  1. I guess I'll go check that out. Nice start here for this boys alone fantasy!
  2. I didn't notice, but I would agree it is difficult to write a story and keep it going when it's based on a single theme. You just can't really help repeating because there are only so many ways to describe the relationship and there is nothing else, just the interplay between Liam and Randy. But that said it's awfully interesting and leaves you wanting more, just like Liam.
  3. I'd take a guess that Casper does the same thing with Mason and if that's true, how long before they all get together?
  4. I'm absolutely sure it will be... Yo, what a tease 😝
  5. Eli is about to explode! That could be messy... Are you edging your readers as much as Mason and Casper are toying with Eli?
  6. Love the descriptive narrative: I followed him back toward the bars, mind spinning like a goddamn hamster wheel, trying to pretend my pulse wasn’t thudding in my ears. Could just picture that cute little hamster running and the wheel spinning, taking him nowhere fast...
  7. Very well written, subtle and descriptive, you have me hooked with both story and narrative.
  8. Look at you kids, you know you're the coolest The world is yours and you can't refuse it...
  9. Nicely written porn story, Randy was in control and looks like he enjoyed fucking Liam who submitted, opened his mouth and stayed bent over the bed, felt the sting of the paddle across his rear end and took the vigorous ass fucking that followed. He was left hard as a rock, waiting... Waiting along with the readers to find out what happens next!
  10. And is Liam gonna find the direction he needs?
  11. The written narrative is evocative and captivatingly descriptive. The main character's inner struggles are eloquently exposed, the reader is immersed into one man's quest for the perfect relationship, intriguing!

    First touch

Nope, I never really took that in although it's an obvious clue, it came after. The give away? Perhaps your name or the slight hint of Dutch English, which btw is better than a lot of English guys' English and certainly better than some American English. The Netherlands is an amazing country where, I think, 98% of the population speak pretty much perfect English, which I find amazing. And Dutch boys are so nice! Which is also amazing 😎
  13. Friesland, where the wind sweeps across the flat farmland and yet if you lie down on the opposite side of the building, sheltered, you can sunbathe and profit from the midday sun. Where the the little old stone cottages have stairs as steep as ladders and you can look out the windows across endless fields. The place where it's easy to cycle, so long as the wind is behind you. The place which is protected by dykes from which you can look out across an equally endless sea. And the town, Leeuwarden, the capital, with its neat streets and neat little houses that reminds me of legoland. And then of course the beautiful Dutch boys who like the wind take your breath away. Great opening chapter and an interesting premise, Christianity confined to the middle east and paganism ruling Europe.

