Seems to add to the belief that they really don't know what they are doing doesn't it? Am I the only person that finds such disposable attitudes appaling? Have we degraded to such a point where it is acceptable to throw everything away?

Please be more careful next time

Sorry Kevin, but that reasoning is historically inaccurate. It was pointed out earlier the Kids from Columbine purchased their own weapons off the street. Also you need look no further then Prohibition to see how "upstanding" citizens will turn to whatever market supplies what they need. As for purchasing weapons this way being more time consuming... How? Every gun sold in the State of California has a 14 day waiting period. To purchase a handgun one has to watch a video, read a book on gun safety and pass a test. Does this keep weapons out of the hands of countless gang members? No. I'll leave you to deduce how they get their hands on the weapons they require. The only time consuming thing about the black market is obtaining the knowledge of who to see, after that 10 15 minutes tops and you will get what you want. As a society we have a bad habit of blaming objects/others for the ills of our society. The startling fact in most cases is that the blame lays no further then the closest mirror. All of these school shootings, They should place the parents on trial for manslaughter (negligent homicide) It was their negligence and lack of involvement with their children that is the root of the mess. Perhaps we should start licensing parents as well?

I don't even know where to start. The shootings, all of them are unfortunate, but to go as far as a very public execution and strict gun control? Neither of those are realistic solutions. Publicly executing a 14 year old for a crime is heinous. I don't think I'd care to be part of any society that condones such a action. Just as I am remiss to be a part of a society that hold a juvenile as copable for crimes as an adult. It is a disgusting double standard where we tell them they are not old enough to have certain freedoms, but on the other hand tell them they are old enough to be punished as an adult. Stricter gun control laws only thwart those of us who do abide by the law. behind Illicit drugs, the black mark for guns is the second largest shadow market in the world. Stricter controls will only force more traffic to the black market. As far as kids handling guns. I dont think they should not be allowed, but they should be supervised all the time, and they should be taught to respect the weapons. I own a gun, I go camping several times a year. Guns jam. Let me tell you anyone who steps in front of a muzzle, loaded or not, at our campsite gets a severe tongue lashing. Putting yourself in danger like that is just thoughtless and stupid. As far as the original post that implied certain groups of society having more right over other groups to lash out against that society... That is just stupid. It is stupid and dangerous. Each sub group has just as much right as every other to react, but that goes off into a whole different rant.

Not a spoiler, just trend analysis I wouldn't call what he does editing. He usualy just moans about me picking on small towns for some reason... It's not like I say disparaging things about goats, or people that live up in the mountains, far away from civilization... Theodore Kaczynski did that; don't ya know. He is a GOAT, he simply cannot help himself.

For now I have cable at home, and DSL at work. Speeds, Well I'll have to get back to you on that not that it matters much because its all limited to the wireless router's speed.

Chapter 26 is up!

Updates updates updates... Wonky eared bastard from previous post. He's still annoying and still around, but I'll have my moment of retribution yet. he came in with his boss over the weekend and tried sneakery to change things. I hate when vendors do that, absolutely hate it. Classes are going good, the winter inter-session concludes this Thursday. Taking a sixteen week course in six weeks has been interesting, stressful, but interesting. I dunno I thought it would be cake, turns out I'm not real good at the turn around of an essay in roughly five days. That includes a rough draft and peer review and a final draft. Five days is barely enough to get a rough draft done, let alone the other two. The end result is that I have two essays now due on Thursday, fun right? I can brag and say the three I have turned in so far two have been 100's while the third was a disappointing 85. Par for the course I guess, I got the grade yesterday; needless to say it fit right in with yesterdays theme, which was shit in case you were wondering. I'm officially taking a break from English next term. I need to, it is interfering with other less academic pursuits. I know that sounds bad, but it is those less then academic pursuits that keep me relatively sane. A former employee stopped in today to pick up a copy of his W2, apparently he never received the copy that was mailed. Damnit if he still isn't as good looking as ever. he's quiet by nature, won't look a person he considers an authority figure in the eye. keeps his head down, but he has a wicked sense of humor and generally good personality. I miss the happy faces he used to draw over everything. Funny how something so simple can make the day better isn't it? Such is life, he got a better job, but he is still an adorable little grease monkey and if there was ever the slightest inclination he was interested I would definitely go for it. However, it seems I am consistently let down in that department. Luck of the draw I guess. He is still a perfect fantasy though, with his curly-brown scruffy hair, and quiet nature. For some odd reason he's the kind of guy you just want to hug. Till next we meet again, catch ya' on the flip side. Steve

hrmm that would depend on the nature of exploitation. As far as I know A&F recruits models from its store employees ( Info on the website says wanna model? first get a job at one of our stores.) Do I think any of those three cracks are being exploited? Nope, they know what the are signing on for. A&F's advertising history ensures as much. That is not to say i don't think the brand isn't exploiting someone somewhere along the line. perhaps we can start with the $80.00 pair of pants and work our way backwards from there.

Long story short, I was up way too late and Altered states came on. Interesting movie; featuring a crucified man with the head of a goat. That was what I was looking for so I did a google search for a pic of it. No such luck I'm afraid, but I did find the "Goats Go Boom" graphic and could not resist. It's also availible in a larger desktop graphic from goatart.com. Shame about that altered states goat though. It explains the sunglasses phenominon far better then the whole red eyed goat graphic. Six eyes, thats all I have to say. and Uhoh is right...

I guess its a good thing they don't have a large reproduction of Botticelli's The Birth of Venus anywhere right? Full on nipplage there. Or ,heaven forbid, Giambologna's The Rape which depicts the Roman mythology of the abduction of the Sabine women. I know, no fair pitting classical art against Aberporn, yet one in the same, all three are accepted representations of Art. So Abercrombie uses its commissioned photography to great skill, but come on you see more lewdness on MTV then you ever will in a B&W photograph. I often wonder who complains about these things, and why they confuse a tingle of excitement with the bad taste of shame.

Land of the free... Yup free to complain and ruin things for everyone else because you may feel uncomfortable. Such is the price of living in a society formed on Reliegeous principles.

Enjoy or suffer from? ... It's a thin line that separates the two. Perhaps I should start releasing communications from our intrepid goat, declaring his true desires. Never the less I agree with Jan there are five choices, and I believe recognition should be given where due. Not by the urging of a quadruped and his earnest following. -

that would depend if I had to provide proof of the job completed... then I could just make them disapear. now I must mention SPiCE has definate issues with the quoted passage. There are demands that the author cease and desist any story arc's or plot lines that would, or could lead to harm of Eric. Such harm includes, but is not limited to, Brain damage, falling from Cliffs, exposure to thermonuclear weapons, or any other literary measures that can lead to the corruption, either in mind or body, of Eric Carlisle. We may be placated though -

Normally i would agree graeme. normally. I differ hear because the scar specifically said that he is willing to pay 4x the going rate because they were quite famous. Implying that it was a bonus vecuase whomever is to be delt with has extenuating circumstances of fame. And conciquntly, if I was a hit man I'd charge on a per body basis. If I got caught I would be charged per body so why not demand payment in kind?
