    Fall From Grace

I've just come across this, it's a brilliant piece of work that speaks up for a great man. I guessed early on that it was about Alan Turing, there is no question about his huge and very important contribution to the war effort. But let us also remember the contribution to the war effort made by many other gay men, many fought on the frontline, others gave support in the jobs they did to support our fighting men. If they had not done what they did, many of them lost their lives, then it is a real possibility that we would not be living the free lives that we do, it is a very real possibility that we would be living in an oppressed society today. There were many gay men and women from The UK and our Allies that contributed to the war effort, we owe them all a great debt.

    The Accountant

Thinking about it I could write Dave into one of my stories, most of them are based around Manchester, 🤣

    The Accountant

I love this chapter, not for the extravagance in splashing the cash to make a special birthday, they have more than that. I love it for the love and affection that they have for each other and openly share, that is what enriches their lives the most and is worth more than anything money can buy. Thank you @Carlos Hazday for another great chapter.

    Aunt May's Magic

Gary you are right, everybody's story should be heard, I hope that when these stories come out they will be received with the understanding they deserve.

    Aunt May's Magic

Thank you Gary for your positive comments, as you know all comments are always welcome. I've said this before not all tales of homelessness, especially youth homelessness, have happy endings. I've been holding back the tales where the ending is not so good, but those tales have been fighting back and I'm not sure how much longer I can do this, I'm afraid that one or two of those tales could escape and find their way on to GA.

    Aunt May's Magic

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment, it is appreciated. Not all stories of youth homelessness have a happy ending, too many end up in tragedy. Luckily in this case Aunt May stepped in and performed her magic. It's the best from of magic too, the magic of caring and sharing love.

    Aunt May's Magic

Aunt May is really special lady who can be counted on, she is a valuable part of the team at The Old Shoe Factory and The New Boot. This story is the latest, but not the last, in The Boot World. Thank you for commenting.

Thank you for the encouraging comment, I appreciate it.
  14. His boots had seen better days. They were scuffed and tatty. The soles were cracked and had holes that were cardboard covered from the inside, and even the cardboard was wet and soggy. Dirty, worn jeans with tears and holes hid his stick-thin legs. His designer label t-shirt and sweater recovered from a bin, were equally as dirty, and worn, covering ribs and spine that would easily be seen if he removed his clothes. A damp jacket and knitted beanie hat finished off his outfit. Was it him or his
  15. Aunt May is a special lady, not because she is famous and not because she is rich. Well maybe she is rich, rich in love and she shares that love. So yes maybe she is rich. 6th June 2023. This story has been revised and edited to improve the reader's experience, it has not been changed in any other way.
  16. Having read a number of stories written by @Dodger and being totally drawn into them, I totally agree this is a well deserved promotion. Well done and congratulations.
  17. I haven't read any of his works before, what swung it for me was listening to the audible sample and being able read a sample of the book on Amazon. It drew me in in a way that told me this is a story I want to know more about and intrigued me. The paperback version isn't available until next year but the hardback version is available immediately, naturally I want it ASAP so the hardback version is on order. I don't know if audible and/or print samples are on amazon for all books but it may be worthwhile pointing out when they are. I'm sure other readers find them a great benefit when deciding.
  18. Thank you for this book review, it does look to be a very good read. I followed the link to Amazon and found it to be very affordable, I also noticed that there is an audible sample to listen to which I found helpful. This book is now on order and I'm eagerly awaiting its delivery.
  19. This wasn't where I originally intended to end this story, but I think it's fitting as anything more is a new adventure for the boys and Ind and Kevin. I think Grandad Ox is feeling just as emotional as everyone else, what do you think? There are more stories to be told in both series that make up The World, they are still in the planning stage and I am yet to put pen to paper.

    The Game

It's the end of this story, but it's not the end of 'The Story', that continues wether it's written or not. This is a brilliant story of one man's personal development that has touched me. Thank you for your wonderful and thoughtful work.
  21. Loren meeting Geoff will help give him a boost, knowing that he has helped someone will increase hi determination to continue so that he can try to have a positive effect on more people. Taylor and Derek's idea of an annual NFL game to boost the profile and finances of organisations trying to help these vulnerable children is great news, I hope they manage to pull it off, TV coverage would massively improve its effectiveness. This is a great feel good chapter.
  22. I'm just going to come out and say it, WTF!! What Rob has uncovered is worse any of us imagined, my blood was boiling as I read it. I know what I would like to see happen to all of the scumbags involved in this type activity, it's illegal but I don't f*****g care. I'd pull the trigger myself if I ever come across someone like this. If Rob would like any assistance I could loan a few characters from my stories to help him, some are based in the UK others are in Israel, they are specialists in covert undercover operations, 😉. Using their public profile to raise awareness and fund organisations that are trying to help children and families affected by these issues is a great idea. One thing I can't understand with the American legal system is, why is there a statute of limitations where criminals can get away with serious offences? For minor crimes like petty larceny I can understand, but crimes of violence, any crime of a sexual nature and crimes against children should be prosecuted no matter when they were committed. On a better and lighter note, it's good to see Jay and Loren having fun, including the girls and joining in with the spirit of thing's with the halloween festivities is what good dad's do. I just hope they don't get too many cavities from eating all of the candy, lol.

    Life as a Family

Phew, it takes longer to get through the comments than it does to read the chapter and now I've forgot most of what I was gonna say. I like the theory that Loren and Lars s called 'parents' are not really their parents, snatched/kidnapped? Maybe. Adopted? Possible but it would have to have been an illegal adoption. Foundlings? Possible but doubtful. One thing is certain, whatever it is about these people that claim to be Loren and Lars parents, there are a lot of other people involved in whatever the deception or cover-up is. I vot we call in The Sherlock's from NCIS and let them investigate, lol 🤣😂🤣 Yet another good and engaging chapter 👍

    Beanie Babies

A great chapter full of love. I'm glad that Loren and Jay could be there when the babies were born, the moment of birth is the best time for parents to bond. I can just picture Loren's face when his daughters were born, he may have felt uncomfortable seeing 'lady bits' but seeing his daughter being born would be the most wondrous thing he will ever see in his life, I'm sure he would have in awe of the miracle of birth. I'm happy that Jays parents, especially mum, have taken to the girls, nobody with a heart could fail to fall for the sweet innocent beauty of babies. Now I gotta get to chapter three.
  25. So the sperm donor and the brood mare want to sue do they, no doubt they think they deserve something from Loren. Actually I agree that they do deserve something from Loren, but I doubt very much that Loren would stoop to their level to slap them silly even though that is what they deserve. I'm sure that Loren will get over his misgivings about having twins, Jay is going to be excited and he will bring Loren into the world of anticipation and excitement of having two wonderful bundles of joy to spoil. Now off to read the next chapter.
