from the at Snape character from that Snape character Iy would be a wonderful thing if the muggle world really had acquired the skills in the medical area that the Wizard World displayed in this chapter. They were doing treatments that we still are unable to do.

he was going to faint -- she was going to faint for anther year -- for another year you are way to optimistic -- you are way too optimistic Just as a matter on interest, and it was news to me also, the pre-dawn lightening condition spoken of in the story, is known to astronomers as 'morning twilight'. I grew up knowing that the period of light after sunset was known as twilight, but I had never heard that term applied to the pre-dawn sky. Astronomers, fussy people that they are have special terms for several lighting conditions about sunrise and sunset, they are Nautical Dawn, Civil Dawn, Sunrise, day, Nautical Sunset, Civil Sunset, Sunset, and Night. Each one of these terms is defined by the location of the center of the sun in relation to the horizon, starting at 18º below the horizon, then 9º below, then just when the rim of the sun rises above the horizon, with the evening elevations being just the same amounts below the earth's edge. While defined by astronomical terms they were first used during the days of the wind (sailing) navy in the 19th Century, 'morning nautical twilight' being defined as the visibility condition when the masts and spars of an enemy ship could just be distinguished by the lookout posted at the masthead.

You frequently use the nominative case with pronouns that should be in the objective case. In order to be sure which form of the pronoun 'I' or 'we' to use, just read the sentence without saying the noun that precedes it, it will usually become obvious that the nominate case is misused. As an example: 'made Neville and I take it.' If you take Neville out of the sentence, it reads 'made I take it'. That is obviously in error, it should read: 'made Neville and me take it', using the objective form of the pronoun. Then if you remove the noun, 'Neville', it would read 'made me take it. Obviously correct!!!! I would not even mention this, but it is a small error you commit frequently. Mister Will

Indomitable - Word of the Day - Mon Jun 15, 2020
Will Hawkins commented on Myr's blog entry in Writing World
Indomitable is a useful word, but it is a little hard to pronounce. The word for yesterday: 'struthious', I will have to admit, is one I have never heard of before and it is rare enough that it gets my spell checker all excited. To be introduced to a word with which I am unfamiliar is a rare event; I am a great one to cherish new words, sometimes to the confusion of my partner, to whom English is a second language, That is okay however, as he frequently confuses me with the use of his 'milk language', Portuguese! . -

How do you pronounce the 'cc' in Italian? Is the boyfriend's name (DelVekkio) or (DelVechio)?

Morgan Stanley, Inc. Is an investment firm headquartered at New York. It is probably the largest investment bank in the world. The official name of the company is just Morgan Stanley, no conjunction or additional punctuation. Its principal owner is Mitsubishi (about 28%).

I have read of the exact same incidents elsewhere on GA.

kissed him still not sure face --- kissed his still not sure face Pretty, if you’re into women. Which obviously, I wasn’t. . . . Do I detect the author slipping in a gay pun here? or was it all in your head or was it all in my head

could help but not be -- could not help but be It’s pretty well tapped -- I'm pretty well tapped It is very difficult to express any opinion about the aftermath of the 9-11 attacks without stepping over the line into a form of political commentary which is not allowed in 'Comments' by GA, so I will remain silent, saying only that much of the opinion about 9-11 is created on the part of the Congress of the US and is NOT religiously based.

A male child who, at his baptism is not given a middle name, may take the first name of his father as a middle name if he so chooses. (College of Heraldry). While this rule is spoken of as being a modern function of heraldry, it has been used often all the way from Roman times. In the same sense, but not as a formalized rule, a female may use her mother's maiden name as a middle name. My mother's baptismal name was Marjorie Carter, for passport uses she added Helen as a middle name as it was her mothers name.

This is the first story about the Dragon Riders of Pern I have read and, because of that, there is much confusion and misunderstanding pecking at the corners of my understanding. I wish it were possible for me to go back to the original series and read through it to gain an understanding of all of the terms and definitions with which I am faced, coming in this late into the world of Pern. As I continue to read, some of the terms become clear, but a lack of understanding of the basics of this mystical world weakens my enjoyment. Is there a way of moving back into the original series to follow these stories better? Oh, and I am still curious as to the length of a turn in non-Pern terms, is it the equivalent of a human year? I will have to admit, I last visited Niagra Falls many years ago. Then you did not need a passport to go to Canada, you could walk behind the falls and they had lights to illuminate the falls at night.

Wienerdog made a grammatical error, I know it is not yours, but it gives me chance to mention it to you so that you will never make the same mistake. "he does everything good." To do 'good' implies act in a charitable fashion, the correct expression is 'to do something well.' That means to do it with competence, not charitably.

When James become Jaimie does he become hi-me or jay-me? And Ritchie got pushed off a scaffold, not off the 'site'.

There are 4-5 small grammar errors in each chapter, but I am not going to ruin my appreciation of an interesting story by harping on them. I have an evil reputation as being the grumpy old troll who lives beneath the bridge that authors must walk bare-foot across on their way to publication and nipping at their bare toes. But where I do that, I do it as a help, not as a criticism. Old, yes that is true (87), grumpy, no, I deny that. Mister Will

Swath is the track left by a mower – maybe to use swab would be better. It means to stick a cotton tipped stick into the mouth and collect a sample. A swab can be used to confirm parentage, but most often to determine a history of drug usage, or, in the case of a pre-employment swab, the absence of drug usage. It would prove a prospective employee is 'clean' (not a drug user) and may be used prior to employment in a sensitive or secret environment.

As long as we are speaking about burials, let's share some facts about burial at sea and cremation. If you choose to be buried at sea in deep water, it is very likely that your body, even with weights attached, will never even reach the sea floor. To the fishes, especially the predators of the deep sea like the blind sharks, you are nothing more than lunch. The sharks eat the big pieces and the shrimp gobble up the little pieces. Divers have discovered the remains of seamen from ancient times, say a sunken Roman vessel, but never are there anything more than skeletons, and those only where the bodies were protected from predation. If a body is tossed into a shallow sea, it will most likely float, if not immediately, then after several days the gasses caused by decomposition will bring it up. The surface feeding fish will come to the banquet and, once again, after a period of time there will be nothing left but the bones, the belt buckle and the buttons. If you choose to be cremated, burning a body is a difficult thing and requires a large quantity of extra fuel, in a crematorium, usually natural gas, and then the charred bones are usually ground to be placed in a container to be returned to the heirs. One of the biggest complaints of the Polish residents about the crematoria at the concentration camps, other than the smell, was the heavy fall of ashes from the smoke, falling on their lawns, and the Nazis had to grind up the bones after cremation and plow them into their gardens.

Your point about it being generations between the two latest pandemics, The Bubonic (Black) Plague and the Spanish Flu, is well taken. These two are the end of a long string of pandemics. In the past, mankind did not know what caused them, nor what to do to cure them. (there have been 290 pandemics in written history, each one of which destroyed about a third of the humans on earth. Each one of them has an animal as a foundation and the majority have originated in China.) If these are God's way of reducing the stress on the environment, He is going to have to come up with some other way as we are learning (to a certain small extent) about how to control them. That thought would scare the shit out of me if I were not sure I will already be dead before the next one hits (88 years of age this year) Small question: what benefit does a man with double prostheses get from wearing shorts?
