This time of year I have no problem letting people stay a few extra hours as it's our slow season... provided they come up and freaking ask! Common sense has gone the way of the dinosaur. It's a good thing they are taking good care of you and we won't have to find out. I will keep this suggestion for future reference. Thanks!

Quick little poll... How many of you think it is perfectly OK to extend their stay somewhere.. i.e., a hotel or Airbnb, without making prior arrangements? I am astonished at the number of guests who ignore our check out time of 11am. Look.. if you need more time just come to the office and talk to us. In most cases I can give you a few extra hours. But don't just assume you can leave whenever it strikes your fancy because guess what? You now have an extended check out charge, or if you're not gone by the time I am at the end of the day then you'll be charged an entire extra night. What is wrong with people?

I'm glad it went smoothly. Let your guys take care of you for a bit... (or I may need to have words with them). I hope this is the end of your tooth issues. ❤️

2024 Poetry Anthology - Seasons - Wrap Up
kbois commented on Valkyrie's blog entry in Gay Authors News
A big thanks to the Anthology team. I'm glad I got to try something new and read some amazing submissions. -
Overall this whole week has been sort of a $#!+ show. I'm sure we're not the only ones glad to see it end. Here's to a much better weekend!🎉 Happy Friday!

I have earned.. tenosynovitis which is an inflamed tendon sheath rather than the tendon itself. I'm not sure if the treatment will be the same but I will find out next Tuesday. I also earned a few other unexpected things with big long Latin names that weren't on the radar.. boils down to some sort of cyst in the middle of my foot and a bunch of arthritis. Aging... yay... not. I have little faith that this will be healing any time soon. Hope everyone has a good night!

Grocery shopping on Tuesday morning. I have no problem with this. It's the retired snowbirds who are out in droves on a Saturday morning clogging up the aisles with their mobility scooters or stopping in the middle and making it impossible to get around them while Fred and Ethel debate brands of prunes... There should be designated times for people to shop according to age group and working status.

This story has a bit of everything if you enjoy the suspense/thriller genre. Which I do! Great plot with some unusual twists and turns. A few well-placed cliffhangers- my favorite thing when I'm writing- but not when I'm reading, as well as intrigue and of course some romance. I'm definitely looking forward to more adventures with Jamie and friends. Thanks for a great story!

Nicely done tim. So.. 14 & 15 Great imagery on both of these. 16..I've been stuck in an elevator.. granted it was 1986 and a bunch of us on our high school trip to Europe decided it was perfectly fine to cram 11 of us in an elevator meant for a max capacity of 5 or 6. I think we scarred the hotel staff for life when they pried open the doors in between floors and we all crawled out like it was a clown car. 17. It's a good thing he's gone. You owe him nothing. He's not worth wasting emotions on. 18 & 19 More great imagery. 20. xoxo, my friend Thanks for these, tim.

Thank you @lawfulneutralmage for a wonderfully entertaining story. Yes, I'm on board with wanting to see more of Jamie's adventures. I still think Mike should know about the whole supernatural abilities thing and maybe manifest some of his own. The possibilities are endless for a future series. Great job!

Florida has always had a large homeless population. Some areas are worse than others. Surprisingly, though it's not as bad as one would think considering our climate. I know our west coast.. California, Oregon and Washington have huge issues. I recently read that California's homeless population increased to the point where that state alone accounts for almost 30% of the total homeless across the US. Our government will spend billions of dollars on foreign aid before attempting to fix the myriad of problems right in our own backyard. It's sad. As a property manager, I have no choice but to call the Sheriff when we have homeless on our property. Most of the time they move on, but occasionally we do have to trespass someone. It's unfortunate but necessary considering the nature of our business. There is no clear-cut solution if our government insists on fixing the rest of the world before focus on what really should matter. You bring up such a valid point, tim when you suggest doing something.. even if it's as simple as donating directly to a local shelter.
