I have been following the on-line comments of many different people in reference to the Trump Impeachment Trial and am amazed at the narrow-mind-ed-ness of many commentators. God knows I am no supporter of Trump and am pleased to see his lies and mis-statements being used against him. The man is obviously suffering from a psychological complex, in my opinion, and well-deserves the harsh analysis to which he is being subjected. To me,the best possible conclusion would be for him to be barred from public (governmental) office for life. World and American opinion is gradually moving in that direction, thank you, Lord. But this site is no place to display my opinions on American politics, so I will appologize and shut my mouth. The point I am trying to make is that whatever it may be called, on-line-comment, social media, or whatever; it can bring with it either high praise or devastating condemnation, either one of which may or may not be deserved, and once expressed, sticks with the person/object forever for good or evil.

As usual the pacing is superb, Alex absolutely should be parked at the mountain command post as he is the central brains/direction behind the war against the Cat people and is too valuable to send out in offensive sorties (much like the General Officers in WW2). The disclosure of each new cadre of youngsters certainly adds spice to the narrative, as each discovery not only adds new youths for the defenders to care for, but also adds new talents. Alex is quite right in being cautious, however in integrating these, because it would be quite possible for the Catii(?) to introduce spies into the new cadre of youngsters, using threats of massive retaliation to persuade them to sabotage the defenders.

The complications of Euro-Indian politics are confusing to someone, like me, who has not studied them in their youth. I assume that you will clarify them somewhat as your story proceeds. I do appreciate your comments about the relationship between the Russians and the French, though those seem to change almost daily! Perhaps the Swedish representative will be able to explain things to Granger in a neutral way that even an uneducated Yank like me, can understand. I do know from my light-weight readings in history that the Russian Tsar bordered on insanity until his death. As long as it was only your siblings, no that is not right either – people should not use fear of any knd to encourage growth in the young. Young people are not minature adults, they are constantly learning about how to interact with life and fear is a very poor tool to use in teaching. It seems to me that we have developed, what? A dicotomy here, Talon on the dark side, and Kalian a master of light. Apparently 'fire' and 'water' are the more common developed abilities and 'light' is unique, but there is definitly a balance here between Talon and Kalian. Taran should seek the help of his mother… mothers always know! Is that a terrible statement for a gay man to make. In my case, coming out to my father, I did not have a mother by that time, she had passed away, but my sister was my advocate with dad.

This may be the first time that Taran met with somebody he coild not beat with a puff of air. We must remember that, while he is a full-fledged superhero, he is very young and may need a little more seasoning before he meets the fire-man again.

It is interesting that even super families, especially super fathers, have some of the same problems as regular families. Mothers are often more acute, more responsive to the situations that arise than are fathers. Is that just the result of testosterone?
