The revelation about the drug use does make Papa’s actions make more sense not that it excuses them completely. Yeah, if I were Davey my entire family assuming I’d side with my rapist dad would anger me to a whole other level. Glad to see things progressing at a nice rate though to be honest I was a little surprised Davey didn’t question Brian’s past homophobic actions considering he told him a story about how much he loved his gay uncle. I mean I fully think Davey would understand if Brian told him it was somewhat out of anger toward his uncle’s partner and how he died yet I’d still expect some questions about it considering the conversation makes him sound accepting of gay people yet his past actions wildly contradict it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ It’s very touching to see Trevor come to make amends with Brian though I thought it’d be Brandon who reached out to Brian first as I kinda expected Trevor to be the more whipped of the two. Slowly things are looking up for Brian & Davey though there’s still Sean as well as Davey’s cousin who’s name I sadly can’t remember to worry about. I also can’t recall if Trevor’s injury occurred in the original timeline or the Do Over as either way it’s still possible so that’s a concern. Brian may decide if it happened originally not to try to stop it and in David Sr’s situation how things unfold are the result of his actions so while yes he still could become a better person is that an obligation of Brian’s to try to achieve? I think Brian will mostly focus on his relationship with Davey and the dirty bomb that prompted his Do Over. Part of me thinks he’d once again try to stop 9/11 but considering how spectacularly their efforts failed before he might find it pointless to try.

This chapter evokes a lot of feelings as like Craig I obviously feel that what Justin did was terrible but it’s hard to feel anything beyond pity at this point as nobody deserves what he went through. Initially I thought Jared felt some guilt since he let Justin go but then the whole thing with Ryan makes me think not. Obviously guilt doesn’t necessarily prevent someone from having sex plus it’s a way to vent emotions yet it clearly implies at the very least Jared feels no guilt cheating on Thomas with Ryan now instead of Justin and his overall demeanor just shows that he’s content as well as self-centered. While I’m not saying he has feelings for Ryan their interactions makes me think he likely sees Ryan as more exciting than Thomas as well as potentially more compatible if only sex wise so I’m wondering if Jared has just decided to move on rather than return to the life his actions essentially destroyed. I am beyond surprised that he didn’t even remotely threaten Justin to keep him quiet as he didn’t seem like the type to leave loose ends but it makes some sense “if” he’s truly not planning to return. Thomas has clearly fallen for Jared in every sense considering when Craig reveals Justin had said Jared raped him Thomas replied that “maybe” Justin misunderstood them wrestling or after sort of reconciling the idea he said he couldn’t even imagine what might have happened between them…which was um Jared raped Justin. I mean I completely understand him hoping that it wasn’t true…but who would mistake wrestling for rape? Admittedly that was a Hail Mary of a hope that I suppose he couldn’t help having considering how much he cares for Jared. 🤷🏻‍♂️ In previous chapters there were various comments indicating plenty thought Thomas was a skilled detective, was suspicious of Jared, likely was on some level aware of what has been going on, etc. so it’s somewhat shocking to see how little Thomas has truly known considering even when they learned they’d been lied to about the previous trip he only assumed they were having innocent fun at gay clubs. On a weird side topic clearly I overanalyze things as while I don’t believe he remotely meant anything wrong by it Craig essentially telling Justin to calm down would piss me off if I were him. I mean, you tell your boyfriend you were raped and he repeatedly says “Ok, now don’t get worked up again,“….wtf? Definitely not the best thing to say at that time just saying.

The verdict was thankfully just and the proposal was a very sweet way to end the chapter. I will say there’s a fair chance Mayson will get out early. I feel if he can show the parole board how incompetent his lawyer was being as well as any remote chance he was purposely trying to tank the case that it would potentially help to garner him some sympathy increasing his chances at parole. The man in the back more than likely is a relative of Mayson but some part of me wonders if they’re related to why he hates jocks as it would be interesting to have a tiny connection to Mayson’s backstory sitting in the courtroom. Mayson needs serious help as while it doesn’t excuse his actions I suspect he might have been raped himself or at the least physically abused considering all of his hatred.

