This short story had everything in 2000 words, overflowing emotions, drama, love and terrible real events. Ultimately it a triumph in several ways.

It was interesting for what it was, although there must be a lot more background we can only imagine or maybe discover if the story continues?

There are the ups, Oh shit. I’m about to kiss a boy. A fucking hot boy. and the downs, You’re on a public beach. There are people here. People with phones. Phones have cameras!

Sky is definitely struggling, he tells us his thoughts, so we know. Now we know Ryan is too and that's a little revelation he shared with Sky. Gabriel, well there's an unknown. This beach party is gonna be some event!

Skylar, love his observations and introspection; Lex is a great side kick; Ryan, I don't know, does he have a pulse? Very entertaining!

A story of warriors, gods, and monstrous creatures, an epic quest of triumph over the fates, and all this without omiting the sexual jousts along the way. The soft pornography of Ancient Greek history as interpreted by the author. I don't imagine it was with this story that he gained a classic author status, because it doesn't make it anywhere close to being a masterpiece, but rests nonetheless entertaining, especially if you are a fan of Ancient Greek mythology.

I didn't notice, but I would agree it is difficult to write a story and keep it going when it's based on a single theme. You just can't really help repeating because there are only so many ways to describe the relationship and there is nothing else, just the interplay between Liam and Randy. But that said it's awfully interesting and leaves you wanting more, just like Liam.

I'd take a guess that Casper does the same thing with Mason and if that's true, how long before they all get together?

Love the descriptive narrative: I followed him back toward the bars, mind spinning like a goddamn hamster wheel, trying to pretend my pulse wasn’t thudding in my ears. Could just picture that cute little hamster running and the wheel spinning, taking him nowhere fast...

Nicely written porn story, Randy was in control and looks like he enjoyed fucking Liam who submitted, opened his mouth and stayed bent over the bed, felt the sting of the paddle across his rear end and took the vigorous ass fucking that followed. He was left hard as a rock, waiting... Waiting along with the readers to find out what happens next!

And is Liam gonna find the direction he needs?

The written narrative is evocative and captivatingly descriptive. The main character's inner struggles are eloquently exposed, the reader is immersed into one man's quest for the perfect relationship, intriguing!

Nope, I never really took that in although it's an obvious clue, it came after. The give away? Perhaps your name or the slight hint of Dutch English, which btw is better than a lot of English guys' English and certainly better than some American English. The Netherlands is an amazing country where, I think, 98% of the population speak pretty much perfect English, which I find amazing. And Dutch boys are so nice! Which is also amazing 😎

Friesland, where the wind sweeps across the flat farmland and yet if you lie down on the opposite side of the building, sheltered, you can sunbathe and profit from the midday sun. Where the the little old stone cottages have stairs as steep as ladders and you can look out the windows across endless fields. The place where it's easy to cycle, so long as the wind is behind you. The place which is protected by dykes from which you can look out across an equally endless sea. And the town, Leeuwarden, the capital, with its neat streets and neat little houses that reminds me of legoland. And then of course the beautiful Dutch boys who like the wind take your breath away. Great opening chapter and an interesting premise, Christianity confined to the middle east and paganism ruling Europe.

Hi, let me hazard a guess, you are Dutch? Nice opening chapter which blends an interesting story plot with the piquant addition of spanking in a one night encounter on a train journey set sometime in the future in a strange new world that is only hinted at by the train itself with a bedroom suite occupied by the police academy trainee. Two worlds, one privileged, the other the outsiders. Of course, it's a total fantasy trip to create a world where the law has been passed to control young delinquents by the use of corporal punishment! I could say it's kind of self-indulgent, but it's also a great choice to put it out there and publish this themed story. I look forward to seeing how things develop.

The soap which has been running for years has featured various different teenage and young adult sexuality. Bart, the owner of The Spoon a bar, cafe, restaurant, was in a relationship with a guy, he declared he is pansexual. There is another soap Ici Tout Commence about a college for hotel restaurants, which is a sort of crossover and features teen, young adult themes, relationships and complications. In the last ten years or so, at least here in France, the (gay) world has changed and it's no big deal to have a different sexuality. The hotel swim wear rules are bizarre, seemingly aligned to some kind of dubious morality. In Europe the opposite applies, you cannot wear loose fitting baggy shorts in public pools and need to wear Speedos or tight fitting swim wear. The reason for this is safety. There are drains at the bottom of the pool which suck out the water to filter, heat, and recycle it. Children have drowned being trapped in the suction by baggy swim wear, so it's banned for safety.

The prologue and first chapter effectively set up the central conflicts and characters of the novel. The writing is generally solid, and the themes of social anxiety, self-discovery, and repressed desire are compelling. The shift in perspective between Damien and Bryan creates intrigue and suggests a potential connection between the two characters or their storylines. The beginning of the story raises several questions that will likely drive the plot forward, making the reader want to know what happens next. An interesting start.
