I haven't seen the sun in three days. Kinda depressing. The highlight of my day today will be grocery shopping. In the rain. Yuck. At least I was able to go through the next few chapters and send them off to @Mrsgnomie. Let's see if she actually gets to them.

Owen was hurt and Troy knows it. What we don't know is Troy's real reason for drawing a blank. Was it stage fright? Subconscious preference for Miles? Or something else? Only Troy knows. He didn't tell me.

You're correct. Miles has a lot of baggage to unpack. Hopefully Troy will better understand why Miles felt like he had to leave the way he did. Judgement Day is looming huge on the horizon.

When I was deciding on how their initial reunion would play out, I knew I wanted it to show that they were not the young kids they were when they were together. As adults, they now have the maturity to better control their external reactions. Internally they are both a mess but neither will let it show in public. Wednesdays chapter will be enlightening.

It's extremely hard to make the decision to leave someone youve been with for a long time. Been at that crossroad myself. You're right....we haven't gotten an in depth look at Owen, so it's hard to say if he's going to be "the one". Does it suck to invest that many years in a relationship and have it end? Yep. But it's better than being stuck in one out of obligation. Glad you enjoyed the chapter.

Like I've said before... I consider it a compliment when I realize I've created a character that provokes emotions from the opposite end of the spectrum. It doesn't matter if Miles is liked or loved. His character is who it chose to be in my brain. I find that the more mixed emotions my readers have, the more complex character is. Same holds true for a beloved character or a truly hated villain.

Ever have one of those days where you're just in a funky mood? That's where I'm at, have been all day, and no signs of shaking it off. For those of you who may be feeling the impact of this Nor'easter, stay warm and dry. We've been breezy so far with a few random guys blowing through. Not much rain yet. Because they're the same age group. It could only be a possibility if Troy and Miles end up together. Although I can't see Robbie trading in her deck shoes for cowgirl boots. Eh, who knows? Oh yes...me. I know.

Robbie is a good sounding board for Miles but she knows when to speak up and when to stay quiet.

I didn't plan it this way. I don't have the patience to figure out what chapter will post on what day of the week. The timing of this was pretty sweet though lol.

Great observations. I like the way you think. If there's one takeaway from this chapter it should be the fact that Miles and Troy are behaving like adults now. The next chapter should be interesting. Being scared is an appropriate response.
