    Chapter 1

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review In case anyone is wondering, this is actually an old anthology story. It had some massive formatting issues and reposting it was by far the easiest way to fix it. I apologize for any confusion. Thanks for reading!

  3. Stepping Into the Light Written By Myk Edited by Gary and Jason A ray of light stretched out across the room, first falling from the window seal to the floor below, and then creeping across the rich wood floor, before climbing up the side of the bed. Daryl felt the warmth of the early morning light caress his cheek and despite how nice it felt he groaned inwardly, as did thousands of school children that morning, knowing what was to come. “Daryl, time to get up.” Semi-consciously he rolled

  8. Sorry, I've been away for a long time. First off thanks for the review! In many ways it isn't the ending I wanted either, however it was written for an anthology, the escape anthology, I believe. So I had to fit it to the theme, and I wanted to see if I could evoke some emotion. For those things, I think it worked. There could very easily have been a different ending to write tho! Thanks again!

    Story

Without You by Myk “Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today….” Father Morgan began the sombre ceremony. He was in his best black suit, the typical white collar resting brightly over his Adam’s apple as he addressed the small crowd. He had only agreed to perform the service as a special favour. Over the last several months in the hospital, the man had grown to know the couple very well, and they him. In reality they were not a couple anymore. The ‘boys’ had been reduced to

    Chapter 1

With my first set of college exams around the corner I was feeling apprehensive. I was one of the last to pack up for the night. Exiting the library I was greeted by the crisp air. Outside it was dimly lit thanks to the windows at the buildings’ entrance. Beyond that sphere of visibility everything disappeared into the night as if the pathways lead right off the face of the planet. Setting off for the dorms I felt the darkness press in on me. The further I got from the library the more opp