    First touch

Hi, let me hazard a guess, you are Dutch? Nice opening chapter which blends an interesting story plot with the piquant addition of spanking in a one night encounter on a train journey set sometime in the future in a strange new world that is only hinted at by the train itself with a bedroom suite occupied by the police academy trainee. Two worlds, one privileged, the other the outsiders. Of course, it's a total fantasy trip to create a world where the law has been passed to control young delinquents by the use of corporal punishment! I could say it's kind of self-indulgent, but it's also a great choice to put it out there and publish this themed story. I look forward to seeing how things develop.
  15. The soap which has been running for years has featured various different teenage and young adult sexuality. Bart, the owner of The Spoon a bar, cafe, restaurant, was in a relationship with a guy, he declared he is pansexual. There is another soap Ici Tout Commence about a college for hotel restaurants, which is a sort of crossover and features teen, young adult themes, relationships and complications. In the last ten years or so, at least here in France, the (gay) world has changed and it's no big deal to have a different sexuality. Ici Tout Commence featured a gay relationship which involved three students and a baby (two boys and a girl). Demain Nous Appartient - Tomorrow Is Ours Ici Tout Commence - It All Starts Here They air Monday to Friday at 18h30, 25 minute episodes and we're at episode 1109 for Ici Tout Commence, 5 seasons, and 1877 for Demain Nous Appartient, 8 seasons. Search for the series and add English subtitles (Demain Nous Appartient English subtitles), but that's a lot of binge viewing 😁
  16. Tubi is a US TV channel, which operates under strict rules. These “rules” are licensing agreements that allow the platform to work exclusively in the US. Go abroad and you'll notice the error that appears each time you try to visit it.
  17. The hotel swim wear rules are bizarre, seemingly aligned to some kind of dubious morality. In Europe the opposite applies, you cannot wear loose fitting baggy shorts in public pools and need to wear Speedos or tight fitting swim wear. The reason for this is safety. There are drains at the bottom of the pool which suck out the water to filter, heat, and recycle it. Children have drowned being trapped in the suction by baggy swim wear, so it's banned for safety.
  18. The prologue and first chapter effectively set up the central conflicts and characters of the novel. The writing is generally solid, and the themes of social anxiety, self-discovery, and repressed desire are compelling. The shift in perspective between Damien and Bryan creates intrigue and suggests a potential connection between the two characters or their storylines. The beginning of the story raises several questions that will likely drive the plot forward, making the reader want to know what happens next. An interesting start.
  19. Third person limited is just what it says with the label, it allows a little more freedom with the principal character because you are using he and they, rather than I, but nevertheless the reader is following only this main character's thoughts and inner feelings. The main character may speculate about a secondary character's inner thoughts, but he doesn't know what another person is really thinking. You cannot put the reader inside another character's head, only with third person omniscient where the reader sees all can you do this.
  20. Did you know penguins can fly?
  21. You have to place the book and the author in their time. Stranger in a Strange Land was published in 1961, it won the 1962 Hugo Award for Best Novel and became the first science fiction novel to enter The New York Times Book Review's best-seller list. In 2012, the Library of Congress named it one of 88 "Books that Shaped America". (Wikipedia) Heinlein was born in 1907 and died in 1988, he served in the US navy, was a registered Republican, but according to Isaac Asimov, a flaming liberal. (Wikipedia) I guess you can say he was a man of his time, perhaps with the prejudices of the era, but also an envy to fight free although maybe he didn't get too far.
  22. Maybe it comes down to an appreciation of the English language, meaning a great piece of writing is not only the story, but also the prose. And what is prose it's “the way you tell me things”. When you write, you will put words together to conjure a certain image, play out a scene, or convey a message. The words you choose and how you use them will be different than another writer’s way of telling me that same image / scene / message. Maybe I prefer your way of telling it because it’s straightforward and easy to read, or maybe I prefer the other writer’s prose because it’s more poetic and uses nice metaphors. Personally I prefer the more poetic with nice metaphors.
  23. I come from a generation where old people at gigs were viewed with high suspicion. Now they’re on the stage as well as in the audiences. People may think I like what I do, but that’s not necessarily the case. I do what I do. My networking is not really networking. If I network and say what I feel about things, it has the total polar opposite effect. I don’t want to be anything and so I live a wonderful life of freedom. I’ve earned the right to be me by sheer bloody-minded persistence. I don’t waste my time idolising other things. I recommend it. It’s a spiritual path. You’re meant to love yourself, despite your inadequacies. Billy Childish (born Steven John Hamper; 1 December 1959) is an English painter, author, poet, photographer, film maker, singer and guitarist. Since the late 1970s, Childish has been prolific in creating music, writing and visual art. He has led and played in bands including the Thee Milkshakes, Thee Headcoats, and the Musicians of the British Empire, primarily working in the genres of garage rock, punk and surf and releasing more than 100 albums. He is a consistent advocate for amateurism and free emotional expression. (Wikipedia)
  24. I'm not too sure about that. There certainly used to be circa late nineties and carrying on past the millennium. The beginning of gay story sites which developed the graphic sex porn material into sex with a plot, and the model was story peppered with sex, if not quite sex in every chapter, nearly. Today, that model is still there. Even more so if you look at any foreign gay story site, probably why you get a dusting of foreign writers here, because the site hosts stories which don't follow that model, but the model exists or existed.
