Our entire political system is in need of a drastic overhaul. Unfortunately too many politicians are narcissistic, egotistical, money and power hungry individuals who really don't give a damn about the people they represent. They're not accountable for their actions and are too busy fighting the opposite party to get much accomplished other than to piss of the American public. Sigh.

I am from a recipe that states: Combine the following ingredients in whatever ratio is appropriate for any given day Craziness, loyalty, an "I'm not playing" mindset, stubborness, creativity, attitude (feel free to include snarkiness), insecurity, love, friendship, and a smidgen of 'piss off' and 'ewww people' Throw in an air tight container and shake well. Caution upon opening.

Leave it to you to stir up trouble. Bad dog.

Hi! Everything's ok here. Just been working and dealing with all the stuff that goes along with it. Have a good day everyone!

I'll take snow over ice any day. I got caught in an ice storm when I was in college. Slid through an intersection and down a hill. I didn't get traction until I got to the bottom. Then I had to go over a bridge and up the hill on the other side. I was driving my mom's 1978 Dodge Dart (I think that's what it was) and just barely made it up the hill. To this day it's the scariest drive I've ever had to do. Stat warm everyone!

No snow where I'm at. Mostly up in the panhandle. But it is cold enough to see your breath. It's raining too. I've been wearing socks for a while now because of the issue with my ankle tendon. I've been forbidden to wear flip flops on a regular basis. However... I don't do plain socks. I had to get some, so of course I got some patterns... unicorns, dogs, bananas, bumblebees and a lot of stripes and geometric designs. Life's too short to wear plain socks lol. Stay warm and dry everyone and have a good week!

Breadsticks are being stubborn. I think there's something wrong with the oven.

Oh those naughty pups!

I hope you both feel better soon! I really hope things start improving for you. Any chronic illness or condition is hard to deal with. I've been battling just a general malaise and fatigue the last two weeks or so. It's hard getting motivated when your body just wants to do nothing. I'm pretty sure it's stress related. The past four months have pushed my mental and emotional health to their limits but things have been slowly getting better and I've been doing my best to remain positive. I hope everyone has a good day and a relaxing weekend.

That's awesome! Congratulations... it's a win-win for everyone!

Looks can be deceiving. 😈

Thanks Anton! I'm glad you enjoyed it! The breadsticks are baking. It'll be a little bit before they're done.

Florida has announced it will no longer participate in winter. If all y'all up north could kindly come get your cold air we'd appreciate it. Wind chill is in the 30s for us today. The falling iguana index is at DEFCON 5. Stay warm everyone!

Engineer Benson - July 29, 1993

Jeez...you brought me back in time to high school and college biology classes. Lots of great information though. Even without a zombie virus the human body is an amazingly complex thing. I'm glad the boys will have their own space. They need it. I'm so glad your muse has decided to get up off it's ass and inspire you! (Can you tell it to give mine a call? Thanks)- 16 comments

Social media can be a rabbit hole. I'm on it sparingly, mostly scrolling when I'm bored to watch cute dog reels. Yesterday at work, I was out on the golf cart (preferred mode of transport lol) when a couple flagged me down. An African gray parrot had flown up to them and perched on their rig. The bird promptly flew on top of the golf cart. I gotta admit, it was a beautiful bird. The bird would let you get close, or give it a cracker but flew off if you tried to catch it. I asked my activity director to post a notice on the community Facebook site (I don't belong) to see if anyone in the park had lost it. A few hours later after multiple shares she got a response. A couple 2.5 miles away had lost their bird on New Years Eve when he flew out the door when someone was coming in. They were devastated. In the meantime, my housekeeper and maintenance guy had managed to catch the bird and had him in their RV. Ziggy was reunited with his owners who were ecstatic. Happy ending credited to the power of social media. It was a good way to start off the year.

Welcome back, my friend! Wherever the new inspiration came from... run with it while you can! Thank you for this. It's good to see the survivors are still hanging in there and making some solid plans for the future. Hopefully Jake will prove a useful addition to the group.- 21 comments

I'm a little late to the party but Happy New Year everyone. I, for one, am glad to put one dumpster fire of a year behind me. I'm looking forward to getting on with life and focusing on being happy and healthy. It'll take some work but now that I've kicked the nasty norovirus, I feel up to it. Have a good year!

Couldn't have said it better myself. Leave it to @Danilo Syrtis to create a mountainium out of a mole holium.
