Stories like this make one realize the world is so big, and so many places we have never heard of, but that human love can thrive anywhere. Fascinating start.
We have town halls with gay banners here in Spain, my college in Oxford now with a flag on the tower after I was humiliated as a student there, but the reality is that so many human beings are still suffering because of the terrible education their parents received and their negativity is a poison that, thankfully, love can heal. Be strong, friends.
There is a great Graham Norton tv interview with a pair of Kerry (sw Ireland) gold medal winners and to see the faces of the Hollywood “stars” not understanding a word. If I’m clever I will find the li;k!
These 50 shorts reveal the author’s wide-ranging skills of the writer’s art. I often give a rather “charitable” 5 stars to some efforts because I have the balls to risk writing, but this really is exceptional writing in the short format.
Hugely enjoyable to dip back in again and again.
It’s a beautiful, timeless, read. Over ten years old and yet could have been written yesterday. I love the way Aaron deals with his father…… No more hints,
Like @Mikiesboy I’m not the greatest fan of teen dramas but this is so nicely-written, so well paced, that it comes across as authentic. A very enjoyable story. Well worth dipping into. You won’t put it down!
Another challenge as I wake up - off to work on time or delayed gratification. This time instant gratification won the day! Such a delight, but challenge for Will being surrounded by these guys…… phew 😅
I’ve found this a fascinating discussion. And I am v pleased that I stepped back into the story and have been reading, and am now really enjoying, it on its own terms. I very much enjoy your comments @MichaelS36, thank you.
