I'm just hoping that Andy and Matt will actually talk face-to-face eventually. Hopefully over the Christmas break. They need to clear the air and talk about the elephant in the room.
Damn, Andy! I told you at the end of the last chapter to contact Matt. So what happens? He contacts you at the start of this one, and you don't even email him back. Is this going to keep happening until you bump into each other during Christmas break?
Great story, @Palantir!
Sad thing about it ending is that my education in the language of Aus has maybe come to an end. Although I did learn the word yabby in this chapter. 😉 (And I suppose I could also check out your stories profile for other Aus based stories...)
Another great chapter!
So... Joel's planning to bring Peter home to meet the mammy. Hopefully Mammy will be accepting. But I do wonder how some of the other residents of Tittybong and its environs may react if they find out the relationship between the two boys...
And, yay! 😂 A new word to add to my expanding knowledge of Aus vocabulary: scroggin (what us normal people just call trail mix 😆)
If Phillip does (as I mused about at the end of the last chapter) have designs on Sam, he might need to consider the words of an old Beatles song...
"Money can't buy me love"
Although some readers might find the idea of intergenerational sexual relationships off putting, I can't help feeling that such may happen between Philip and Sam. And, yes, I know, I don't think we have yet been told what Philip's orientation is.
Hmmm...
Cookies, eh? So it now seems we know why Sam sometimes looks a bit wasted some mornings...
Hopefully this isn't going to cause trouble in paradise.
And my foreign language education continues - I now know what piker means. 😂
Well, last chapter I said that I could see romance starting to form. Not 100% it's romance yet, but the sex definitely sounds hot! 😉
And I feel as though I'm learning a new language (Aus). Thanks to Google, I now know what boofhead means (we say eejit here in Ireland).
Had to do another google. So now I know what a boogie board is. 😂
I think I see a romance starting to form. Can't help but wonder what the reaction will be if ever Joel brings Peter to see what life in Tittybong is like...
I am hoping, if only because this story is being written from the first person POV, that Josh's father doesn't manage to murder his adopted son in his rage. And also hoping no other innocent person finishes up badly injured.