Eh, this is in a sense giving Marcie more credit than she deserves as it’s implying she’s remotely sane. She’s clearly vindictive and somewhat unhinged so I doubt she’d need to think they were in a relationship to want to hurt Davey. If you have to add any sense of coherence to her actions it’d more likely be that Brian is spending time with anyone except her and isn’t miserable at their breakup. She wants him to suffer and she’s willing to hurt others to achieve that. Brian on some level worried it might have been Brandon and/or Trevor is somewhat telling as while he desperately hopes it wasn’t them he seems to think their capable of it which doesn’t bode will for the friendship being reignited in this timeline. Hopefully they will see the light and stop letting their girlfriends dictate their lives as their about as whipped as Brian was. I can understand Davey’s family being upset not to mention the physical pain his mom is in but they’re taking it out on the wrong person. In some ways Papa angers me more now that it’s been made clear that he wants a better relationship with Davey yet still treats him so horribly as that’s worse to me than how oblivious the others seem to be at how badly they treat Davey. I can’t imagine what Davey is going through as it’s like an emotional pinball as he has to hate his father for what he did to Jenny plus we know despite Davey’s claims David Sr was physically abusive to him at times yet despite all that he loves him as it’s his dad plus regardless of what he’s done I can understand it hurting to hear his dad continuously be insulted & badmouthed. Admittedly I can’t find fault with anything they said as it is all his fault but that doesn’t make it any easier to hear.

Hmm Mark better wrap that or he might become a dad way sooner than he surely wants to considering how the previous timeline unfolded. 😂 Papa could be a stubborn mule about some things in the previous timeline and I’d be more than pissed if I were him yet his attitude is beyond the pale. He jumps to conclusions and unfairly punishes Davey accordingly who’s busy working hard to put food on the table. 🤦🏻‍♂️ This timeline is a huge mess and yeah while things could definitely improve going forward it’s beyond sad knowing how good the last timeline was as it shows how much better things could have been.

Glad to see Eddie is feeling better and seems to be taking everything in stride. Can’t say the attitude of some of the psych aides thrill me but I can understand how such a job could get to them. He’s pretty spot on with his description of Syl’s mental state, though while he doesn’t seem too bothered I find it sad he hasn’t seen any of his siblings in a while nor will anytime soon if ever again. One of them might contact him down the road but out of sight out of mind.

Damn Jared to hell as I never expected him to rape Justin despite how horrible of a person he continuously seemed to be. 😯 I mean holy…he even hid a cable, with the obvious preplanned intent to use it to rape Justin, in his ass. Given what happened I’m reluctant to talk badly about a victim not to mention I don’t like agreeing with Jared on anything especially given what he did yet Justin’s comments don’t remotely ring true. As Jared said Justin didn’t show any guilt nor remorse after they sobered up only to have sex again, when they took the trip, when they had sex in the bathroom, or when they kissed in public pretending it was a joke. I then recall Thomas making some comment when they initially returned subtly digging at Justin for leaving Craig without help where Justin was very dismissive about Craig as if he didn’t care at all and then of course there was the more recent comment where he said he was jealous of Andy & Dean moving in together which makes no sense for him to mean Craig since that’s their living situation already, so clearly he meant he wanted to move in with Jared. I’m not doubting he’s feeling some guilt but overall I’d say it’s a slow burn if not a very sudden development. Some dark cynical part of me seriously doubts Justin’s resolve would have lasted until the trip was over if things had gone forward with Jared merely trying to tempt him. I’m curious how this will play out but I’m betting if nothing else Jared will threaten to pin their sperm donor’s murder on Justin if he even thinks about telling anyone as he’s clearly one who plans ahead. Nice revelation with Thomas being able to see Jared’s credit card charge as clearly that is major red flag and the suspicions about the photos makes complete sense. On one hand I get it as many wouldn’t necessarily think about two brothers cheating on their boyfriends with each other yet it was still a surprise to learn Thomas & Craig’s belief of what is going on was kinda wholesome as despite how out of the norm the situation is I expected one of them to have thought they were being cheated on even if they assumed they were cheating on them with strangers rather than with each other. On a completely different note it seems kinda blasé considering all that’s happened since then yet Jared’s comment about Juanito being and the native culture sounds somewhat transphobic & racist. He’s a character who is slowly revealed to be worse and worse, though I’m not sure how he can top raping Justin yet I wouldn’t put it past him at this point.

