I watched the first half of the game and had to shut it off after the second interception by Miami. Too much anxiety. The rivalry is a bitter one. When my son was in the band he told us that when they go to Miami to play, the band has to have a police escort and they need a parent volunteer escort to go to the bathroom because the Miami fans are horrible. They had stuff thrown at them when they were walking through the stadium.
I grew up around here and have always been loyal to New England teams.
In college, whenever I went home on the weekends and took public transportation I'd have to change lines at the North Station T stop, which happened to be at the Boston Gardens (which is now called something else but locals still refer to it as The Gardens). If the Bruins or Celts were playing the place was a zoo. This was back when the Celtics were on fire with Larry Byrd and Kevin McHale.
New England fans can be absolutely rabid in their loyalty. I'll root for the teams but I don't really follow them throughout the season.
If FSU plays at BC, I'll probably try to go. Its been a few years since that match up has been scheduled.
Enough sports talk. Most of y'all dont speak Sportese.
