    I'm sure MB's pregnancy delayed it...I also think fear had something to do with it. I'm sure he was just looking for any excuse to postpone a possible rejection. Kids are hella smart. They're always watching.

    Granted, I live in a small town, but our local newspaper has a giant recycling bin. You can pull out stacks of newspapers for free. We do it every fall so we have fire starter.

    I agree. I think that is why I err on the side of acceptance when I write. Even if it’s fiction, it’s a little slice of happiness in a otherwise cruel world

    If I had to guess what countermand meant, I'd assume it's what kids do when you tell them to do something, and they counter your demands with something else.

    It's funny you say this because I'm always paranoid if my chapter is close to 6k words. I feel like people won't want to read it because it's too long.

    Like anything someone says, it could be derogatory if it’s meant with malice, which this isn’t. And this is coming from a surrogate lol. When asked, most surrogate will tell you that they’re just the oven of someone else’s egg and sperm. I’ve heard it and said it a million times. It’s actually more irritating when people assume you’ll become mentally unstable and unwilling to give back someone else’s child lol, which I think is why there is a preference to the term lady oven, because it helps others understand the process.