Brian has a hard road ahead of him but at least he has allies in his parents. I can understand his jealousy but he’s got to understand that while Davey may now see him as a friend it doesn’t negate all of the homophobic insults & actions he’s done in the past as of course Davey is not at the moment going to let on that he’s remotely interested in Brian as there’s no reason for him to not expect a negative reaction. Thankfully the game of truth or dare in my opinion somewhat showed Brian is miraculously no longer homophobic as in the past he likely would have very angrily refused to kiss a guy. Going forward this may encourage Davey to be more open about his attraction to Brian but then another hurdle is Davey is a bit promiscuous, which there’s nothing wrong with but that could lead to him initially seeing any potential hookup with Brian as purely sexual with no strings attached while Brian on the other hand would likely see it as hope for a relationship with him. In that sense it’s good Brian plans to take things slow yet they keyword is “plans” as he has seen for himself how powerful his teenage hormones can be.

I’m glad Virginia put her foot down rather than allowing chaos to reign. Clearly Bernard needs to realize he’s no Niles. 🙄 Justin isn’t being very subtle with his comment about being envious of Andy & Dean and I have no doubts that Craig has plenty of doubts right now. On a lighter note Andy & Dean’s plans to move into together was very sweet. I’m curious if Jared is excited about the potential trip because he plans to find an excuse to ditch hoping Thomas will go without him or if he’s hoping to somehow swing bringing Justin along(more likely instead of) as the only thing I am certain about is that Jared has no interest in a trip with his actual boyfriend. I’m curious at the future employment of Jared & Thomas as with Jonathan planning on retiring I’m not sure what position he’d give Jared while Thomas may go back to his previous job. The hint at what will occur in the next chapter makes you think it’s about our…lovely brothers but it may very well be referring to the fixing our dear Fixer did. I suppose we’ll have to wait to find out.

Wow, poor Ed keeps being dragged through the ringer. Part of me is very very unhappy he was given electroshock therapy again considering how bad it messed him up before but it sounds like that was the only option available considering how bad his latest break from reality was. Mommy dearest is far from my favorite person but admittedly she confuses me sometimes. Part of me wants to despise her because none of Ed’s family visited him and likely she was the reason except now we’ve learn of E3’s death. There’s a chance, admittedly a small one based on her previous actions, lack of action, and interactions with Ed, that his family didn’t visit because that would surely bring up the question of where E3 was which might be information they were afraid Ed couldn’t handle. Then there’s Uncle Ted who would be unlikely to know about Ed if his…dear sister hadn’t told him and Ed moving to Wyoming might be her idea. On one hand it would get Ed far away which might be her motivation yet it sounds like it would be good for Ed so it’s hard to know her reasoning. Of course this whole plan might have been E3’s idea as far as we know as I don’t want to give old Syl too much credit. Poor Ed has all these problems already and then we’ve got the problem of Frankie. It’s hard to be certain if Ed is upset about Frankie because of him essentially raping him regardless of how Frankie might not have intended it that way or if some part of Ed is confused over the fact he might be as he put it homosexual. Likely I’d think it could be a mix of both as the whole Frankie situation seems to have really thrown Ed for a loop. This story has me pessimistic and suspicious of everyone as while Ted seems like a perfectly nice guy with good intentions Ed has the worst luck imaginable so some part of me wouldn’t be surprised if Ted wasn’t as nice as he seems. I hope dearly that my jaded outlook is unwarranted as Ed needs something good to happen in his life especially now that he’s lost E3 which was his only support.

Damn, I forgot about Uncle Rich. I can’t imagine how Brian must feel since an unforeseen result of the previous Do Over saved him and now Brian essentially erased that. Missy/Marcie being pregnant would be major twist but as timeline wise that wasn’t “supposed” to happen yet thankfully I can’t logically see how it could come to pass. I think Brian’s being a little sloppy dropping the bomb that he knows about Brandon & Trevor as well as his sudden revelation that he might start dating guys as it could have unforeseen ramifications. I can of course understand him being thrown for a loop at learning Davey has had sex with Trevor & Brandon as I’m sure Davey wouldn't have necessarily been eager to tell him about all of his previous sexual experiences especially with people they know. Brian has a lot of work to do if he wants to try to salvage even a tiny sliver of the life he used to have with Davey especially given Davey’s academic standing.

