Interesting story so far and really hooks you. Cheryl seems to be a bit all over the place as in one moment she seemed to be saying she essentially resented Roan’s existence while in the next moment we learn Roan essentially disappeared from their lives for years leaving Jared heartbroken and Cheryl pissed off at Roan for disappearing. I mean I get it sorta as it’s not like you can’t feel conflicting emotions yet it comes off as kinda incoherent upon first read. I also find the humorous look Cheryl supposedly gives Roan when he remarks that Jared loves their son as strange as if there’s some inside joke he doesn’t know about. Can’t wait to see where this goes.

🤔 The only thing that concerns me about this job change is the drama it could unleash upon Thomas and Jared’s relationship. Thomas seemed apprehensive about Jonathan wanting Jared to work for him as he was expecting it to be sexual and while Virginia might be right that he wouldn’t seek out a straight man for that he is well aware that Jared is bisexual so I could see him asking him for more than security work. Thomas tried to stay professional and to an extent managed it yet deep down I don’t think he was ever happy about Jared having sex with Virginia yet in some way the fact she was a woman might have helped a little. If Jonathan ends up expecting some off the clock “work” from Jared I could see that causing some high blood pressure. 🤦🏻♂️ Most times Jonathan can come off as kind & understanding just like his wife yet I recall how his character was initially introduced so we know he has the potential to be demanding, controlling, and manipulative depending on the situation. Hopefully this is just paranoia on my part.

Not surprised at Susan’s attitude in the least though I am disappointed at the reaction of some of the other parents even though I suppose I can understand why they’d be unnerved. Davey is being a little naive but I suppose love will do that to you. Seems like the aids crisis & concentration...ahem quarantine has likely shaped Brandon & Brian’s outlook for the worst. Deep down in theory they “should” all still be the same people yet I dunno as some people are very skilled at suppressing themselves only to invert their feelings expressing them as homophobia. I hope Davey doesn’t get his heart broken but more than likely even “if” Brian does come to see the light it will likely be a long, painful journey for Davey. The arrival of alternate timeline Sean was a twist but a good one as Davey kinda needs someone who he can truly relate to.
-
I can understand Davey’s mixed emotions but ugh his life is going to get even more chaotic going forward. First of all obviously there’s going to be a period of mourning over those they’ve lost which will likely hit Davey hard as he will blame himself and it won’t help that his mother will likely blame him as well. I can’t even imagine how she’ll treat him going forward yet I can even imagine her seeking a divorce as she may lay some blame on her husband as well since he’s in on the secret and supporting Davey. Then there’s the way things will change going forward now that he’s revealed his secret to more people around him not to mention those moving from Modesto as who knows what drama that could bring. And finally we have Brian coming who may be a completely different person than the Brian Davey remembers not to mention it’s possible that his knowing Davey is a time traveler could result in him having similar thoughts as Davey’s mother in the sense he could find Davey’s existence unnatural not to mention if he learns Davey was married to some alternate version of him he could find the whole situation too weird to handle. The ripples created by every action Davey has taken makes the outcome too chaotic to predict.

Sandcastles aren’t very sturdy nor have a good defense which doesn’t bode well for this situation. Davey just wants to have a few moments of a normal life yet the way things are going that seems impossible. As for dear old mum...silence is golden so I’m going to try not to say too much about her as she’s on my short list right now. 😤 On a different track I feel sorry for David with how he’s harboring unrequited feelings for Davey, though part of me also feels somewhat sorry for Davey in the sense that while I haven’t read the original story, which is why many readers likely assume they’ll be reunited, I’m concerned he’s saving himself for a relationship that might not materialize. Time travel is complicated and at least at one point he was seemingly just assuming he could get back with Brian easily despite the two of them having almost zero contact in this timeline. It’s going to break his heart if Brian ends up falling in love with someone else in the meantime not to mention he commented once something that made me think Brian was perhaps deep in the closet prior to them getting together so all of the AIDS quarantine business and general homophobia could potentially lead to Brian not wanting to come out of the closet to date Davey if/when they meet again. It’s just one big spiderweb of chaos and confusion.

Wow, that was cruel of Lucy yet in the end she was secretly helping Jason as that was his sole goal in going out with her. Now he doesn’t have to worry about it going any farther as she has made it plain she’s not really interested in him, though her gossiping could lead to other girls asking him out which he might be too scared to refuse lest it make him look gay. The closeted life is a complicated dance.

