Oi. Packing a truck in August heat is brutal. Been at it since 10am with lots of breaks. Help is coming in about an hour and it should wrap up pretty quick after that. I'd say at least 80% is loaded. Got some more smaller items to go, then its just the heavy stuff that there's no way I can help with. Hopefully we'll be on the road around 6 and then stop by 8 and find a hotel. I need a damn shower.

Thanks for reading, everyone. This year I felt like doing something a little tongue-in-cheek. I think I succeeded.

Aaannndddd that narrowed it down. 😆

I do like to wax poetic every now and again. But really this should've been a giveaway. Lol

Could've been almost anyone.

Close but no cigar. All good guesses but nope. I am a Secret Author. GOTCHA 🤣🤣

I agree with @ReaderPaul that beta readers and editors should be able give it to you straight. Having a good support team behind you is tantamount to having a successful story. I'm fortunate to have a team that will never pull a punch. They've hit me in the solar plexus plenty of times. You have to be able to take criticism for what it should be.... something to make your story better. Editors are not your friend. Just ask @Mrsgnomie. Well, maybe occasionally they are lol. So, yeah, finding the right team will help you become a better author, no doubt about it.

Oh lord girl.... we're dangerous 🤣🤣

A few years ago there was a June Pride event that limited the number of words you could submit to 1000. Now that was freaking hard!

Cliffies! 😈😈❤️

First of all.... don't beat yourself up when it comes to time lines. Unless you are a writer by profession with deadlines set by a publisher, it doesn't matter how long it takes to write a story. You can't force words to come if they don't want to. Let me repeat that: You can't force words to come if they don't want to. Everyone lacks focus at some point. Life happens. I've had entire weekends with nothing to do and yet I haven't written a full-length story in almost two years. Its not that I don't have ideas... I do. I have two stories that I started and both have stalled. The creative process has a will of its own. Whether or not you write everything down first, create an outline or just wing is up to you. There's no right or wrong way. Every author has their own way of working through the writing process. I've always just winged it, but I have gotten to the point where I have what I would consider a rolling outline, meaning I write down ideas pertaining to the story as they come and I'll refer to it frequently to see where they best fit. Sometimes a scene will pop into my head and I'll have to write it out even though its not in chronological order. That's what editing is for. Two hours of commuting time kinda sucks, but on the bright side, its time you can use to let your brain marinate some of your ideas. My brain never shuts off. If you can, during your vommute, just focus on daydreaming. Eventually something will ignite and you'll be able to move forward. Just don't miss your stop. I'm looking forward to whatever you come up with. Hope this helps.

S'mores huh? So.... tim is the chocolate. No matter what way you have him its good. He's got his sweet, milk chocolate personality that pairs well with donuts. Then there's his humorous side that comes with the nuts and he does have his dark chocolate moments. You'd think Dan would be the marshmallow but nope. He's the graham crackers that holds things together. Sort of dry humor but with that oh-so-needed touch of sweetness. Then there's you, Mr. Marshmallow. Think about it. Marshmallows can be hard... like the ones in Lucky Charms or that dastardly stuff in a Charleston Chew that will not hesitate to break your teeth. Then there's the marshmallow puffs that are perfect for toasting over a fire until they're crispy on the outside but gooey in the middle. Finally there's marshmallow cream... proof that you're really a softie. (Also pairs well with donuts) 😁

I will. If the hips and back protest too much it'll be an extra night somewhere.

I'm too damn impatient. I think if we stop every few hours to stretch we'll be ok. The Tylenol and ibuprofen will be put to good use. I think I'll bring the back massager that I used on my chair at work. It'll help. Unless you're Joey from Friends. Fire wins. 🤣🤣

Packing sucks. But..... I've got about 80% done since I was able to start before I went up to Mass so I'm happy about that. The only thing I'm worried about is the drive. Its going to be about 24 hours of being on the road over 2 days. At least there's two of us. And the dog. And the cat. I wish they could drive.

I'd read it.

Is that all? One or two? Hmmmmm.... pretty sure you could write a book.

So. Damn. Oblivious. Yet if he was standing behind you he'd notice if you rolled your eyes. Double sigh.

I guess it's better than a few whacks from a paddle. Me thinks he'd enjoy that. 😉

Lol... nope! Were you in the video Go Guido Go? I'm not going to link the video because its pretty raunchy.... but the start of the song is stuck in my head forever. Down at Revere Beach sittin' on da wahl. Checkin' out the *itches drinkin' PBR tahls! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Oh gawd... that brings back college memories!

So....... I'm heading back to Florida tonight. In the past, every single time I've left Massachusetts, it was always with a heavy heart because its the place I've always considered home. This time, I'm ok with leaving because I've made the decision to move back. A lot of factors have contributed to the decision. Now that my parents are gone, there's really nothing tying me to the area. I have a much broader support system in Mass. The day after I told a good friend I was moving back, the next day she was planning an evening out to see a cover band when I get back. I have movers all set up and will be packing up the rest of our place this week. The truck should be there Saturday and we'll head out after we finish cleaning. Ive always hated packing and moving. This time I will be smiling as I tape up boxes. I'm going home. ❤️