I’m very confused about the whole situation. From why I can tell the bomb went off in Brian’s timeline and then Sean & Brian used the program to undo/prevent all time travel to restore the timeline to how it was pre-time travel expecting it to be better yet it seemed to result in worse timeline so now Brian has gone back to change it. What really confuses me is there’s no real explanation as to what he’s changing, except the fact he & Davey never get together. I’m guessing that’s the sole reason he went back to this particular time period as otherwise I’m beyond lost. Feels like this Do Over is missing a lot of context and kinda just throws the readers into the deep end. This is going to be beyond complicated as we have Davey’s situation with his dad, Sean’s situation with his “family”, and Davey’s cousin’s situation where he was being raped that Brian may not even know about not to mention the unpredictable deaths that occurred when Davey intervened in previous Do Overs. Brian is much more of an outsider than Davey was in terms of his ability to impact these events so sadly in this new timeline realistically I’m not certain everything would be likely to turn out as well as they did when Davey intervened the last time and there could be some major negative impacts of Brian’s attempt to change things reminiscent of Davey’s previous attempts. Also thinking back paraphrasing & summarizing Davey’s comments Brian is a very thorough researcher who essentially makes skilled judgements yet is slow to act due to his desire to be thorough. That’s a double edged sword in this situation as thinking carefully is pretty essential in this case yet if he waits too long to act due to wanting to thoroughly analyze every situation it could come back to bite him.

Jonathan’s attempt at conveying his feelings is very sweet and Bernard is beyond hilarious especially when Jonathan asked him to take the photos. Lachlan indeed has his work cut out for him. 😂 I’m definitely curious about Andy’s major purchase and Craig’s major sale, though the latter is predictable “if” it is what is expected.

I… I can’t even express my anger at this piece of trash and that’s putting it beyond lightly. I’m curious how this so called lawyer got access fo Hunter’s private texts that were not sent to Mayson as that sounds highly illegal.

Wyatt’s comment about being on Tyler’s side and seeming to recognize him can mean multiple things. On one hand it could be as impossible as it sounds that Tyler is in fact some kind of double agent, it could be that Wyatt’s mind was warped by the memory wipe somehow allowing him to remember a distorted version of Tyler, it could be that his memory wasn’t wiped and this is some plan to sow distrust between Zeke and Tyler, or finally it could be a variation of the previous where Wyatt’s memorIes were indeed wiped yet some method was used to implant false memories and/or a mental suggestion so he’d act as if he knows Tyler. This situation is beyond crazy.

Tyler has a logical point as anyone being armed with lethal weapons during a supposed fake mission is ridiculous and also um the guns are located where? That’s a terrible security layout. Is G simply a fool or is there a method to his madness? I’m betting it’s a mix of both.

A very sweet ending but I agree with @travlbug as to summarize it Davey & David Sr are both stubborn to the point of stupidity on the worst issues. Davey refuses to do anything but plead guilty while David Sr disapproves of his own son being pardoned. Don’t even mention the fact at least part of his reasoning for not wanting him pardoned by his own admission was politically motived as his pardoning him or even being happy he was pardoned would have potentially reflected badly on him. This shows to me that despite how much David Sr changed for the better at his core he’s still an...I’ll keep it pg. Davey overall seemed very happy but his comment about his own actions coming back to bite him in the end in terms of his next job and something about the way Brian’s statement about him taking the job being literally described as an order doesn’t sit well with me. Perhaps the meaning is that it is what Davey is meant to do despite his not necessarily wanting to but over time Davey ended up in various jobs he literally stated he never wanted to do in this timeline as well as to an extent seems forced into those positions. Regardless of him not wanting those jobs he seems to be content and happy which is beyond good so I suppose all’s well that ends well.

You know in a sense I understand where David Sr is coming from but it still seems beyond heartless. Yes, nobody is above the law but is it illegal to reveal documents that “don’t exist”? I mean even now Bush is claiming the documents are fake so...did Davey reveal classified information if it’s not “legit”? Also, I could see this backfiring on David Sr in a political sense as how would someone look who says his son did the right thing but is resigned to let him as well as seemingly insure he goes to prison? Overall I’d guess that if the documents are proven legit that public sentiments could sway things so Davey gets a light sentence as I’m sure many would not want him locked away for years but I expect him to be charged with something especially with his own dad supporting such action. In the end I can’t imagine Davey not acting in such a situation and I’m not sure what other recourse there was. I do agree with the idea that Davey’s being identified as the source might have added more credibility to the documents but I’m not certain it was altogether necessary. In a sense his being identified as the source is a mixed bag as on one hand he’s the son of the opposition as well as a Democrat so his revealing what he claims is damning evidence against the Republican president would likely be seen by people as heavily biased but his own father condemning his actions surely added credibility to his statements & documents.

