Apparently our other SIL stopped by yesterday while I was out and tried to rip my husband a new one because we were "blowing them off" for Christmas. He didn't take it lying down and told her point blank it wasn't about "blowing off" the family but he just got done working 6 straight weeks of 55 hours at a physically demanding job and needs to decompress. He also shoved it in her face that holidays are hard for us since the whole incident with my son and now our kids are estranged because of it and we will probably never have another holiday with both of our boys together and its difficult being around the rest of the family when they dont have that problem. That shut her up. She's damn lucky I wasn't home. He said she apologized. Its not the holidays without some sort of family drama. I hope everyone weathers the next few days successfully. If not, we can always start a GoFundMe lol. Have a good day everyone!

Well, we ended up with about an inch of fluffy powdery stuff. Both hubby and the child are working today so I pulled on my new snow boots and did the driveway and front walk. I have wisely decided not to try to wrangle the unopened 50lb bag of salt. Hubby can do that when he gets home. In the meantime, I've got a nice pot roast going for dinner tonight. I think I'll go make some hot chocolate. Have a good day everyone!

Its 379. Totally the fault of the Krew. Theyre completely insane. @weinerdog is the ringleader. He chews through muzzles, he's somehow destroyed three anti-bark collars and knows that if he runs fast enough he can barrel through the electric fence with barely a shock. He's a menace.

No... nor is it unreasonable to get upset when you're accused of not telling someone something when you know damn well you did. Especially when the other person has a history of not remembering stuff.

We've warmed up to a whopping 19°F. If were lucky we might get to 22. If that happens I'll break out the flip flops 🤣. Don't believe him. I'm willing to bet he's got on more layers than an onion. Its his husband who would be ok strolling to the store in shorts in sub zero weather. Apparently @MichaelS36 is a walking furnace. Honestly.... not a bad skill set to have in the winter. Summer, not so much. Lol.

I will admit... if I have to chose, I'd much rather be cold than hot. Camden on the other hand... we have to literally pick him up and take him outside. He drove my MIL crazy crying to go out all day and then refusing to step off the porch. I had to walk him around the fenced in backyard this morning and he still stubbornly refused to do his business. Must be the dachshund in him. I guess I'm taking him to work with me tomorrow. Glad you got all your stuff sorted out tim.

I'm working on it. I hit a massive writing slump in which I started 2 stories. Both stalled, one after 4 chapters and the other after 10. Hopefully, they'll speak to me at some point. Currently, I've got another story in the works and it seems to be moving along pretty well. The story idea is there in its entirety, I just have to put it together in my head. I miss having a story to post.