A fool and his money are soon parted and it couldn’t happen to a better fool. Yes, Rick is losing his business & money too yet he’s not really happy there so overall I don’t really see him as losing much. Daddy dearest is getting exactly what he deserves and I HOPE Rick really rubs it in. Now we know why Irene was so angry because I bet she was aware the business was put at stake on this deal and probably thought Rick was in on it. Happy to see Rick come out to Jerry and even happier to see Jerry was so accepting. Now we just need Gus to show up. Oh and Rita Skeeter couldn’t have found a better match as it only seems fitting that she’d marry a two-faced creep as they have so much in common.

Chapter 148 One of Those Days
NimirRaj commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 148 One of Those Days
Well when things are going well for Robbie they usually quickly turn into hell so I can’t say I’m surprised. I agree with @Wesley8890 that Don will insist Robbie “do the right thing” and marry Stephanie. Nicola was starting to bond with Robbie after a while as well as was coming off likable at one point yet to be blunt while I ask that you please excuse my language it seems clear that she’s been a bitch lately. I think in the long run Robbie would make a good father and I think he’ll do right by his child, short of getting married to a girl he doesn’t love, yet this is definitely going to cause him many problems. Nathan fainting is priceless and they haven’t discussed the possibility of kids so I don’t know how he’ll respond to the idea of Robbie being a dad so only time will tell. -
On paper and only on paper I can on some level understand the reasoning behind such action partially because a relative of mine contracted HIV from someone who concealed that they were infected, though that doesn’t change the fact that such action is beyond wrong. Yes, AIDS is terrible and preventing it from spreading is important yet imprisonment is not the answer. Even the forced testing or more precise the registering of people for testing has the potential to backfire as I mean they’re essentially compiling a list of gay and bisexual individuals that could possibly end up in the hands of homophobic hate groups. I could easily see this information leaked especially a few years down the road when the internet really gets going. I am glad Davey is being allowed to tour these “facilities” though I can’t imagine forced imprisonment ever being an enjoyable experience regardless of the amenities. As far as Davey getting caught goes...he’s royally screwed and not in the fun way. Derek already seemed kinda suspicious despite how ridiculous the idea of Davey being a time traveler should have been to him so I doubt he’d believe any sort of attempt at denying what they overheard. Only time will tell but I think these 3 are going to be let in on the secret.

Chapter 15 - Changing Tides
NimirRaj commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Chapter 15 - Changing Tides
Penn Penn Penn never say “What’s the worst that could happen?” as God smirks when people say that. 🤦🏻♂️ Seems obvious neither is truly over the other, though Nash likely thinking Penn is dating Jason is not someone to encourage cheating, especially after he was cheated on, so he’s unlikely to make any moves himself. This is going to be an interesting vacation. -
Chapter 14 - Starting Over
NimirRaj commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Chapter 14 - Starting Over
I see both sides of things but I think overall Nash made the best decision. He spent years blindly devoted to Lee so now he needs to focus on his own happiness. Penn was so obsessed with one person he married a girl despite being gay and never even had a desire to date anyone, hookup with anyone, etc. In hindsight their relationship developed too fast and seems unhealthy. Penn wasn’t broken by the breakup but was broken before then. Also while admittedly Nash jumped to conclusions Penn hid the truth from him intentionally and to some extent unintentionally, started avoiding him, and just overall didn’t communicate properly with Nash despite that by then he should have known him well enough to know he needs to have things explained to him concisely & transparently as if you expect him to read between the lines he’s unlikely to come to the right conclusions. -
While their relationship is...unique Cam is Penn’s best friend so I could see him easily being happy for her without the child being his. He’s told Nash that Cam sleeps around a lot so I think it’s highly more probably that the baby isn’t his though based on his description of Cam I’m shocked she’s excited to be a mother. She just doesn’t come off as the mother type and maybe this is a sign she’s ready to settle down...with ya know a straight guy. A big plot twist would be if it’s Paul’s 😂 but there’s no way that’d be the case. Penn should have told Nash about this as by now he should know due to his apparent low self-esteem Nash is very likely to jump to the worst case scenario when finding out something like this. Edit/Addition: Even if the baby were to be Penn’s that doesn’t really change anything, though I suppose there are some guys who would stay married for the sake of the child. Still, I highly doubt Penn would feel any sort of obligation to remain in an unhappy marriage as being married to Cam isn’t necessary for him to be a good dad.

