Seeing as how they faked Bill's death i wonder what became of sean? Was he tipped off and told to keep it a secret? Seems unfair that after his closest friend manages to escape death by a whisker he just goes poof, never to be seen again. I was always salty that sean and bill didn't end up together but i guess it would have thrown a wrench in this storyline 😂

I like loren better when he's fighting and not talking 😡 Aramis deserves better, i was really hoping she would return to kalian and talon after being released from anders' control. That trial was pathetic on the part of the kings judges, did they really think they had a chance? The gentry deserve to live on the streets for a winter to see just what they've wrought in the very kingdom they're supposed to enrich and help to prosper. I have absolutely loved this series and i hope it continues after this book, maybe a series of spin offs or a leap in time to 5 years later? Demi 😘

Considering the era axel met lenny in and Lenny's religious upbringing, combined with his evident simple mindedness, i could see this coming a mile away 😅 getting squished on the highway though I didn't see coming lol i thought it was going to be another hotel massacre. This chapter was just perfect, i was wondering if Samuel would become violent towards adam out of jealousy. The part at the end where Samuel apologized and axel forgave him was beautiful and a great way to finally close that chapter of Axel's past. Superb writing Mr. Grumpy 🐻
