    Garlic or Love

Jesus... garlic! I love you for this.
  2. Omg...🤣🤣. That's a good one!
  3. I'll keep that in mind 😉
  4. I got a new knife. Promptly cut myself using said knife. 🤦‍♀️ Went thru 2 regular bandaids before I smartened up and used a gigantic bandaid. Crisis averted and no food was contaminated. I did have to wash two plates after I set the table. All is well now. Guess I need to be more careful.
  5. I love hearing this. I'm proud of you for taking the steps you needed to in order to discover your self-worth. Like I told @MichaelS36, who we are constantly changes. I'm glad you found your confidence and recognize that you are "good enough". You go girl!
  6. Bill the Yak sacrificed (yakrificed?) his shaggy hair for a good cause. Those look great!
  7. Congratulations!!

    The Path Home

The path should always lead you home, my friend. Hugs.
  9. Hope everyone is hanging in there. Halfway through the week folks. My household has been battling colds and/or allergies all week. Haven't figured out who has what. I'm just medicating everyone. At least I don't have to work this Saturday and we get to leave at 3 on Friday, so that's a plus. The new car is working out nicely. Its a good fit. Have a good rest of your week everyone!
  10. You did good, Wayne.

    Who Are You?

I don't think there's really an answer to that question. Its more like we are who we need to be at any given moment---a husband, a wife, a son or daughter, a parent, a friend, a coworker, a stranger. If anything we're adaptable. Do we always like who we are in that moment? No. Do we adjust? Most of the time. We're individuals still trying to figure it out no matter how young or old we are.
  12. In case you missed it, I had to go through the process of getting a new car, which I wasn't planning on. However, I think I came out ahead of the game. I decided to look at Carvana and had it narrowed down to two different makes. After researching further, I selected one and started the process last night. Honestly, I was skeptical about buying a car completely online and am happy to say that other than the State of Massachusetts requiring you to jump through extra hoops, everything went smoothly. On Sunday I will become the owner of a slightly used 2025 Chevy SUV. It has less than 30K miles on it versus the 140K the other car had and it's much newer. The best part is I was able to get a better interest rate and my payments are almost $100 less per month. Overall, it wasn't as nearly as stressful as going to a dealer and so far I'm happy I went this route. I'll let you know how the car is after it's delivered. Have a good one!
  13. As long as it's not a bowl cut I think he'll be good. Or mullet. Business in the front and party in the back just ain't right.
  14. 80 and humid? Nope. I'd be indoors anyway. I did miss it in January and February when hell froze over and we hit negative numbers. On a happy note, I discovered that at some point I was smart enough to include gap insurance on our car so they are covering the outstanding balance on the loan, which is such a stress relief for me. Have a good day everyone!

    Chapter 23

Aw, thanks so much. I'm glad you liked it!
  16. We had an annual membership there when our kids were little! Its a great aquarium. Check out the Inner Harbor while you're there, there's some nice shops and restaurants. I used to work right across the street from there. Have fun!

    Gone

Oh Wayne, I'm so sorry. Hugs.
  18. Oh the stories you could tell... bless your heart (must be read in a Southern accent lol) for doing a job dealing with the illogical humans in this world.
  19. So yesterday was a fantastic hit. I haven't seen these ladies and our teacher for over 30 years and we just fell right into the friend dynamic we had way back when. So many forgotten memories and laughter. I found out that one of my friends and our French teacher egged the nuns' convent lol. The spouses learned a lot about what we were like back then. The stuff we used to do with our French teacher outside of school would get him fired nowadays even though it wasn't anything bad unless you have an issue with underage drinking...not getting drunk but having a couple of beers when going out for pizza or some wine at a French themed group dinner at his apartment. He's a very well educated and well traveled guy with a heart of gold. Have a great day everyone!
  20. The day is finally here! After first hearing from my old high school friend in November and working around 7 people's schedules and having our mini-reunion dinner rescheduled twice because of that nasty 's' word, we've made it to D-Day (Dinner Day!) I'll be seeing two wonderful ladies I spent many many hours with over the course of four years. I'm also picking up our French professor who's class we had together for three of the four years. OMG...the shenanigans we got up to in that class haha! He's a fantastic guy and is the most favorite teacher I ever had. I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone **happy dance**! Have a fabulous day everyone!

    Chapter 1

Great way to wrap up a murder mystery. This was a good story to read and a fun dip into the supernatural world.
  22. Hmmm, methinks someone is trying to butter you up 😁

    Chapter 6

When you sent me this chapter to edit, I didn't know what to expect. I was hoping for a happily ever after and I did get it, but it wasn't wrapped up in a nice little bow. Instead, I cried because of how real everything felt. The conversation in the barn was gut wrenching in a good way. We have no idea what happens to us when we die, and to show one possibility through Leo was brilliant. The ending was perfect. Lonnie has found a sense of peace, and Leo ... I love that you left it a bit vague because Leo will always be a part of Lonnie and even though his ghost may have faded, the memories Lonnie has never will. This has become my favorite story of yours. xoxo