I have no words as Zoltan is just... He makes “daddy dearest” look good by comparison and that’s saying something. 🤦🏻♂️

Chapter 6 - Trying to Cope
NimirRaj commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Chapter 6 - Trying to Cope
🤔 I have no reason to doubt Penn but I just don’t get the hushed whispers as well as the overall vibe if they didn’t know about Lee. It’s a not a large town so I figured once when Nash was out of town Lee’s secret was discovered by one of them without him ever realizing it though if that’s not the case I’m kinda lost. Some people you just don’t like so them not liking him doesn’t mean they knew he was cheating yet it’s just the overall way they were being so intense about getting Nash to spend time with them as well as how they seemed kinda secretive just made you think they knew what was going on. 🤷🏻♂️ I’m officially confused. -
Chapter 5 - The New House is No Home
NimirRaj commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Chapter 5 - The New House is No Home
Over 2 years!! I knew he was likely cheating but I never expected it to have gone on so long. I wish Nash had taken screenshots of the messages(2 years worth would admittedly have taken forever and I know he was too upset to think of this.) and sent them to his phone as I’m not remotely buying the blackmail story. I mean even if true it’s a pathetic excuse yet I think it’s more than likely an even more pathetic lie. Nash is only going to get his heart broken even more by giving Lee this remote chance at reconciliation and I’m kinda pissed at the Knotts. I mean it seems obvious they knew about Lee’s affair yet didn’t tell Nash. Admittedly Nash had put Lee on a pedestal so he might not have believed them yet that’s not a good enough reason not to tell him if they truly consider him their friend. The description of the story seems to indicate Nash loses more than just his marriage so I’m worried Lee and/or Paul are going to destroy his reputation & job. -
Lee’s obsession with the Knott’s really annoys me and like @84Mags I automatically jumped to the idea Lee was cheating on Nash with Paul and that’s why Paul has been so confrontational & rude towards Nash when he was first introduced, though I don’t think I’d have come to that conclusion if I didn’t know going in to the story that their relationship wasn’t going to last. I kinda let my suspicions about Paul drift to the side as he hasn’t been mentioned since and honestly logically since Lee is apparently out of town a lot it seems more reasonable to assume he’d be cheating with someone a little farther from home than the local guy you’d think he’d rarely have time to interact with. Still, Paul does seem like a likely candidate just because his attitude is supposedly out of left field as they were apparently once good friends and jealousy would make as much sense as any reason.
-
Ok, this is a great story but man the Knott’s are acting really suspicious. It feels like maybe the entire family pretty much is in on trying to play match-maker between Nash & Penn despite them both being taken. I mean it definitely seems like it’s more than just Ryan who’s in on whatever is going on and despite both guys being married it feels like maybe Penn’s marriage isn’t all it seems. Something about his comment Abby his wife when drunk and just his attitude around Nash just screams that there’s more to the story. Even if Penn has an unhappy marriage or his marriage is perhaps a pretense to hide his sexuality Nash is seemingly in a happy marriage so if they are trying to play match-maker it’s kinda creepy/wrong. Admittedly while I don’t want to think badly of Lee some alarm bells have gone off making me wonder if he’s been cheating on Nash, though it’s unknown if even true how the Knott’s would know about it nor do I get them not just telling Nash if they do know something like that. Seems like an invisible spiderweb of drama is slowly entrapping an oblivious Nash. I may be jumping to conclusions but they’re definitely focused on getting Nash to spend time with them even if playing match-maker isn’t the goal and the scene with Abby being hushed as if she was about to reveal a secret has you spidey-sense tingling.

Ah, gossip in a small town is so...lovely. 🤦🏻♂️ Everyone often assumes and hears what they want to hear, except perhaps in Irene’s case as she definitely hates Rita Skeeter which may be why she’s upset as I doubt the news thrilled her. She also may have also heard about these plans for College Hill and could be upset at the idea of Rick being involved with such a plan. Ugh, daddy dearest is not going to be happy when he learns the truth about the engagement or lack thereof as I predict a long rant about how Rick lost his chance to be married to such a...woman not to mention in my experience people his age rarely like to be corrected about what social media tells and/or the incorrect assumptions they draw so I even predict he’ll consider Rick to be lying about not asking her to marry him perhaps claiming Rick is just trying to back out of it. 🙄 The theory Rita is getting hitched to Willy is a little wild...but honestly at this point the more outrageous the possibility the more likely it is to be true, though I wouldn’t put it past Rita to have just posted an outright lie hoping people would think it was Rick only to later come up with some lie about how the engagement to this mysterious person was called off.

