Yeah... that was fun switching over from AC to heat. Gotta love that burnt-dust-in-the-ducts smell stanking up the place. I actually pulled out the sweatshirts and long-sleeved shirts.
But in general, Florida has become too overcrowded, overdeveloped, and overheated in the summers. I'm not a fan of heat index temps of over 100 for nearly four straight months.
I hope you feel better hon!
I've been enjoying the nice New England weather. Its been warm (70s/80s) so far with low humidity.
Today is the last day my older boy and his wife will be here. We're going over my best friend's house tonight for pizza and game night. Then they are headed out to upstate New York for the rest of the week to do some hiking and sightseeing
Have a good day everyone!
Dunkin's donuts are nowhere near as good as they used to be. I don't get them very often as they aren't made on site anymore (after the Dunkin Man died no one wanted to get up and make the donuts). They're so much better from the local mom and pop places.
Warm Krispy Kremes are da bomb! Lol
I am off to my happy place tomorrow. Flight leaves at 615am. Going home to Mass. I'm so looking forward to getting a break from this heat and humidity!
If you ever get a chance to do an Alaskan cruise... go for it!. Its in my top three of favorite vacations. Virgin Voyages is a great option for adults only cruises. If you can afford it, there are a few small ships that have itineraries that can get into the smaller ports that the big ships can't. Lindblad and UnCruise come to mind, but they are pricey. The Rocky Mountaineer is sitting in the top three of my bucket list.
That trip is on my bucket list too. I've been to Canada a few times and would love to see some more sights. I've heard that there's a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant in the Toronto area.
Speaking of those little devils... @Mikiesboy did you remember to make sure there's a big enough dog house for @weinerdog and @Gary L's pups? We don't want them ruining the rugs in the new place.