This chapter was a mixed bag as everyone seems so happy and seeing Davey & Brian as parents was very sweet. On the other hand we’ve got them living through 9/11 and I can’t imagine the pain & frustration at having all this evidence yet nobody will listen. Sadly this story seems fairly realistic if perhaps slightly darker than reality as there’s no way you can look at this without concluding that the government, especially the Bush administration, were purposely covering it up with their goal being to essentially insure it happened. I mean it’s not any better that they were potentially ignoring warnings made by David Sr just because they have a grudge against him but I can’t believe giving all of the evidence they were supplied that they didn’t purposely look the other way. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Poor Eddie never gets a break. I have to wonder if this is linked to his day out with Frankie as well as their recent...interactions. I mean Frankie told him he was happy just being friends but despite that Eddie was worried his presence would upset Frankie’s parents seemingly on the grounds Eddie would be seen as his boyfriend which hints at on some level Eddie may have not believed Frankie that they were just friends. Of course given Eddie’s memory lapses it could just be that he forgot Frankie had told him they’d be just friends from now on. Then Eddie seemed very upset at the apparent suppressed/repressed memories of Charles despite that as we know he had very little interaction with him. My meaning is it must have been some vibe he got from Charles or maybe on some level the concept he was having sex with Frankie that bothered Eddie as thankfully nothing seemed to happen between him and Charles. Can’t help but assume all of this tipped Eddie over the edge.

Everything seems to be going beyond great...except the government jobs. Admittedly Davey seems happy and obviously it would be wonderful if he could somehow prevent 9/11 yet I can’t help reflect on how above all Davey did not want a government/military job in this timeline. I mean I get that he can do a lot of good with his memories and skills yet it still seems a shame that he essentially ended up doing exactly what he said he didn’t want to do. As far as David senior goes I’m not surprised that the Republicans didn’t want him and the Democrats did as many his stances do seem to more align with the Democratic Party. Also unlike Reagan he doesn’t in general simply hate all Democrats, which is sadly the stance many Republicans take, so his being willing to swap parties isn’t that surprising either. I’m sure he can do a lot of good going forward though this once again reminds us how much he’s changed. Unless something drastic happens I don’t predict another Do Over and if one does happen it surely can’t be Davey who goes back. I mean he would have to go back even further from what we know of how it works and his underdeveloped brain clearly can’t handle it. We might get a POV shift where it’s Brian that goes back as I could see him either volunteering or being selected by the government considering his credentials. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Poor Romel is going to have to get used to being a cat dad. Looks like Craig’s jealousy and suspicions about Jared & Justin is spilling out not that I blame him. I’m not sure if I’m buying Craig’s explanation for his idea to potentially sell/franchise CWB being a spur of the moment idea as part of me thinks his suspicions about Justin could be influencing his decision. There’s also the fact Craig was never enamored by the sexual/adult entertainment part of the catering business so I could see him now that he’s also running a restaurant wanting to distance himself from that especially when you take into account how he seemed reluctant to talk about that aspect during the interview. Realistically I could see them separating the catering business from the restaurant and Craig offering to let Justin buy him out when he eventually realizes/confirms Justin has been cheating on him. I don’t even want to speculate on the hints at the next chapter as @Wombat Bill could be throwing a red herring at us as the most obvious conclusion is seldom the right one. I mean A parting and a new beginning could be referencing relationships changing, CWB going in a new direction, or a new haircut. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ugh, that’s politics for you but in a way while I feel sorry for Davey it was sort of the kick in the pants he needed as surely he’ll be happier now that he doesn’t feel like he has to hide his relationship with Brian. Life often throws you curveballs that force your hand so it’s very realistic. In the end the only thing that seems unrealistic is Republican politician gaining votes over his pro gay stance as today they’d be yelling that he is a RINO. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I agree that Sean and Brandon’s venture is risky for possibly multiple reasons. It might be a stretch yet as theorized by @CincyKris it could be that someone will adapt this technology for time travel and possibly without even knowing that was the original purpose as it could simply inspire some scientist to develop time travel. There’s also the more likely chance that someone in the U.S. or a foreign government who’s aware of Davey’s warning to Reagan about time travelers and by extension his being a time traveler would be keeping an eye on everyone Davey knows meaning they might find Sean & Brandon’s technology a little suspicious. I also want to also recall in a previous chapter a comment was made by Brian that not all of the foreign time travelers had been stopped/killed so such a person might especially notice Sean & Brandon’s technology is “unusual.” In either case I could see one if not both of them being kidnapped, like Sean was before, in an attempt to force them to build a time machine.
