This is a great article. There is so much power in formatting the story. Words, descriptions, and dialogue create a wonderful world, but formatting brings them all together. It gives the narrator a unique voice.

Yes, but in this case, E’s parents were fans of Jay, I can’t imagine they have any social media presence. In fact, it doesn’t appear anyone in this story does. So no one knows about Loren, sadly. also, Kbois is kind of obsessed with Chris Hemsworth IRL. And Jay has that blonde beefcake vibe. 1+1…

She would blow Jay up out of spite if that was the case. She doesn’t play by anyone’s terms but her own. Personally, I think she mentions Jay because deep, DEEP down, she respects me. I think we should have w a drinking game. Every time Jay is mentioned, 1 shot.

Kage just had AMAZING sex with E and then finds out there’s a chance they’ll be attached at the hip. I’m not surprised that Kage reacts with jealousy. The way he feels about E is kind of uncharted territory. He’s bound to run a little hot/cold as he comes to terms with how he feels. it’s kind of a packed chapter where that’s concerned. Let’s see how Kage handles it all. His deep seeded issues of always feeling like E deserves better is bound to rise to the surface

This assumes that Loren is 100% created in my own head… Ok, he wasn’t. James Middleton. Not Kate Middleton’s brother. He’s a is a fitness coach from the UK that does a lot of stuff on Instagram. Loren is definitely inspired by him. At least by James’ his body 🤤

Kage making them breakfast?? Well, that is sweet and goes against all the rules for being dark and brooding. Kage has a caretaker gene deep inside. Definite friction between Tyler and Kage. Jealousy? Protectiveness? I'm glad Tyler’s fully in the know. I have a feeling he’ll be a big player for E and he needs to know what he’s getting into. The dumbest part is this chapter is the end when Kage asks E if he wants it. OF COURSE HE WANTS IT YOU FRIGGIN IDIOT. We all want it to, so hurry up.

@imogene_arant in Silver and Gold what kind of trees do the faeries live in? When they’re partying it up for the full moon festivities, I’m trying to imagine full sized humans packed inside a tree, dancing lol. I have lost many hours to this.

I would have forgiven you eventually for not picking me….lol Charlie in SYWM. I thought he’d be a pretentious Frat boy the entire story but he completely morphed as he was written and ended up being a amazing, strong, and centered guy.

This is valid. A re-write would be a different level compared to a 'clean up'. I have no desire to re-write any of my old works. Which, now that I'm thinking about it, is probably the root of why I haven't touched them at all. Cleaning up grammar could quickly snowball into a re-write lol. As a reader, I've never been a big fan of re-write. There's a story on here that I love and have read many times. It got abandoned and then the author started posting a re-written version from scratch. It was a bummer because I was attached to the original. Was some of the re-writes better? Sure, they had matured as a writer, but I didn't like it. -

I don't think it's something you need to over think either. If you have time and want to clean up grammar and such, do it. If you want to leave it as-is as a testament, that's great, too. There is no right or wrong here, just what works for you. I've found it fascinating to go back and see just how much my style has changed. If I decided to clean it up, I wouldn't be able to look back and see how many times I used 'that' in my other stories. The only thing I did clean up, with a simple search and replace and no regrets, I might add, is the sheer volume of exclamation points. It's embarrassing really. I don't want to talk about it.
