Oh molly, I'm so sorry you've had such a difficult time lately. Change is hard. Especially a forced change. Our jobs keep us locked in an environment of our employer's choosing. When they come along and shake that little snow globe we spend a good chunk of hours in every week it's confusing and disorienting. Keep reminding yourself that you are among the best at what you do. Your boss knows this. If training has not been adequate, ask for clarification. It takes time to learn new skills/procedures. Everyone stumbles while navigating this road we call life. You are good at what you do. You have made good changes in the past as tim pointed out. You will get past this. Lean on those who love you. We're always here to give you a boost. Quite the opposite. I love Loe. Probably more than Jay. But as it's been pointed out. Elijah’s dad was the football fan. Loren was most likely never on his radar.

Scrappy always irritated me. No amount of Scooby-snacks could mellow him out...lol.

Kage is used to banging humans. He reacts out of habit more than anything else. Also... he might not be a fan of having a sploogy ass.

We'll get a little bit more information regarding Kage's upbringing.

Kage is definitely not a sociopath. He is misunderstood.

Kage has no clue how to process his own self worth. His upbringing didn't teach him how to value himself. It might be a hard lesson to learn.

I find that hard to believe.

If that is what pops into my brain... so be it. After Caleb's story I might go back to my Berkshire crew. Ian's friend Jase has been whispering every once in a while. We'll see!

This journey isn't going to be easy for any of them. I can guarantee you're going to be surprised.

I love your optimism! My house is still chaos. Liveable chaos, but I'm getting there slowly. The main bathroom and our bedroom are pretty much good. The kitchen still needs some more organizing, but I'm waiting on another cabinet. The living room? It's a mess. It'll get there eventually! Elijah isn't sure what he's going to do with the house yet. He hasn't had enough time to process.

You wouldn't believe the noise some of these characters create in my head. I think that's why most authors write. There are stories there that just have to be told. It doesn't matter if it's fiction, poetry, autobiographical or anything else. Pretty sure it holds true for any art, music, painting, sculpting.... if it's within you, the need to create can sometimes be overwhelming. That's exactly what happened with this story, Elijah and the rest of the characters wouldn't leave me alone. I literally wrote 40 chapters in 4 months. To me, that's insane. Not sure if I'll ever do it again. @Mrsgnomie 's second boyfriend, Caleb, is being quiet right now. Probably because I've been so busy with moving and editing/posting. I'm sure he'll start chattering soon!