Sun, Mon: Trent and Kayden
NimirRaj commented on mastershakeme's story chapter in Sun, Mon: Trent and Kayden
Damn, I really hate Mark. No wonder Kayden refers to him by his name and not something like dad as he’s beyond a poor excuse for one. I know he’s thankfully not physically abusive but he gives me the vibe he could easily become so if his children actually tried to stand up to him, though Kayden just did so with his refusal to allow him to remove the nipple rings. I wish Trent could grow a pair and gain some common sense. This fake dating isn’t working not to mention his “fake relationship” is with someone who clearly wants more than that which he seems blind to. I mean at the very least Maggie clearly based on precedent expects to have sex with him if not actually end up in a relationship with him so he should just call off this bit of fiction as the only thing it’s succeeding in doing is hurting Kayden. Trent also clearly has little self-control so placing himself at a party with alcohol, drugs, and a horny girl is just bad temptation for him. He slowly seems to be improving in the sense he clearly cares for Kayden and does feel guilty at the idea of cheating yet his fantasies about having a threesome with Lucas & Kayden as well as his desire to act on them in a sense seems to once again have him coming off as very self-centered as he does not really appear to be taking into consideration anyone else’s feelings on the matter. Sounds like Kayden “might” be ok with it but Lucas who has actual feelings for Trent might regret taking part in a purely sexual hookup as it might mess him up emotionally. Well I do love a story with lots of drama...but these people need therapy ASAP. -
Oof, I didn’t even think of that. To be fair to them Tyler’s actions “supposedly” weren’t suicidal exactly and previously he was using shards of a broken mirror so if he got desperate I’m sure he could find some way to harm himself even if they removed all the knives. I’m sure Corey is hopeful the anti-depressants will help him and his happy mood over something as simple as music, though I get where he’s coming from, is a positive sign. There hasn't been any recent mention of self-harm so hopefully Tyler is improving, though given all the recent stress I can easily imagine him returning to his method of “release”. I hope he’s able to resist any such impulses but removing any sharp knives definitely couldn’t hurt so “maybe” Zeke will wise up on that.

Giada and Jayden think they’re geniuses yet they’re often revealed to be utter fools. I mean who signs documents like that without reading them? I have my suspicions that David and possibly Eric had some interesting small print they should have read before signing. I’m curious if Javier could be Eric in a really good disguise yet I don’t know how realistic that theory is. I don’t really understand Kim’s fear of Jayden as he’s already revealed her dark secret to her children, though admittedly the public doesn’t know, and surely if she told Adrianna & Sergio the truth they could find some way to protect Adrianna as it would be especially better than she’s being protected right now. I mean he’s already tried to have Sergio killed and seems like the type who’d easily have Adrianna killed just for annoying him so I think forewarned is forearmed in this situation. Heck, I have to wonder about their overall lack of common sense though as surely they could rent somewhere to live and if I were Sergio, Adrianna, and Kim I wouldn’t want to be living in that house with these psychos. I understand it’s sort of a stance of defiance and honor that they don’t leave their home with Jayden, Giada, and Trevor shamelessly trying to take it over yet I don’t see it as a remotely safe atmosphere so they could have my house if it meant protecting my family.
-
I think Zeke’s point of view is likely that it’s unprofessional and probably against regulations for Zeke to be intimate with Tyler yet he also may be a little hesitant due to the whole situation with Wyatt. I mean we see how well that went and similarly it was someone he was only supposed to have a “working relationship” with...in the sense he was supposed to be fake dating him. 🤦🏻♂️ Still, I can’t blame Tyler for the conclusions he’s drawing nor for the whole situation driving him crazy. I can’t imagine not climbing the walls if I were in his position as he’s actually handling it better than I probably would.

Chapter 7: Puzzle completed, but still shambles
NimirRaj commented on Zuri's story chapter in Chapter 7: Puzzle completed, but still shambles
Wow, I’m very disappointed in Chase and Stella continues to confuse me. I mean if Gareth got seriously injured while protecting her why did she get so mad at him as if he was the devil himself when he didn’t stop her from being assaulted/bullied or why’d she get angry at him seemingly thinking him outing himself on video was just attention seeking? Logically I’d assume she doesn’t know, possibly due to her own injured state, that he was injured protecting her though I still can’t comprehend her intense anger towards him. I can definitely understand why he left home and I’m seriously wondering why he’d ever want to return. -
It’s almost a shame seeing Rick so happy because you just know something is going to happen to ruin his mood sooner rather than later. I’m hoping Gus will give him the courage he needs to stand up to “daddy dearest” and Rita Skeeter. Overall it was a very sweet chapter though at the end all I can think is those dang chickens need an electric chicken wire fence or something. 😂
-
Wow, he tried to kill them with a deadly snake and got killed himself. Now that’s karma for you. 🤦🏻♂️
